Shana girl, it has been 8 years since my original LCI and they did lumpectomy and Arimidex for 5 years. So it’s 8 years between. Is that soon? What is a liquid biopsy? Is that the genetic testing he did my last visit? I know I will become more familiar with all of this…..and thank you for the quick response. I’m a little nervous about tomorrow, and glad radiation helps the pain. Thank you everyone ❤️

oh thank you for getting back to me. I go for my first radiation consult tomorrow morning so hopefully we can get this ball rolling. Even pain pills don’t seem to help but I meditated and it has calmed down thank goodness. I had it yesterday and today. Hopefully it will stay manageable. Thank you for sharing your sternum story.

I am going to first radiation meeting tomorrow and hopefully will be starting radiation soon. This morning I woke up to a stabbing pain in my sternum which has been coming and going. Had it yesterday when I was at pain management appt. Has anyone ever had this sharp pain in their sternum and what do they do for that? Does radiation help? I am in so much pain medicine and this pain in my sternum scares me. It comes and goes. Thanks guys.❤️🙏 I guess my history not showing up with my name, so I am just diagnosed with stage 4 BC that has gone to my ribs, sacrum, spine and I have many pinched nerves in many places so they are going to do epidural in a few weeks. It’s been 8 years since originally getting breast cancer. I have to find out how to fill out profile properly, I apologize. I am also on Tamoxin.

I just learned about Beckie passing. So sorry to all her family and friends. She was an incredible person who was a light in this world. She will be greatly missed!

@threetree Thank you for taking the time to write all of this. I haven't had that specific conversation with a specialist surgeon but my oncologist agrees with what you said. I have been summoned to see my oncologist Friday morning probably to discuss changing treatment since I now have progression in both liver and bones. I have no idea what she will say.

Three tree, thanks for the info although it is discouraging to hear. Xeloda was my first treatment and after two months I was so dizzy it was discontinued. Pharmacy said it’s a side effect for 4% of patients. I’m currently on Doxil.

@mara51506 Sweet Girl So much you are facing and having to plan for. I know your SIL & DB will be a blessing for you standing by your side. You will be in my prayers today and because you are so much on my mind and in my heart I will light a candle for you when I come upstairs to my room tonight. This is my way of telling you that I will be in your pocket. I know how overwhelming it is to have so many appointments one after the other so close together and how they all connect with each test & follow Up and treatment. I remember how stressed I was during the summer for that reason. I tend not to cry easily, and just to one day at a time in my mind rather than allowing myself to feel the emotion of it all. Then if ‘m told something by the Dr. I break down and cry…I know for now you are holding everything in until you hear from your RO and Neurosurgeon what’s what and numbing yourself from feeling anything. The few days off from all of this will be a reprieve for you to rest your mind and body, so give into that…🩵😘

Hello! Today is actually the anniversary of my surgery in 2021. I had IDC and had the single mastectomy surgery. It's amazing how time flies. I still flinch at every little pain, twinge, etc. and wonder if it's something else. So far, so good. And that is all I feel I can ask for. I actually wanted to have both breasts removed, but since I didn't have any genetic abnormalities, they would only remove the one. I honestly would say do what you feel is best in your situation and what you feel your body needs. We are all so very diferent. Sending you big hugs.
