harley07, if the ezitimibe worked, I don't see why your PCP is trying to make you use statins. I looked at the price for Repatha and it is ridiculously expensive. I feel for you that your PCP is not patient centered in your care, but essentially being a bully with "my way, or the highway tactics". I hear you about only seeing a physician, NP, PA out of necessity. I'd like a visit where I get an "atta girl" rather than a new medical concern but realize at my age this may be wishful thinking. However, you are a trooper and have my admiration for your ability to face hiccups with grit and grace.
There is no one size fits all in medicine and I guess that's why I loved my PCP. With every change necessitated by my medical needs, my PCP and I would discuss the pros and cons of approaches. She advised an increase in my statin dosage when my LDL went up but I could not tolerate the increase, so we went back to the original dose. It has now decreased into the normal limits so I am glad and so was she. I don't know why it went down, but glad it did.
Overcast day again with temps in the 70's. Rain on the horizon and I hope to be able to cut the dead wood out of the hydrangeas. I have 3 more bushes to do. I don't like the clippers we have because they are too heavy for this job. I just need a good pair of secateurs which I thought had, but they seem to have disappeared. The big ones work best on tree branches where you need the force to sever it.
Will clean bird cages before I head outside and need to make new nectar for hummingbird feeder. Haven't seen hummingbird lately so I am wondering if it found a better one.

Yes, very thankful for my helicopter doc! I was able to get discharged todayπππ. The surgeon was happy with what she saw, most of the redness was gone and breast cultures came back positive for group b strep, which is easily treatable with oral meds. Itβs so much nicer sitting on the back deck than in a hospital room.

@goldensrbest What a shock! Very glad that you have "helicopter" internist that got you in so quickly and had a great surgeon as well. Could have been a much different result if it was a doctor who pooh-poohed your concerns. Hope you won't have to be in the hospital for too long but I'm glad that you are getting the care you need. Wishing you a pleasant day of healing.

A hateful, ugly man who will only hold onto the "I'm special, see" moments for a short while before he once again feels totally empty and 'needing' something β too bad the something never reaches where it needs to be for the loon to be fulfilled.
He never gets that no matter what he does he remains an empty hollow entity with nothing to look forward to or enjoy. Thank God, I'm me.
