MKestrel, love that photo - anytime one of those chunky bumblebees comes near me, I smile and thank them for being in my yard, and encourage them to get pollen all over! 😊
Goldens, happy anniversary, glad you had a nice dinner and in your pocket for the upcoming surgery.
Candy, I empathize with the kind of fatigue you have mentioned because I have it almost all the time as well. Does not matter how much I sleep or anything, I get tired while getting dressed at times so I do top half and bottom half, I sit while I run the hospital bath out of my sink. Laundry and dishes are broken up as well, breaking down boxes, 1 or two per day if a lot of orders. I need breaks during tasks all the time, all that matters is getting the stuff done you want. Speaking for myself, I just have to tell my brain to stop worrying about it now as that will not help me and the energy level is the same no matter how much I sleep or eat.
@shanagirl I live on loratadine lol so will consider that one thanks.
My PET scan was stable no new mets but the blazing crater in my liver is scaring me. I have been started on the lower dose of everolimus so hopefully it will help without causing more mouth sores.
Happy anniversary and rapid recovery wishes to @goldensrbest
@candy-678 I think being social is exhausting on a good day and cancer fatigue amplifies it even more! I will be doing something and then hit this wall where everything feels heavy and like malleemiss said slogging through mud (but that brown stuff isn't mud! 💩 💩 💩 💩 ) Also add the brain fog to it. I have to stop, but sleeping won't help.
A couple weeks ago I was shopping and had a massive hot flash, felt dizzy and almost fainted, had to sit for a long time. That was the afternoon after goserelin shot though.
@intolight I hope you feel better. Faslodex shots hurt for days and I don't miss them at all.
@candy-678 omg yes! That I my fatigue SameSame.it hits like a ton of bricks all at once, my mind fogs up and actually i feel dizzy. I also get anxious if someone talks too much or a house full of relatives stop over with wine & 🍕. Candy I are all hate feeling lik this but when I finally do get my quiet time to lay down it’s such a relief. Hanks. For sharing that‼️
@goldensrbest In your pocket for a good outcome with your knee surgery. I had both my knees done 5 year apart. I had such good outcomes. They get you up right away and physical therapy starts immediately. You have to be commmitted to it so your mobility comes back. I was doing. 3 mile walks with DH by the8th week after. Ha! Can’t do that anymore since bone Mets& treatment😳
@goldensrbest Happy belated anniversary. Praying for a successful knee surgery and recovery.
@irishlove My dermatologist also recommended ceraVe. We love it now. Great product.
My nurse hit something when I got my Faslodex shots yesterday. By the time I got home I could barely walk. It is only one leg affected, but wow! She was so sweet and took her time and was careful in her placement, but I guess it was just one of those things. Boy I hate these! I am somewhat better today but still sore. I will try to rest up, use heat therapy, etc., so that I can manage my MRI tomorrow. Thinking of all you lovely ladies with weddings and grandbabies coming… there is joy when we look for it.
