Irishlove - I’m so sorry you can’t get a break. I’ll scream it for you - IT’S NOT FAIR🤬🤬. I pray your covid symptoms will be mild. Try to rest as much as possible, keep hydrated and don’t forget to eat even though you’ll probably have no appetite. Hugs from afar dear sister.

Hey everyone I got a free gift from being in the hospital. COVID… Here's the kicker, Humana will no longer pay for paslovid. Found this out when DH went to pick RX up at pharmacy. Uhhh, never mind. I don't have a spare 1400 dollars laying around. So far symptoms are livable. I'm just weak from the hospital stay and now this. Tomorrow I'm gonna mess with the hospital. They left a message today wanting to discuss my financial responsibilities to the hospital and the limitations of my Humana. Thought I'd say something like " Hey Earl, some crazy lady wants donations for some hospital charity. Then DH will yell "tell them we gave at the office". Geez love how they leave a voice mail message that upsetting and I call them back twice to no avail. Maybe they should be paying me for gifting COVID. I know it came from there, because no one is sick here and I haven't been anywhere in weeks. grrr.

mara Glad your headed to the movies this week.Something to look forward to and of course the popcorn! I imagine someone who works there or a nice patron would be glad to help you. You can have your bag available as a backup plan.

Mel The bark box sounds adorable! When we rescued Buster, my friend sent a gift box from chewy. It was a campfire theme. It was adorable with all the treats and toys based on camping. Great idea to donate, so many animals need a good home.Theo has struck gold with your family and you have with him.

@mara51506 Yes my neighbor has an annual Pig roast. I’ve never seen the roasted pig and I don’t even know where they roast it. I think they do it underground somewhere then, apparently they slice the meat on the roast and it’s served in nice thin pieces in large serving trays. It’s so tender, juicy, and delicious roast pork. Everyone brings food and so there’s so much food and salads. They also barbecue hamburgers & hot dogs. Every year I bring 2 trays of spaghetti & white clam sauce.. they also serve pudding shots and Jell-O shots, lots of desserts, They have a band there too. Lots of little children running around with their big yellow Lab, “Logger”. It really is a fun event, but I’ve never seen the pig. 😂 they have it every July 4th weekend.
@irishlove I sure hope everything is getting better with your bowel issues. Colace and Ducolac helps me sometimes. Also I’ve really been taking my home made Keifer and Probiotic capsules and trying to eat foods that are natural Prebiotics. I’ve been reading a lot about gut health. So far. It’s helping me.
Everyone I’m so shaken by Shannon Doherty’s passing recently. I relate so much when I hear of anyone dying from Stage IV MBC. That fellow-feeling we all get when we lose another fellow mbc person here. I didn’t realize she posted here. If I had known I would have share comments with her. Did she post under her real name?

I can't imagine that any previously undecided voter would have been persuaded to vote for Trump based on anything that has happened recently.
As for the Republicans, they have lost their fricklng minds. If you ever see me wearing a mini-pad on my ear, please knock my head against the wall!
As for the Democrats, I don't care who they choose; but they do need to get their act together!

Not that we shouldn't care "because we won't be around", but it will really come down to how much young people value their freedoms.....especially young women. Democratic commercials need to pound that home.

Re: Starting Chemo May and June 2024 Support Thread
I’ve been slightly inactive on here lately. Life’s been too busy and I’m EXHAUSTED. My oldest daughter takes her horse to the fair every year so a whole week we are here…only a few days left 😴 The tiredness is the one thing that doesn’t seem to go away between chemo infusions. It’s hard to find a happy medium when I’m constantly having to be on the go because let’s face it…when your a mom to three kids it just isn’t an option to slow down!
On a happy note, my youngest does acting and her AHN Commercial just aired! If you want to see it 😊

I’m at 11 in August, and I’m still here, even though they totally screwed up, missed my diagnosis for six years, and I had no medication during that time. I’m almost grateful for that, though, because if I had been diagnosed correctly in 2013, Ibrance wasn’t approved yet. If I hadn’t been on Letrozole for two years starting in 2019, I wouldn’t have had Orserdu the last nine months because it wasn’t approved until January of 2023.
