Re: I say YES. YOU say NO....Numero Tre! Enjoy!
I would love a Harris/Buttigieg ticket but that would create some hysteria over, gender, race and sexual orientation. It would be nice if Biden taking his time was due to some behind the scenes shoring up of Harris and not the turning on Biden that is seemed to be. I’m excited to back Harris but I would vote for a ham sandwich over Trump and I’m a vegetarian.

Men are not comfy with her being in office and to that I say, oh well.

We are getting huge amts. of news and on the Reps. side, they sound totally wet and dirty from being mopped up off the floor. Makes me wonder just how long did they think they could continue to get air time with nothing new to say but the vein of Bidden too old.
They did in fact though get to ignore all that was wrong with their candidate and certainly no one seemed to worried. It is now laughable that the 'tables' whipped around and shoved them for a loop. Not too long to get back up on their feet even if most of it is a bit on the insane and impossible side. I think it hysterical that they did have a campaign and convention that are nearly useless now. Of course they wish to call foul — their chances of loss may be insurmountable with their old senile nominee/candidate.
We don't know that, but I'm rather amazed (I heard the figure that $81,000,000.00 was raised in 24 hours for Harris) and that should help strike pure terror in the heart of EVERY Reps. period.
Honestly, I'm not watching news much more than I was. Even though I'm as excited as anyone, we won't know much for a bit. It is all repetitive and there are a lot of issues to solve — like just what are the Reps. going to come up with. In passing other than trying to spew stupid reasons why they were duped and that the Democrats should give them back their money (have they never heard what needs to happen in hell for some things) it seems like they are going to shift or try to the blame they were heaping on Pres. Biden over to Kamala Harris. Like the border issues etc. I can't see they will impress many with that other than the super loyal Reps. that were going to vote for them anyway. You can't have both jobs at the same time. Harris was Vice Pres. and now she is going to make a fantastic President which I hope with all my heart and soul.
Re: NATALEE TRIAL
Hey Mariadelpilar,
This sounds like the study I joined about five months ago. I had stage II with a high chance of recurrence and a level 3 grade tumor. It was in one lymph node. I had a left mastectomy, then four rounds of chemo, then a ton of radiation. Then, I had a month or so off to recover before starting therapy. I decided to go all out because I figured I could scale back the medicine but couldn't join the study later. I am therefore doing ovarian suppression shots monthly (the needle is huge but actually doesn't really hurt), an AI once every day, and the 4mg Ribociclib. I also take Effexor and barely notice hot flashes.
Frankly, I'm surprised at how well I'm doing. The main side effects I have had are some fatigue, some vaginal dryness, and perhaps hair thinning, but I exercise about 45 min of cardio a day plus yoga and weights regularly. I still have a sex life. The weird thing is I now sleep about 8-9 hours a night at the minimum, which is weird as most people sleep less in menopause. I also got local vaginal estrogen to use which is not supposed to get into your bloodstream and cause problems. Also I am on the younger side of things, 42.
Also, you immunity can get lowered, which is the main draw back for me, especially with the virus outbreak. My immunity is lower than normal but my oncologist insists that the numbers look good still and I haven't been sick in over a year and a half (knock on wood). I am being very careful and self-quarantining right now as much as possible (but I also am a teacher and live in the middle of the Seattle outbreak!).
I am thankful for this decision as I had a high chance of recurrence and the longer I can push of recurrence, the more treatments there will hopefully be. The Kisquali is only for 3 years and then just the AI for up to 5 or maybe 10 years.
Hope that helps a little bit.

Besides Newsom also being from CA, he has never shown too much interest in being second fiddle, though he was lieutenant governor at one point. Despite Orange County and some pockets of Republicans in Kevin McCarthy territory, CA is definitely a blue state.
BTW, I love those silly arguments the Reps are putting up over the candidate change. Since the convention hasn’t been held, no Democratic candidate has been named so there’s nothing to change.
Re: I say YES. YOU say NO....Numero Tre! Enjoy!
I do think it is ironic that the GOP commercials are now complaining about Democrats disenfranchising other Democrats by having Biden drop out, but thought it was perfectly OK to try to completely overturn a legitimate election that Democrats won fair and square!

Interesting memes and thoughts. Ruth, I'm still thinking about that one. Not sure we could have an actual Rep. on the ticket, but I remain grateful (if wary in some ways) that Kinzinger and Chaney stepped up to a plate over the likes of Trump. I still appreciate that they were willing to sacrifice for democracy as well.
Camille, I had a couple tears in my eye as well since it is easy to tickle my emotions and I was forewarned. No matter what Hunter has done, his dad held him up through the bad times loving him and caring as though he were a perfect person. That's really devoted to life and principle's. The Biden's have I think always been a wonderful family.
Long morning, lots to do and not a lot of tv time, but I remain the same — seeing the Reps. upset as all get out and sort of reaping what they have sown. I think while Kamala has some work to do I can't imagine that Trump can survive well at all. Also, the Reps. They will get it together, but their 'together' may not reach far enough at all.

The trick of living is to slip on and off the planet with the least fuss you can muster. I’m not a professional philanthropist, and I’m not running for sainthood. I just happen to think that in life we need to be a little like the farmer who puts back into the soil what he takes out.
