Re: Really scared
thanks for all the tips , much appreciated. I’m still scared as it sounds bad. Not sure I can do it.
Re: STEAM ROOM FOR ANGER
Wow! 9 years is awesome. Thanks for the empathy. This latest cruel remark is added to a long line of indifference and bad behavior on his part since my initial diagnosis. He does nothing to make this easier for me and goes out of his way to make things more difficult. I had considered a topper, but the strands of hair are so fine (in addition to being sparse) that it would never blend.
Have been trying hard to go out into the world and participate in activities, but the days when my courage fails me are becoming more common. Sorry for the negative post. I do have a therapist and access to prescription meds if I want/need them, but I prefer to face the reality of my situation. As with everyone else, some days are just more difficult than others.
Take care,
Eleanora
Re: Verzenio
Hello All! I have been taking Verzenio for a year, but I had to stop for a bit, after being hospitalized. This is my experience:
The side effects waste no time showing up. Diarrhea is the worst, and on July 4, 2025, I had to go to the ER. I drove to the vet to pick up my dog's meds, and I was extremely unstable on my feet, light headed. The day before, I had gone to the grocery store and was very confused as to why I was there. On the 4th, I was unable to complete my yard work. I was unable to catch my breath. The ER determined that I had low BP, low potassium, UTI, and dehydrated. I was treated and sent home with antibiotics and more potassium. I fished the antibiotics and continued taking potassium. July 16th, I had an appointment with oncology. I remember checking in and sitting down in the waiting area. I then woke up on Friday the 18th. I was still in the ER, waiting for a room. I don't remember what happened. I only know what others told me. I did have to be sedated and I had a sitter, even though I was asleep. Life was great for a the past couple of weeks, while I was not taking the Verzenio. I started taking it again today, and I got diarrhea as soon as I ate, or drank even water. I saw the oncologist Aug 6th, and asked about switching to a different medication. I was told that it was too costly.
That's my story

Re: how about drinking?
I'm feeling sad this morning. One of my long-time bc.org friends, Illinois Lady (Jackie), has passed. She had been missing from the Oldies thread over a week and we all thought she was probably having computer problems. One of our members did some searching and found her obituary. What a shock. I will miss Jackie.
On the positive side, we did not have violent weather in the early hours this morning. The forecast had warned of strong winds and possible tornados. The forecast is the same for tonight.
Hope your shopping trip with Mom goes well, NM.
Sheet pan dinners are a great idea if one has an oven and it isn't too hot to use it. LOL.
