Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
canarycat, she is our 5th Dalmatian. Our last, Lita, lived to be 14 and the one before her, Kimber, made 15 years and 2 months. We had her for the full 15 years and 1 week. She was so large by 7 weeks, her mom weaned her and her breeder, a vet, let her go early.
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
Thanks, harley07. I am looking forward to getting away.

Betrayal, Regan looks beautiful and comfortable too!
Harley, I figured there was some rule or requirement for the pool to be removed vs filled in.
Sandy, it just never ends.
Reader, my sympathies to your dental work. I picked up the referral yesterday, and made an appointment for 9/10 with the oral surgeon group. I have a regular cleaning on 9/8. It seems as I age it’s fix one tooth issue to wait for the next one to appear.
Taco, a quiet holiday weekend is a good holiday weekend.
I’m up early and dressed immediately. The power washing team should be here before 10. Originally said between 9-10, but I wanted to be up and functional. The owners daughter is starting school this morning and they’re all waiting for the bus.
We’re getting the house, the fence and the retaining wall cleaned. Our cars are parked next door in the firehouse lot. And the firehouse guys were nice enough to put orange cones next to the house so no one parks there blocking the power washing truck. I hope this goes smoothly.
After they leave I think I’ll head to the town landfill to get rid of the wood. It’s supposed to be beautiful out today, but by 8 PM or later the rains will move in. I can live with that - sunny day and water the lawn when it’s dark.
Speaking of dark, we had daylight in Ireland until near 9. Right now my sunset here is at 7:42 PM. I miss the day light! I checked Dublin for today it said 8:06, so maybe it just felt like 9. HA!

It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.
Re: So...whats for dinner?
LOL, Nance. I had a chunk of beef roast languishing in the freezer and got it out last night to thaw. I plan to cook it in the slow cooker for beef stew or beef soup. We're having the weather for either stew or soup. 42 degrees, according to my laptop.
Intolight, good buys at the farmers market. Our MN corn has been cheap, as low as $5 a dozen.
DH wanted to make a meal last night using the container of home-grown cherry tomatoes. He saw a recipe making pasta sauce of the tomatoes with garlic and olive oil. It was good with linguine and sprinkled with fresh basil and fresh grated parm.
My women's golf league was cancelled today because of the cold. We may go to the casino in Walker. We usually go once during the summer.
Re: Verzenio
I'll weigh in on the positive side. I've been on Verzenio and anastrozole for just over 5 years. The full dose in the beginning was rough (especiallythe first 2-3 mos), but I stuck it out because I was too scared not to. It kicked my liver mets to the curb in 7½ mos. I asked for a dose reduction because of the diarrhea, got bonus relief (some) from the extreme fatigue, and my hair got a little thicker. I made several cross- country drives for house hunting. Imodium and Gas-X are my close friends. I don't have the D as often now, but it's still a (manageable) part of my life. I can't believe it's worked this long, and I don't want it to stop.
