Re: Verzenio
Hello All! I have been taking Verzenio for a year, but I had to stop for a bit, after being hospitalized. This is my experience:
The side effects waste no time showing up. Diarrhea is the worst, and on July 4, 2025, I had to go to the ER. I drove to the vet to pick up my dog's meds, and I was extremely unstable on my feet, light headed. The day before, I had gone to the grocery store and was very confused as to why I was there. On the 4th, I was unable to complete my yard work. I was unable to catch my breath. The ER determined that I had low BP, low potassium, UTI, and dehydrated. I was treated and sent home with antibiotics and more potassium. I fished the antibiotics and continued taking potassium. July 16th, I had an appointment with oncology. I remember checking in and sitting down in the waiting area. I then woke up on Friday the 18th. I was still in the ER, waiting for a room. I don't remember what happened. I only know what others told me. I did have to be sedated and I had a sitter, even though I was asleep. Life was great for a the past couple of weeks, while I was not taking the Verzenio. I started taking it again today, and I got diarrhea as soon as I ate, or drank even water. I saw the oncologist Aug 6th, and asked about switching to a different medication. I was told that it was too costly.
That's my story

Re: how about drinking?
I'm feeling sad this morning. One of my long-time bc.org friends, Illinois Lady (Jackie), has passed. She had been missing from the Oldies thread over a week and we all thought she was probably having computer problems. One of our members did some searching and found her obituary. What a shock. I will miss Jackie.
On the positive side, we did not have violent weather in the early hours this morning. The forecast had warned of strong winds and possible tornados. The forecast is the same for tonight.
Hope your shopping trip with Mom goes well, NM.
Sheet pan dinners are a great idea if one has an oven and it isn't too hot to use it. LOL.
Re: STEAM ROOM FOR ANGER
Thanks for this thread. I have nowhere else to get out my anger and sorrow over my husband's behavior and I really need to do that right now.
My hearing has been deteriorating over the past few years, resulting in my avoiding social situations because of the embarrassment of not understanding what people are saying combined with my sensitivity over significantly thinned hair. I considered hearing aids, but didn't want to spend the money, as I expected to die soon (I've been stage IV for 40 months). Other than my husband, family and friends do not know about the cancer.
Finally got hearing aids at Costco yesterday and was wearing them when my son and daughter in law stopped by. My daughter in law commented on the hearing aids and I asked if she could see them. She said "sure, when you turn around".
That's when I realized that I don't have enough hair to conceal even small hearing aids.
After they left I told my husband how sad her comment made me and he said "Why don't you grow more hair?" I told him that I would love to do that, but I'd have to stop Kisqali and Faslodex for that to happen. He shrugged and walked away. I hate him.
Hearing aids are going back tomorrow. Wish there was a place I could return him for a refund.
Re: I say YES. YOU say NO....Numero Tre! Enjoy!
