Re: I say YES. YOU say NO....Numero Tre! Enjoy!
As sobering as the news is about GOP efforts to undermine the election, I’m glad to be aware of it to so I can spread the info, which I’ve been doing and will continue to do so.
Re: So...whats for dinner?
Nance, good to hear from you. Special, hope you are OK. Illimae, I hope the chemo-food situation improves soon.
I made thai coconut curry mahi-mahi. I'm not a big fan of "mealy" white fish but poaching it in coconut milk made it incredibly yummy. Leftovers tonight.
Our sequim trip was rescheduled (today) to the 21st. Hate last minute calls, but we went shopping locally for the things we needed.
I'm making a goat leg with black beans tomorrow, in the crockpot.
Fishing should be good this week if air quality and temps remain good.
For those that read my earlier posts in prep for guest, I detest housekeeping. It isn't that it is difficult, it just seems like such a thankless job. Kudos to any guys (eric!) reading this that help their wives.

That was an eye-opening read. I must say for some reason we Democrats are way too slow on the uptake. Marc Elias said:
While this wasn’t going to resolve it all, these were three actionable steps that states and Congress could have taken. When that didn’t happen, we then saw Republicans expand the use of weaponizing certification in 2022.
The minute someone like Elias tells you, you should do something I'd think you'd do it. Why we hold back and ignore some of the best and 'free' advice I just can't fathom. It does not make sense. I must assume that many of the places who wouldn't do anything had too many R's there or something. We all know that the Reps. don't and for many, many years have not had any restraint what-so-ever in using anything and everything legal and very much illegal to gain what they want. So it does should like we could have a difficult time of it. That said, I still think a lot that we don't know about or will hear before-hand has taken place. I can't imagine having everyone work so hard and pour their heart and soul, energy and money into winning back our democracy fully and not seeing that as many of the suppression and other methods that the Reps. will use have been nullified as much as possible.
I will worry, but that was why (at least it was the impression I got) we need to win by as high a margin as we can. So that ANY methods used to thwart will be let do. If it is close — a problem could exist, but if we go big it would be almost impossible to have it all go wrong.

Trishyla, I agree that Marc Elias has been a great defender of democracy and is definitely gearing up to meet the challenges that will most likely follow this upcoming election. It heartens me, but also angers me that this sort of advocacy has become a necessity. At this point, I will joyfully take any news that gives us reason to hope. Go Blue! ( that’s for our democracy and my LA Dodgers 🙂)

For all of you worried about Trump and his minions trying to steal this election, look up Marc Elias. He is a brilliant election lawyer who works to preserve democracy at all levels. He and his staff are the main reason all of Trump's election related lawsuits failed in court.
I feel so much more confident in our country's ability to withstand Trump's fascist campaign because Elias is on the front lines. He truly is a national treasure.
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
artwish - I was hoping the MODS would jump in since my expertise is NOT computers & actually sent them a PM. But…no such luck…. HEY MODS - where are you????
Not sure of your age, but there are numbers of discussion threads for two groups of older women. Below are the categories from the sign in page. That is in addition to the categories specific to your diagnosis, treatment & symptoms. Check it out.

Of course, you're not weird. Who'd say such a thing ?

I am, we all are, hoping the big campaign stop in AZ is indicative of what kind of voter turnout there will be for the Dems in that state. I remain guardedly hopeful.
I read a comment that FG isn’t campaigning too hard because he has ways to steal the election, therefore he doesn’t have to put much effort into it. I’m concerned that there may be some merit to that. I worry that Elon Musk will use his powers to mess up computers tallying votes or something. I remember that many Dems in all states were in the wings waiting to make sure any challenges to the 2020 election were defeated. I know these same kinds of Dems are standing by the ready this time, too. Biden’s remarks show he expects protests and worse with a FG loss. That tells me he and his admin are on alert should it occur. Tragic that it’s come to this.
