denny123 I am feeling better now. I ate and took my morning meds. Maybe I was dehydrated or low on blood sugar. It seems to have passed. Thanks for responding. Steady as she goes, I guess. New symptoms always shake me up.

@irishlove Hoping the the variations in SUV are close enough not to be any sign that anything is brewing🤞Do we ever really feel total peace at this stage regardless of reports?? I wish it was a bit longer we were all able to get TRUE relief and a break from the mental stress of worry. Unfortunately it's very hard to be consistent with feeling relief. I think we get small periods like a day or a week or maybe a bit longer. So I guess we celebrate our victories and do the best we can each day!❤️

Carole, I totally understand the "dragging" feeling and the upending of schedules. Hope your DH's surgery was uneventful.
Maggie, off the top of my head, a great asian version could be mushrooms, tofu and teriyaki or soy or peanut sauce; add rice if you wish. Shrimp instead of tofu or even ground pork.
Yesterday was an awful meal day. BIL wanted to "shop the deli" for dinner. I was horrified. No vegetable. All icky breaded or deep fried. UGH. I ended up eating roasted red peppers for breakfast just to get a veg in.
Tonight, I made a crustless quiche. He wants to go to a Pho place tomorrow. I weep for humanity….I am so happy to cook (and purchase) the food….he's leaving saturday so I am trying to go with the flow. He has kidney disease and refuses to listen to me. I"m a (former) registered dietitian. Go figure.
At least the guys are getting some stuff cleaned out of the garage. DH did great.

Good Morning @rlschaller(Rhonda) and all my lady friends on this thread, Yes we are also on the Blizzard “monster Storm Warning. Yesterday DH & I went to the wild bird store and picked up some millet, cracked corn and mixed seed with black oil sunflower seeds for all the birds 🐦.and he also nailed the Mourning Dove nesting box up underneath our Front porch over- hang for the nesting pair who visit to nest. There are also red cardinals living somewhere in our yard and they love the black oil sunflower seeds. I hope they all ate a lot to give them the energy and warmth to weather this storm inside the big Holly bush tree in our front yard yard.It’s so tall that the electric wires and cables are being reached by it. We wanted to take some of it down but it’s really on the property line of our next door neighbor who rents the house so it’s really up to her land lord. He used to own the property where our house was built on 5 yrs ago but he sold it to the the contractor who built it. And now I’m thinking we don’t want to reach out to him and offer to pay to take it town because this holly bushe tree as tall as the cable wires is home and shelter to so many birds inside the tree.
So here at the Jersey Shore we are expecting 50 mph winds with the snow , Tomorrow I’m supposed to go to my follow up visit with my onc, and my XGeva & Fasoldex injections and most likely wont go because the road will probably not be cleared enough tomorrow, We did go the day after the last snowstorm on the turnpike all the way up. The roads were salted and bone dry so we had a clear path no traffic up to the Cancer Center last month and got in and out of the hospital right away because their was no wait……but if it’s still snowing we won’t take the drive up.
I’m wishing you all warmth, a warm blanket and cozy fleece sweat outfits, and some warm comfy food to eat to everyone while you wait this storm out. I’ll be roasting a pork loin mashed potatoes and buttered carrots today. I love you all my sista’s and brothers in breast cancer mets. 🩵🥰

Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Twofer Tuesday! Well, the gin Nor'Easter turned out to be a bit of bust anywhere except right along the coast, which doesn't bother me at all. I'm far enough inland that I didn't even really get much wind, certainly not the gale force that was predicted. Fine by me!
Carole--that must be a beautiful area! Gotta love the springtime temp swings, don't ya?
Wally--I didn't know you lived in Isreal! Do you remember much about the area?
Teka--I live cherry pie, too! I'm a little surprised that cherry beats out blueberry, but that may be because I live in blueberry country and cherry pie filling is almost always out of a can here.
Jazzy--you really have been busy and productive! Good for you!
Wren--a place that truly masters strawberry rhubarb pie is a treasure!
mOmmy--Why on God's green Earth would your Mom tell people your cancer is back like that??? Does she have some dementia or is she just crazy! Personally, I think you should tell her that since your cancer is back you can't take care of her after her cataract surgery. Please do not go take care of her. She is a grown woman with a (presumably) equally grown husband, she can manage her own care. Or get someone else, or hire someone to come it. Cudos to your husband for helping you say "no." Then mix up some of these and send them to her:

• Diet Coke
• 1 ounce vodka
• 2 ounces strong coffee

My son lives in Oregon. On a trip back to Seattle we randomly found a cafe in a small town with wonderful pies. They have mastered strawberry rhubarb with the exact tart to sweet ratio. All their pies are excellent but that one is outstanding. Usually they are too sweet. Our trips are now planned around a stop there for pie.

Good morning ladies!
It's hard to believe we are already to the end of February. Time flies when you are having fun (but also when you are not?)
We had really high winds last week and with that some cold moved in again. Those winds are now over on the east coast and with the blizzard going on. I have people all up and down the east coast and here there is very deep now already (13 or more inches, some places up to 30). I hope if you are in the throes of this storm that you are warm and safe and don't have to go anywhere for a bit.
I think the Olympics were a total success and loved watching the skiing, big air jumping, and of course the skating. Alysa was my favorite and brought such joy to her performances. Some of the skaters who had problems and didn't metal did beautifully in the gala skate on Saturday. They all seemed to support one another and were out there doing their very best.
Been busy with my new project at work and also on home improvement updates. I am ahead of Teka on spring cleaning and like to do mine in the early part of 2026 before the outside work beckons me to go there. Living room done, kitchen almost done, this weekend we start on the master bedroom. Last week I got new outdoor lighting installed and it looks great. Chugging away on my to do list….
As part of the extremes in weather in the US, we are going up to the low to mid 70s this week. That is 20 plus degrees warmer than it usually is this time of the year. We need moisture badly still; snow drought persists all out west except for CA.
