Re: Ribociclib/Kisqali with Letrozole - Any one on this combo?
There is a large contingent of women who are prescribed Kisqali with letrozole, and another contingent who are prescribed Kisqali with Faslodex. I am in the second group and I don't understand the MO's reasoning for choosing one or the other. If your MO switches you, there is a wealth of information on the Faslodex Girl's thread as to how to make the injections easier.
You are in that chaotic place between diagnosis and treatment plan. I am so sorry for what you're experiencing right now, but it will settle down and we are all here for you as you go through this.

@AJ My walks are not very fast either because my dog has to smell every flower, but I'm trying to go up more hills now because that gets my heart rate up. Cooper Hawk babies!

Seeq - what a bummer about your ankle but you are one smart cookie to have trip insurance! Those trips can always be rescheduled after you heal. My guess is you will need some kind of PT?
Chicagoan - my first joint replacement was my right hip. First couple days are rough but it is a much easier recovery than knee replacement. Also agree the anterior approach is easier on the patient. Glad the meds are helping with the pain.
Irishlove - I’m so sorry you are feeling lonely. It hurts when we are not validated by family. We’re all here for you. We’re the family you choose❤️ even it’s due to disease. But that makes our connection even stronger.

So I decided on a quesadilla vibe with garlic spread on both tortillas, couple spoonfuls of beans and some shredded cheese, heated it up, when finished cooking, leaked a bit out of the sides but that was fine. Ate it all with a knife and fork and it was quite good. Good quesadilla maker for 11 bucks from Amazon.

AJ One of the things I have seen is High intensity interval training is the best form. Any type if worknout is good. I do weights for bone strength but I need to do more interva training. In the past when I did it, it was 30 seconds on 30 seconds rest on the bike. Everything else was 20 or 15. Right before my mets diagnosis ininjured my knee and had to stop. I would like to get back to it but these meds really zap my energy.

I saw an article today saying that exercise slows cancer cell growth. Went swimming yesterday, the last weekend that the outdoor pool is open. Darn! So after I saw the article today I went out and took a two mile walk. I don’t walk very fast . Need to work on that. It’s just that the neighborhood is so pretty with the fall flowers and birds. There’s a Coopers Hawk nest across the street and the babies have been flying all around. So cool to see!

Mary -quitting smoking was the hardest thing I ever did - bar none. And I'm 81 this year. I quit (the last time) on 7/11/07. Hopefully for the last time but I still miss it regularly. Funny - I always said if I got a life threatening disease I would start again, but it didn't even occur to me when I was diagnosed with the first breast cancer in 2011.
I've been told since that doctors don't like to do any surgery if you're smoking. Apparently it slows the healing.

Bungee corded my trash bins and my feeders are empty. The bear hasnt made another visit yet! Being extremely careful when I take my dog out. Always on a leash!
I got good at digging for my acestry back before my older sister passed in 2010. Her eyesight was failing and there as nothing they could do for it, so I became her assistant during my down time between my classes in college for my Associates. She had been having trouble with finding information on our moms side and I through some sleuthing found what we were looking for.

Minus, it was pretty crazy. We've only seen bear once since we've been here and that was last fall when we were going down to our future home site. It crossed in front of us about a good quarter of a mile ahead. But that is in a rural setting. Hoping if it comes back I can get a picture. I think it was after the apples that are starting to fall from my neighbors tree behind us.

@SeeQ great scan results! I get the trip insurance too. Sorry about your ankle. Sounds like major surgery. Let the healing be complete and you and your heart of a 40year old will set to cruising many times in the future.
@chicagoan hopefully the hip replacement is a great idea for you. Thanks @eleanora for sharing your positive experience. That’s so helpful when considering a big surgery like that.

@mara51506 maybe the paratransit will be able to settle without the strike. I hate when jobs sound like they forgot they’re dealing with humans.
