Re: Single life after a mastectomy
Don't worry I'm single if that helps and basically the partner I had saw me through the chemo etc remission then about 3 months ago I found out he had been seeing his ex for the past year.
It's really painful etc - but I'm happier without the stress he brought me that's for sure. I don't think a guy who really cares for you would care less if you had a masectomy or not. I saw my oncologist the other day and he agreed that he had seen many relationships break up after cancer and that people almost fear they will 'catch it' as such. I laughed but have found that people can treat you oddly as they worry that you will not survive etc.
Re: Not Diagnosed and Waiting for Test Results? Start Here
I got my biopsy results. They are benign. Thank you all for all the support 🙏🏾
Re: Oncotype test
Ok..I didn't realize this .mine was 1.2 cm ..or 11.mm.. first it said 9 mm then after surgery it was 11 mm.. but they still didn't offer it to me...
4k..wow.. are there any tests one could take at this point to determine recurrence or met chances? I know they have the online versions which I've done but I didn't know if there was anything more substantial
Thanks Maggie..you are always so helpful..

Re: Cats, cats, cats
I have been struggle with drug side effects while trying to control night sweats. I realized today I haven't updated the kitten story. All the kittens have recovered from distemper. I am caring for Guppies three brothers. They finally caught the fourth brother. He is an orange tabby like guppy. He is beginning to warm up. His name is Koi and yes his nose is dirty.
I glad they caught him. Our weather here has been hot humid and stormy. I live on top of a mountain. Today's storm flooded almost every road to my house. What normally takes me 10 minutes took me over a ½ hour. I must have turned around 4 times to get up the hill.
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
Looks like I missed several celebrations - Congratulations whether it was a birthday, anniversary, or canacerversary - I think that how you put it. Also, Happy Canadian Day, canary cat. Enjoy the fireworks.
Dogs still doing okay although I think they both think we give to much attention to the other. Bella discovered the toy box tonight but they each found something to make them happy. Bella is actually at least 10 lbs. lighter than Mutz but is emerging as the alpha dog. She rushes to get ahead if she falls behind on the walks.
Ken saw cardiologist today and he's putting him on another medication and asked him to consider a Watchman. Don't think he will. The last two times he had a stint put in, he arrested.
Heat is breaking. It will be under 110 for a high for the rest of the week!
Re: IBC lounge: roll call, support and just a good place to hang out
TT, glad to hear your cancers have not come back, I am sorry you developed that disease but glad that your new drug has you on the mend. In your pocket lending support and warm thoughts. I am still cancer free from the neck down, brain shows nothing either other than enhancement which is not indicative of new cancer and the silly blood pool in my head, that has been there a year. Oh well, nothing to worry about for me at this point.
