Beautiful fall day day here, though windy. Love the sunshine. Went for a short walk, and now checking in seeing how everyone is doing. Happy to report all is well. My MSK Mo did a recent guardiant test, and discovered my tumor now has the MSI high gene protein, so they can treat it with immunotherapy now. He was so happy . Gives me more options now. So they added that to my plan, had the first Keytruda infusion Wednesday, and will stay on chemo CMF I believe. But first radiation which starts Monday 10 sessions. Will keep you posted, my plan is always changing lol.
My DS and his wife celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary and they called from Bryant Park where they were buying fried pickles and watching the ice skaters, after seeing a show called Drunk Dracula lol.. hilarious. I’m hanging out with DH reading and drinking dandelion tea. Happy Saturday to all !

Thrilled to here about the success of your hip replacement. I had the same procedure 6 years ago and it still works beautifully.
Love to read the details of your posts about everyday life. They remind me to look around and appreciate what I still have and can still do, despite this beast.

Your positive attitude in dealing with multiple issues on top of cancer is inspiring and I always feel better when I read your posts.
Thanks to everyone who was in my pockets for the meeting with my MO last Thursday to discuss scans. I have a very small met in the left 6th lateral rib which requires a single dose of radiation. Appointment with RO is Tuesday morning. I also have INVISIBLE SKULL METS??? in the parietal bone. Nuclear bone scan shows new increased tracer uptake, CTscan shows no mass or lesion. Both MO and RO would like to radiate these and keep me on Kisqali, but there is no visible target. Need an MRI of the brain/skull in hope that it will find the mets, but next opening is 11/29. I have been off Kisqali for 2 weeks while the gastroenterologist tries to get rid of diverticulitis with daily infusions of a strong antibiotic recommended by an infectious diseases specialist. I have a midline port in my right arm and it's very tolerable. Much better than trying to stick my tiny uncooperative veins for 14 straight days! Guess I will be on Faslodex only for at least another 2 weeks which makes me nervous.

Kitten update. In the last 2 weeks the two adoption fails were relocated to a new foster. Two of my male cats did not like Liam. They are now with a new foster and the appear to be thriving so I am happy for them. I hope they either have an adoption fail or find a good home.
There are so many kittens right now. My three other kitten fosters are growing. They were bottle fed so we have to ration food. They are all over eaters. Hopefully they will go back to the adoption center. They are now all 4 lbs and their little pot bellies are gone.
My two kittens are just that. Gizmo found the sink and Tuna is honoring the tin guard.

reading all the posts.. I have surgery friday and had to get someone else beside my friend to take me to it and drop me off, and pick me up .. i was anticipating spending the day with my friend and having an easier day... somehow, being dropped off, picked up and dropped off just doesn't make the day better... i have some good neighbors though and will let them know i'm home alone.. and i'm in senior apartments, have a dining room that is also a restaurant, so can call down if i get hungry.. still not the same though as getting a pizza and sharing it... and emotions all over the place... like getting hit with a hammer.. over and over..

Shana~I’ve had bone Mets four of them for what will be ten years in January. Luckily they stay dormant. I pray that continues. My mom will be gone two years in January also. I am still struggling with that , I just am so overwhelmed with missing her. Especially with Gabbie having cancer. I need her to talk to. I want my mother. No one else will do. Ever. It’s the worst feeling I’ve ever had. I miss her.

@shanagirl Even though your brother has been gone a few years, I know how you miss him. My brother has been gone two years new and I still miss him too. How is your pain? Are you any better?
@micmel It is good to see your post. I know you are in a difficult time. I pray for you and Gabby everyday. My own mother has been gone over ten years now. I never knew how much I really needed her until I was dxd. She died of ovarian cancer before I was dxd. I could really use her wisdom and hugs!
My tumor markers continue a slow climb and my onc has pushed up my scan date. I am a little worried this time…
I continue to read but don't post often. Hoping everyone had a safe Halloween and can settle into a warm place.

@norah2024 , @livinglifenow @eddiej thank you ladies for your input and well wishes! I will definitely know next Tuesday if having the surgery is what the doctor suggests. I’ll let you all know something after I see the surgeon. Thanks again❤️

Has anyone here had the Caris blood test? To look for mutations? My tumor marker CA 15-3 is going up so my oncologist is ordering it.

Had mastectomy on Tuesday. Surgery went well and I feel good. Tomorrow will be first day i will remove bandages to bathe and im nervous as to what my reaction will be when I see myself for the first time.
Re: CT and Lung Nodules
Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing OK today.
I just got my CT scan report in the patient portal. The overall impression reads "A few scattered pulmonary nodules, stable from prior exam. No evidence of disease progression within the chest." It also describes resolution of some nodules, "consistent with resolved atypical pneumonia," but notes 5mm and smaller nodules that remain. Whoever wrote the report did not make any specific recommendations. So this seems like overall good news, but I imagine there may be additional monitoring.
It's going to be a busy week: I have a mammogram on Tuesday, start radiation on Wednesday, and labs + a visit with my MO (who ordered the CT) on Thursday.
