Last night I went to wonderful 100 birthday party. The birthday girl spared no expense, including being able to help numerous relatives with air fare. She still lives in her own large house and looks like she stepped out of a glamor magazine. Plays a wonderful hand of bridge but did have to give up golf at age 95 and sell her Colorado property because of the altitude. She danced with her grands but did admit that she needed to rest afterwards.
There was a table mixup and I was seated with family members. They were so welcoming and we traded stores about their "Aunt Jane", a great aunt of most of them. Jane's great grandchildren were also at the table. I know I had much more fun with them than I would have at my original assigned table with people I see regularly. I don't think I've laughed so much in a long time.
I needed that too. Several deaths in the Briarwood community, just in Feb. None were really unexpected but too many nevertheless.
I think I'd take cinnamon too. We still have some of my mother's spices and she went into memory care 20 years ago! I don't know why we pretend they are adding flavor to our food.

This morning dh reversed the little switch on the thermostat from cool to heat. A front came through during the night and cooled off our weather for a few days. I'll have to protect my little collection of succulents tomorrow night. It's supposed to get down to high 20's.
Yesterday I walked about 10 am to avoid walking in heat and humidity. Today I'm planning to make soup for dinner. LOL.

@runor When feeling lazy about underthings, I either just stick them in a mesh bag OR hand wash in the bathroom sink with cold water, both with detergent and then the softener cycle. Option two is take my salad spinner for under things, wash in cold water, drain, do rinse cycle and drain water again, stick them in the spinner in one of the portable washers to spin. Might wash up bra and undies at same time.
I had a decent night sleep, just getting started on my own chores. Laundry, make bed, clear sink. Working on one of my burner steel parts, got baked on stuff from a spill I did not notice. Will be using my scrubber head, just pull it off and run it around, maybe give a nice soak in hot water first.
Planning to air fry leftovers from yesterday's lentil and ramen, might add an egg to the mix. I have an egg cooker that can make an egg softer and then dump into. If I choose to, I may just make a hashbrown with some lentils, heat them both up and make an egg in a mini griddle. EDIT eggs are going in my egg cooker, steams them, added butter and garlic butter, 1 tsp each. Once egg is done, grab my leftovers and dump in the air fryer, had to put air fryer on floor to make room but not a problem to do that. Once egg done, put on stove, put the air fryer back on, had the dropsies and lost stuff but since floor is clean,spooned stuff back in the air fryer. The leftovers are the ramen, hotdog and lentil mix back in with couple of hash browns. Tonight, am thinking of the veggie stir fry stuff, heat in microwave first then toss all in the air fryer
EDIT The meal I just finished was some leftovers from yesterday with ingrdients mentioned just above. Egg turned out nice, I did that up first but added to the leftovers and two hashbrowns broken up. I did spill the leftovers on my floor. I scooped it up off the kitchen floor, I did dump it back in the air fryer because floor was just cleaned and I do not use chemicals but diluted vinegar so not worried. It really was delicious. Soft boiled egg was nice too.
I do hope all have a good day, I tell you I am looking forward to dry side walks, can go to Walmart on my own when only need a couple things, book a ride about an hour and a half or two hours, we'll see. For now, just did costly shopping 40 dollars but do not always need a costly shop, maybe just a dozen eggs. I do not hit up bro because I gave him a break about the groceries. Easy to have delivered or will get myself.

Rischaller. Same hear. It has been snowing for a while. I think things are finally cooling down and it is starting to lay. I have continued with my normal actives. Seems boring so I don't think to post. I did learn in January that my shortness of breath with exercise was not med related but a lung issue. I have been fighting this for 3 years since diagnosis. The extreme cold finally forced a referral to a pulmonologist. I couldn't breath in the cold. My right lung that had my mets became painfull when I went outside. Ct scans weren't showing anything new. Now I am working on reconditioning from the breathing issue. No more struggling to breath when doing cardio.

@rlschaller and @brutersmom - Stay safe and warm. I hope you are both able to enjoy watching the storm from your homes, where you can cozy in and watch a relatively rare event. I love experiencing crazy weather from indoor safe places with comfort food, blankets, good music, and good company, etc. Have a great Sunday!

Happy Sunday to all,
We are under a blizzard warning today through tomorrow, so perhaps not going out for a walk. Sleeting now as I type. As you all know, I’m a YouTube excersise lover, QiGong and short HIIT practices. I’ve started doing some lower body work again, for stamina and balance .. side leg lifts, hamstring lifts, seated squats, and toe heal calve raises, a few times a day and it’s been marvelous. Very energizing. My OT person recommended a vibration plate which she enjoys, so I ordered an inexpensive one.. I’ll keep you posted on how it feels. Supposed to be good for circulation and resilience strength building we’ll see. She finds it relaxing, so I’m looking forward to trying it. ❤️ Rhonda

My little Stricker is back for another snow visit. If I would already have two many cats I would keep this guy. Fortunately he is being adopted next weekend. The family already has one cat but they rescue requires all cats be spayed and neutered. Their current cat is being done this week so hopefully he will finally have a permanent home. He is such a sweety. He has been in a large cage at the store. He seems to have gotten chubby. Hopefully running around my with Tuna and Gizmo during the day will help him trim down before he leaves.
