Re: So...whats for dinner?
Didn't eat much tonight. Yesterday we had a vet appointment for the dogs and today, Frankie had some intricate and painful, but minor surgery to remove a tumor on his eyelid.
He's home, but certainly not happy. I'm not sure if the whining/low howling is from the ketamine (it makes dogs act weird) anesthetic, or the gabapentin or extreme pain.
Re: Stage III Cancer Survivors ...Five + Years and Out.
I was diagnosed Stage IIIB in September 2009 and after infusion chemo, radiation and 5-1/2 years of aromasin, I am now Stafe IV matasticized to lung and bone as of July 2016. All I can say is if you are ER+ stay on the AIs for as long as possible and get a scan every year or two so you can catch it as early as possible if the big C decides once is not enough. I wish you peace and try not to worry too much but be cognizant that you must always be diligent.
Re: Stage III Cancer Survivors ...Five + Years and Out.
hello all
I hit the five year mark this month! I was so worried that I would not get to see my first two new grand-daughters grow up. Now they are 5 and we have one that is 3 and a boy coming in May. God is good! This site was invaluable when I was first diagnosed. Stay strong and believe! Losing is not an option! Happy New Year!🎉
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
No lasting side effects from chemo 2. We leave next Tuesday for Bangkok arriving Thursday (plane leaves Wednesday at 12:10 am). Then Friday we fly to Laos. I’m feeling fine. Real worry is luggage weight. My personal item weighs more than my suitcase with my liquids bag and medical supplies. And we’re only allowed 7 kilos or 15 lbs
Coming off of Arimidex
Hi all!
Soon I will be coming off of Arimidex after 10 years!
I'm nervous but hoping that maybe I will feel better.
My eyes are getting worse and my hair has thinned soooooo much. I can see my scalp on top. I’m hoping I will also have more energy! I’m wanting to know if anyone can answer these questions for me? Will my eyesight get better and will my hair grow back? Also will I have more energy?
TYIA! God bless all of you!
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
@wren44 I hope you have warmed up and are feeling better. My tumor markers are growing so I am trying to schedule my next scan to try to see what is going on. If progression means I need a change, I fear I may be out of oral medicine options and will need to switch to chemo. I am resisting but we shall see.
