Belated happy birthday, Jackie. At 78, I know the feeling. In fact, had breakfast this morning with the CEO of the food bank that I used to be the president of the board of directors, and I realized again what a lift off my shoulders resigning was. I love Jesse and know he is totally committed to his work and his ministry, but way too much fell on me rather than staff they need and don't have.
Enjoyed my breakfast though and did some mall browsing while Ella was skating. Walked more than usual with minimal knee pain.
Hope Betrayal is doing okay with her travels. Sounded wonderful but also exhausting.
Has anyone heard from Chris? Sandy?

Good Monday morning to all. Already 76 here. A bit warmer as well as some humidity as the air conditioner has been coming back on. It is typical for this time of year. Just hope the humidity settles some.
Today is my total cat box cleaning day. Everything gets it, the boxes, inside and out, as well as the areas around. We got new boxes a while back and I'm really liking them. They are actual metal on the bottom and really it is difficult for anything to really 'stick' on the floor portion of the box. There are two sections to the cover of the box so that you only have to remove the smaller top piece to clean inside daily which makes them very handy. Each box also came with a handy scoop holder and scoop and the holder fits nicely on the side of the box — so more having to drag the scoop with me. As well there is a step-riser that sits in front of the box. The purpose is to catch what is on the feet when leaving the box. I will say it helps, but any cat owner knows that you can find litter far away from the box.
Being sure now that everyone enjoyed hearing about cat elimination boxes we will move on. Fall starting was very apparent this morning. The propane delivery guy showed up to fill for the upcoming winter season. He will be here likely at least two more times to add as we use gas through the cold months. They only fill to about 85 %. Sure had me thinking Fall was most definitely here though. Recent rains did green us up a bit, but you can tell the grass is tired and getting ready to rest. A few leaves have fallen and some trees are already turning a bit. The leaves are droopy now and haven't had their uplifted leaves for some time. Just all the little things that say get ready —its coming.
Nothing else special today. Taking one of the cats to the Vet again. Remi is an allergy cat and has had issues since the day she came to stay here. She was out of a feral group from my friend Loretta's farm. Don't know why she seemed to have 'tamed' herself and would (rather than run) seem to seek out interactions with humans. Just a lesson in how smart animals can be. So, one day I decided to bring her home and it has been vet visits ever since.

Wally, Good news that your DH’s jaw is holding steady. I still use chlorhexidine whenever there is any hint of a problem in my mouth. I’m sorry your leash law ignoring neighbor has responded with the bullhorn; hopefully his voice will give out soon.
Dinner tonight was grilled sun dried tomato / basil chicken breast, corn on the cob and potato salad.

Got home to the dog-idiots screaming at us because I complained that he broke the leash-law-again. He actually bought a bullhorn and is screaming at us, since he can't come here because I filed a no-trespass request.
Seattle wasn't as horrible a trip as I expected. Some construction but nothing bad. DH's oral exam went well. Still needs 3x-day chlorhexidine rinse, but that is a small price to pay.

We had crispy baked chicken thighs and leftover cheesy potatoes from the dinner on Mary's deck on Saturday night.
Tonight we may go to Clancy's.
This morning it's very quiet in the campground. Mary and Lymon departed yesterday and will be flying out of Fargo tomorrow to FL, where they have a home. By the end of next weekend, all of the "seasonals" will be gone for the winter.

bookworm. I am sorry to hear that. I can’t remember had they biopsy your lung before and it was negative? I am glad they got it out.
my Dr does tumor marker and they been slowly rising and now it’s tied with the tied highest it has been and that’s when I still had cancer in my body. Do you guys to timer marker. My marker are still in normal range though and my Sinatra came back negative.

The generic is definitely less expensive; it probably does as good a job as the brand name.

Congratulations to all those with stable scans - it is always a relief to get the good news.
@mara51506, your never-ending ingenuity with meals always intrigues me. You try meals I and combinations I would never have thought of before I came to this thread.

Candy - I think as MBC patients we can’t help but think about progression. When is the other shoe going to drop? It’s bound to happen, we just aren’t privy to when. Every 3 months when I get my scans, I’m always hopeful for results that are stable, yet part of me is preparing for the not good result - progression. We see progression happen here and in social media. But I also believe that there is an underlying strength that this damn disease gives each and every one of us. So that if and when progression happens, we move forward with grace, integrity and a bit of belligerence. I have seen that over and over here from our dear sisters. It is truly a gift to be able to come here and know that we will be understood, regardless of our different coping mechanisms. Who would have thought that this is where we would be after our initial MBC dx? You are all my family that I choose and I know we are never alone❤️
