Shanagirl- Oh my gosh YES!!!! The fatigue is my worst side effect, that and the on and off nausea, but the fatigue is the worst. I am a morning person, always have been, so I get up early and feel like I am on a time limit of what I want to get done around the house. I know that once the fatigue hits, I am worthless. And that is usually around 1-1:30pm. I HAVE to nap almost every day- even for a "cat" nap of 30-45minutes. Just to recharge the batteries. Sometimes I have trouble thinking, like a fog is descending over my brain. Trouble concentrating or coming up with words.
Edited to say- Mae was posting the same time as me. She mentioned having more fatigue until they lowered her dose of chemo. I have been on Lynparza for almost 3 years, with a dose reduction after the first 3 months, so I have been on the same dose for 2 1/2 years. The fatigue has been constant those 2 1/2 years. I have found that some days are less fatigued, and others more fatigued, with no rhyme or reason. Totally unpredictable when will be a "good" day and when will be a bad one. But I nap almost every day.
Today I showered, folded some wash fed the dogs, did some general straightening up. I just felt so tired I felt I wanted to give in to the feeling, lay down in on the bed with a blanket, started reading, and I just can’t keep my eyes open., I’m so frustrated that I feel like this all the time, I did a little painting yesterday but every day is always exhausting. Ladies, Is it normal to feel this way with MBC treatment? Please post your own experiences and feelings about this subject. I’m so tired it’s even tough focusing on typing.🥱😴🩵I’m so tired of being so tired all the time.
Mel, it looks like he poses. If not you’re an awesome photographer. My cat was trying to get a photo of a third grader. I have one where he was caught by surprise
Hope you ladies are doing well. Had a fun day today with Theo. His bark box came today and he loves it when this box comes in the mail. He gets all excited and try’s to help me open the box for his toys. He got a toy called baby bark ribs and a dumpster fire , with little rodents to rescue from two holes. It’s absolutely adorable. The main toy was a fire hydrant that you hook up to a hose as it sprays water all over. DH and I both agree that theos too little and won’t really enjoy being wet. So we are going to donate it to the local Spca. They said they would use it in the fenced yard for all the dogs. She said they’d love it. So DH is going tomorrow to drop it off. Theo has like 30 toys or more , so it will make me happy to know dogs can use it. That dont live in nice air conditioned homes with toys galore. It was always my dream to strike it rich and be like Caesar Milan and have my own property with dog lodges and good homes for dogs until they can be housed in a forever home. I love dogs. Always have. I like cats too I’m just allergic. And so is DH. Hope everyone sleeps well tonight and have a good Sunday!
irish ugh so very sorry that you are now dealing with covid! What a bunch of crap that they won’t pay for Paxlovid! I know it’s hard not to be aggravated at all this but for now focus on your healing. Sending healing hugs your way🤗
Tanya Sorry your PET experience was awful. It’s very sad how much of it is like McDonald’s drive thru. When I was working in CT it was all about how many patients we could scan in an hour. I hated to see the changes over the years and having barely anytime for patient interaction. Hope your next experience is better.
Finally a beautiful low humidity day! Hope everyone has a peaceful day☀️☮️
I got lucky…I went to the hospital for labs and happened by the infusion office and they took me. So I am waiting for my Zometa happily since it means I won't have to get up at 6 tomorrow morning and go in. I still don't feel strong, but am better as long as I use a wheelchair. I tried to walk it but couldn't. The nausea has passed and I am only slightly dizzy...I'll take it!
Hi Buster! Apparently Mariah loves the water too! She goes to doggy day camp on Mondays and we are told that she’s the only one that goes in the pool🤣. We like the place because they also focus on fun training.
Mel - if I won the lottery, I would also have a place for homeless pooches. One can certainly dream….nice of you to share the toys with other dogs.
Shana - I love me a pig roast. The meat is so tender - yum. That party sounds like a blast.
