Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
Good morning. It would have been my DH's 73 birthday, today. I will celebrate without him. I am going on a boat ride with my LIFT group and out to dinner with some friends from the grief support group. Still have tears in my eyes.
Re: DCIS Stage 0 High Grade HR+
hi @moderators
Thank you for your message. I am still so new to this forum and trying to figure out how to message.
I did reply but not sure if it was sent.
I am still waiting to hear from the Cancer Centre about my start date. That part is making me anxious.
When I know my start date I will be able to prepare myself mentally knowing that I have a date for the next phase in my journey.
Embracing with strength!!
Re: STEAM ROOM FOR ANGER
@ctmbsikia I feel you with the insurance-related anxiety. Hopefully you can figure out something reasonable until a year from now.
I hit my out of pocket max earlier this year. Hate to say it but I'm scheduling as much as I can this calendar year, even though I'm so over seeing doctors! It's silly, the way we contort to get the care we need without going medically bankrupt, but it's also necessary. I can't imagine the past year of care without having insurance coverage.
Re: CA 27.29 elevated
thank you. I think I’m calming down now. I just panicked. I really appreciate you replying xx
CA 27.29 elevated
I finished chemo for Stage 2 ER+ Her2- about 7 months ago, then 20 rounds of radiation, and been on anastrozole and Verzenio since then. CA 27.29 was 21 about a month after chemo but was tested this week (6 months later) and has risen to just out of normal range at 41. I know these tests are not reliable on their own but this seems like a big jump. I have a call in to discuss with my MO ASAP, but until then, just looking for ways to keep myself calm and not think the worst. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated. Thank you!
