Re: Planning surgery for November 2025? Join the waiting room for support.
Just joined. Bmx on 11/10. Diagnosed Oct 7, DCIS in Left breast and LCIS with microinvasion in Right breast. Today is my last day of work before medical leave. Ive been keeping busy but i have a feeling i’m goimg to wake up tomorrow and it’s all going to hit me. Very thankful to have this space as I go through this. Treatment at MSK and apparently it’s 7-10 days until path report post surgery. That’s going to be hard, ie to wait to hear if LN are positive, whether i need chemo etc.

Hi, I have my lumpectamy scheduled for 11/14 with sentinal node biopsy. I totally agree with the out of body experience. Its been an emotional roller coaster.
Re: Latissimus myocutaneous flap
Thank you for you responding to my question. I’m so unsure at this point to do anything else. I was very grateful I did not need any chemotherapy. The cancer was right up to the chest wall but had not broken through. Lymph nodes were clear. I had grade 2 DCIS with comedo necrosis.
The first cancer 15 years ago was grade 1 DCIS. Lumpectomy followed by 6 week’s radiation. No chemo.
I had complications with the right side and needed a second surgery. Infection and a hematoma.

Netflix did a documentary about him. I have watched it several times and also got his book. That man spoke to me. When he died, I cried like a baby. He was inspirational.
