Given recent changes in regulation and the administration, I am hearing many more women are being denied reconstruction and revision care by all companies, but especially United Healthcare. I know my revision has been denied four times, and we now have to go to mediation (sure, that'll go well…). For the most recent "special review," my surgeon submitted 120 pages of documentation—and the appeal was denied less than 24 hours later, so clearly no one reviewed anything.

I had several cycles with an extra rest week to get my neutrophils back to 1 or a 1000 or however they write it up. Been lowered to 400 and 6 years later it’s still doing the job. So don’t stress when they lower it 💪
If Kisqali wants your neutrophils down, they’re going down. The real magic is in the week off and if needed : a dose drop — not the food aisle. (This is meant to be comforting , sorry I’m no poet)

You are welcome. We all have to find the path that works for us and this aligns with what I feel. I am happy to report that my Signatera test came back today and showed a negative where in March it was 1 percent. That means no detectable tumor cells in my blood. Peace be with us all!

@irishlove Ugh those vet prices…yikes! Hopefully the bare minimum gets your answer and hope the it was the anal glands. Also best to be prepared for Erin then maybe she won't come , isn't that how it goes sometimes lol. I also second the Chick-fil-a grilled sandwich , low calorie and tasty!

Hi all. Mara, hope all your appts. go well and transit delivers you safely. Tigger sounds like he's pretty smart and must enjoy saunas. lol. I'm sorry you missed a trip out and about with your DB. If you get the opportunity of going to Chick-fil-a, I highly recommend their chicken noodle soup and grilled chicken sandwich. It's enough to make two meals and the soup is excellent.

Hi Wren. Ah, thanks for responding. We'll get her checked next visit. We did have prior rescues that suffered seizures. This seems different to me, but I'm not a vet. Waiting for Pigeon to come home from the vet. I can't believe the multiple suggested tests and billing. We can't afford $1000 for UTI test ($250), heartworm test and heartworm pills (triple what we pay at Petco for same brand). I'm fairly sure it's anal gland related and so the tech "expressed" her glands. We'll see but today after her bath and just before going to the vet, she did not have an odor "down below". Figures.

Completed my second cycle of this combo and again neutrophils low. Even though this time - especially this last week focused a lot on my food, broccoli, sweet peppers, protein intake, bone broth etc 😅 oh well part of the game I guess. So we wait another week then based on my results take a call on next steps.
I have to admit taking these longer breaks give me anxiety and make me worry that my medication won’t be as effective but my oncologist doesn’t have the same concerns so dunno.. anyway I hope it gets better.

Update, Tigger is still on top of the washers, usually likes both but as long as they are not open that is fine, warm air is what he is looking for I think. I will just take a dry towel and wipe both out and keep lids closed for his safety. He knows Ava does not go anywhere but in the window so for him, the tops of my washers or the sink are fair game. He is happy in there.

Yay. Much cooler today. A bit too cool but if it means rain I’ll take it. The forecast near Port Alberni ( inland Vancouver Island) is now at 3,406 Hectares and out of control. Desperately need a number of days rain. This fire started Aug 11!
Our air quality is still clear on the south tip of the Island but I know the smoke has gone over to the Mainland. Pray for lots of rain and no thunderstorms!

Irish, I am sorry about your dog but glad that you had a good meal at Cracker Barrel and that your Factor box had some really good food in it to eat. Sounds great.
I did get to bed at a civilized hour and woke early for me. Slept pretty well. I have my echo so going out this morning but that is fine, should be home earlier. Tomorrow have my CT scan in the afternoon, need to make sure I stop eating 4 hours before. Next week have Herceptin on Wednesday. Put extra money on my Paratransit card.
DB did text me about going out around 6pm but turned him down this time as I did feel tired yesterday. Told him to have a good trip next week as it will be his wedding anniversary.
Not too much happening this morning, probably make egg and meat pie and get ready quickly as well. Put some coverup and bb cream on and ready to go.
Something with an egg will be on the way, prehaps a soft tortilla and an egg, I will see. Not sure about later.
I do hope everyone has a good day, hopefully comment section is fixed my mods. In pockets for everyone who needs me.
