Shana - Re the Verzenio labs, I always have a couple lows like sodium and calcium, but like with you, there are never any major worries. I think that's routine from what I'm experiencing. I think some of the troubles I've had these past couple of weeks (gastrointestinal, lots of joint pain, fatigue) are from the shots I got almost 2 weeks ago now. Hoping for improvement now until the next round.
So glad you got to your neighborhood get together. Sounds wonderful! Nice that you got a "reserved" table. You were a guest of honor ๐. I hear you about just getting so sore from sitting that you have to get up and go too. Sounds like a nice day out all in all though.
@rlschaller Oh you must feel a little weight bit of weight lifted knowing there is a plan in place. So we'll remain positive that this all comes together for you by the end of the summer.
Yes we can breathe a little! I'm hoping that maybe the nurse can encourage her to fight and be a little more compliant. In the end it's her life and she's 87 so she is tired, so I understand. It's in her hands and a higher being. We will just keep smothering her with love.
@eleanora I called my dental office this morning thinking it would take weeks to get in, but they had a cancellation for tomorrow. I would rather get it done than fret about it, so in I go. Thanks for the encouragement.
@shanagirl Your posts are always so sweet. Thank you for thinking of everyone knowing all that you are going through! I echo your words of encouragement and love to all. This site is helps me hold on!
Just saying hello to all. I've been absent for awhile. Not really sure just why. Maybe the weather, maybe just needed a break. Anyway I hope all are doing as well as possible and enjoying the summer. I haven't read back posts as of yet and I'm not sure I'll be able to get through very many, but will give it a go, gradually over the next few days.
@sunnidays-When I had joint pain in my hand from letrozole, I started taking a ginger pill every day and the pain completely went away. Recently I have had hip pain due to arthritis. NSAIDS worked very well for me, both celebrex and Diclofenac. Now I am trying to get off NSAIDS. Last week I had a very helpful acupuncture treatment and the doctor also put me on Chinese herbals. My hip has improved quite a bit after only a few days. I would be very wary of a treatment break but can relate to your concerns about joint pain affecting our quality of life. IMHO, uncontrolled cancer has a worse impact on QOL.
@threetree , any extra movement is good. And Iโm glad you decided to do the biopsy.
Today the Enhance Fitness instructor told me that I should do the balance exercises every day. I suck at the balance stuff . I think itโs the Xelodaโs fault
@kbl thanks Kris, I got the chat abd was able to catch up a little on everyones progress, thanks a lot. Im sorry about your inability to eat much and all youre going through, and I pray that you get some occasional relief at least . My bloodwork was ok. But the Mammogram and Ultrasound showed a pea size lesion on that same breast. I'll get my Oncologists opinion on that today. ๐๐ป๐๐ป love and hugs
I was very anxious last year when I had two crowns replaced, but it went really well. Since the work does not invade the jaw, was able to continue as normal with meds. Hope your experience is the same.
Think about you every day with all you are dealing with, but like you, struggle to post as often as I should. Hoping that the dental work proceeds smoothly, with no ONJ - remember, the percentage of patients who develop it is relatively low, so you have a good chance at success ๐The big D could definitely be from amoxicillin. Antibiotics have that effect on me too. If you aren't already including yogurt or other sources of probiotics in your diet, please add some. It will protect the good gut bacteria.
Following your journey with the new liver development and histotripsy. Thanks for educating me on something that could be in my future. Hoping it turns out to be a quick and painless solution to the problem.
