Re: I am grateful
I am grateful for a beautiful day today. I am grateful that I could see my son finishing one of UTMB races - few years ago this young man was told by doctors that he would never run again. Today he finished 29km (18 miles) trail run with nearly 1700 m (5500 feet) elevation gain.
i am grateful for this thread that reminded me that life is a beautiful gift.
May we all have a blessed day today.
Edited to add distance in miles and elevation in feet:)
Re: I am grateful
Three things I am grateful for today : I am grateful for the sunshine coming in through my window this morning, lovely day. For my cats furry face purring as I meditate . For the sound of my son’s voice laughing. Wishing all a joyful day of small moments of gratitude.
Re: I say YES. YOU say NO....Numero Tre! Enjoy!

Re: So...whats for dinner?
Last night was BLTs. The bread was toasted bread that we buy here but can't find at home. A whole grain bread, Dakota style. We have slowed down on devouring tomatoes just as Mary's three tomato plants have kicked into gear after a slow start, thanks to cool spring weather.
Tonight's dinner is supposed to be beef roast sandwiches over on Mary's deck. She had small beef roasts left in her freezer and is contributing them to the meal.
Re: So...whats for dinner?
Carole I sincerely hope all is well with your family and property. Francine is due to send us some much needed rain though not the massive amounts hitting the south. Minus I'm glad you dodged a bullet
Last night was breakfast for dinner, specifically "Spanish " omelets (cheese, onions, peppers, salsa). This is not uncommon when we have a large/late lunch, which is what happened yesterday.
Tonight's dinner was at a favorite local Italian joint. I had linguine con pesce (my usual) and DH had manicotti. It was all delicious with enough leftovers for lunch.
Maggie - as soon as I saw the word "cockaigne" I knew it was a Joy of Cooking recipe lol
Special - yikes!
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
Jackie - Happy Birthday 🎊🎊
Cindy - sounds like a perfect day in the pool. We have mid 80’s here this weekend so I may be heading out to the pool as well.
Petite - awesome news that there is no cancer!
Final chemo is done! Time to return to ‘normal’ life.
Have a great weekend!
