Re: So...whats for dinner?
Oh, Maggie, you sound so strong about your DH's fall. He's had several and I've managed so far, but it gets more emotional. I sobbed all day yesterday and into the morning. I literally slid him down the hallway (grateful it is a short trek from potty to bedroom) and at least he was on carpeting and the bed, to figure it out. ****SOB***** PTSD in the night over that. I don't want any indignity for him, but calling someone was worse to him. Good to know about fire dept. help. I'll have to plug that into my phone.
I ended up making chicken filipino adobo tonight. Ribeyes tomorrow.
Re: Who's starting Radiation in November 2025? Let's gather here to share!
Hi @redwinelover !! Congratulations on completing your rad treatments!! Woo hoo! Huge milestone, but I know it feels like you’re not done.
I'm sorry about your symptoms, I did not experience nausea or the sharp pains you describe. Ugh, none of it is great and I’m hoping for some relief and rest for you. Those 2 weeks were just the worst for me, and I agree an hour by hour assessment is better than a full day!!
It for sure feels like a never ending journey. I had my PT evaluation this week and will start weekly sessions. Symptoms similar to the cording I had before radiation are returning….arm stiffness, decreased range of motion, and nerve pain are all back with a vengeance. Sigh. I believe I’ll come to know the PT team quite well unfortunately. .
Enjoy some cuddles under a fluffy blanket and watch some funny shows and movies. Let yourself rest. I wish I had done more of that. Learn from my mistake! lol
Be well ❤️
