betrayal, the sewing was immediately post-cortisone. i regretted working on a jigsaw puzzle yesterday. Transportation failure again last Monday. They called me yesterday and I have yet another appt scheduled on the fourth. Remember this guy is also my plastic surgeon and gave me a cortisone injection during my implant exchange back last spring.
Making hummus right now.

I went to bed early so I had a good sleep. Even though I usually wake up when I need to go out in the morning, slept pretty deeply. Was having a dream when the alarm went off and don't remember what was happening but that is quite alright.
Got a little laundry going and will put away stuff to bring today to the hospital since I am having Herceptin. I always bring a charger, as if will be gone long enough to need one. Also will bring extra wireless ear buds. Get those packed up now. 830 should have laundry in the dryer which means Tigger will have to go at least until it is done.
Going to have an egg sandwich or rice and eggs with cheese which might be better to have instead, more filling, hoping to have breakfast made and eaten by 930 am. I always get an anxious when having appointments, mostly due to going out so I do the 4 7 8 breathing to release it because once at the hospital, I feel fine. I will post if totally different. I do have pizza left so could chop it up in the magic bullet with eggs and bake them too.
Anyway I slice it, appointment is at 1100am but have already booked the Paratransit so it comes around 1030. Pretty rainy today so will not be walking outside, if ready early from the Herceptin, may walk around a bit and leave the 200pm pickup just as it is, I will see how I am feeling.

@raysal I went through this thing with low neutrophils and they lowered my dose to 400 well over a year ago, and I'm doing fine. My neutrophils still dip down, and I worry about an even lower dose being prescribed, but I have a superstition that I do better if I have my blood work in the afternoon. My onc says there's no scientific evidence for this, but it works for me.

UGH! Well, I am trying the name brand Claritin to see if it makes any difference. I had been taking generic. I have a heating pad on my lap and that helps. I did speak to my treatment team yesterday. If my WBC is high they will dose reduce the shot this cycle so we will see. I appreciate everyone posting suggestions and their experiences, it is so helpful!

I started hormone block therapy yesterday - surgery is pending until my results for genetics test come back. Once the report is sent to my oncologist we will discuss the surgery options for me. I am just grateful some treatment started for me.

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a good day. @livinglifenow Pam, Just wanted to update you. I saw Mo today. She said no changes for now but on October 31st I have another PET scheduled and then see her on 11/4. She said if that one showed more activity in my breast that she would either have me meet up with Radiologist or surgeon. She said Kisqali is working good on my bone lesions and that they are healing. Glad that’s out of the way. Hope you all have a good week and weekend!

Hey @pershing, welcome!! If you're willing to share, tell us what part of the world you're in.
You are definitely not alone in being scared and anxious leading up to starting chemo. 💜 I think it's actually such a normal human response to something that is NEW, scary, and that one has never experienced before. I keep reminding myself, "All of this is new." Do you have someone to go with you, at least for this first one?
Great to hear you're going to try the ice mittens and booties! That first infusion felt like a lot to coordinate to me, too. All we can do is the best we can in any given moment. Let that be enough.
My infusion center had crushed ice which they brought to me in a cup and I had my sister-in-law help feed them to me throughout the chemo drugs being infused to hopefully help cut down on mouth sores. I could sort of pick the cup up with the mittens on, but was pretty clumsy, lol. It continues to be humbling and challenging for me to ask for help in this, as I've always been very independent and live alone. I am grateful for the opportunity to practice. :)
