It’s confirmed bone mets to femur, 1 small spot about 1cm and a bigger area 8.2cm which is a mix of sclerotic & malignant lesion, hence it becomes more complicated as radiation might cause long term damage to the non cancerous part of the femur.
Oncologist recommended hip replacement surgery for a “tumour reset” and also to send the tumour for biopsy & next generation BRCA / ESRI sequencing. Will be seeing the orthopaedic surgeon tomorrow, then decide by end of this week. Had a Denosumab injection as well though not sure about the oral therapy until after the biopsy since I’ll not be continuing with Letrozole.
A lot to take in but at least I know the treatment options.

What a pool! I hope to visit it someday. My hip still hurts-I have an MRI on Wednesday. For some reason, lifting weights doesn't hurt so I've been doing that a few times/week. Walking is very painful so I only do that if I need to. Waiting to see what the MRI says b/c I'm worried I might injure it more.

Wow you guys it’s just a huge amount of daily turnover to catch up on. I don’t know what I would do without this group of dear women here. From what I’ve read through I’ve noticed some things I had not been quite aware of. Ha !! that’s probably because I’ve been so sedated these days.
@irishlove , without getting too personal, I do really get the loneliness you are experiencing . I totally relate to those things you mentioned. Lately I feel like the identified cancer patient with my extended family.. Sometimes I think their lack of whatever , is their way of accepting the situation without me one day and are just busy in their own lives as young adults. I also feel like a grandparent who was always 1unable to enjoy them as a healthy vigorous Mimi. Ahhh @irishlove , Family stuff is always complicated and not without. Some kind of drama. Right now I am in the car driving up to a follow-up visit with my my pulmonologist. ….Again we are staying all night at the Marriott, compliments of my DS who has points and our stay is free. Tomorrow is my Radio Frequency Ablation on the cervical spine 8 facet vertebrae. My Neurologist from the Spine Brain Ctr up there will do the whole procedure while I am sedated at 7 am tomorrow morning. So I will check in tomorrow sometime after I get home and sleep off the sedation. Love you all🥰🩵🌷

@irishlove - Oh I am so sorry about how you are feeling. I too get extremely lonely and have big family issues, but like you say, they are personal, and unlike you, I have not had the courage to talk about them. Please know that I am thinking of you and in your pocket through all of this. I have been truly amazed at what you do accomplish, given your multiple health issues. I could never be out there gardening like that, and taking care of all that outdoors (plants and animals) like you do, although I would love it. Know that we are always here for you and care very much! Hugs.

@seeq Great scans for sure, I am so sorry about your fall that broke your ankle and cancelled the cruise plans. In your pocket for speedy healing. Bubble wrap could be the way to go. 🙂 I am hoping to get the treadmill back soon, apparently they use it so we will see if there is any resistance, if so, will have a Paratransit trip booked to purchase another after I save up money toward it. They would handle delivery and set up. Many treadmills on Amazon but that requires me to get it out of the box. I do not want to argue about the other one.
@chicagoan I am sorry about the hip pain but hopeful that if it is replaced, feels as good as others have mentioned.
Nothing too much on the go, I had a mystery stank on laundry yesterday, found out it was my fault, did not keep up with clearing filters in the one and that was causing the stank. I am also going to use the odour blaster oxi powder. I use 1/4 tsp as very tiny amounts of the other stuff clear it up nice and leave fresh. I am washing the stuff that still had some stank. Does not bother me any to have extra laundry to do. I have enough machines. Glad I am not scouring Amazon for that stuff anymore.
Nothing else on the go for me today, rainy out, do some walking on the spot stuff, quick steps, both feet lifted. I could also bring a chair out if want to lift legs higher but that would be later, will see about that.
Not sure what I want to make, no frozen pasta left so could just take some of the KD noodles, 1/4 cup or a ramen, add beans and queso possibly. I enjoy the walmart queso bowl and I realize that I do not need to buy it but can make an at home approximately. Just take some canned chicken and add other stuff and add actual queso. Starting to feel hungry thinking about it. Need some eggs as well, could add to the KD whilst boiling and whisk it around. Add chopped beans and cheese with garlic put in as well, sounds like a busy meal but a good meal.
Adding to yesterday's post that I forgot to post. I did have beans, cheese, garlic and egg heated together with the noodles. I did not care for the egg made with noodles. Better to make eggs in the mini grill chop up with cheese. Can add some peppers that I keep in freezer. I think today will look that way for me.
I did sleep well, waiting on cat food from Amazon, some bits of laundry and that is about that.
I do hope today is going well for people and I am in pocket for all.

@AJ - Lincoln Park? I so remember that pool from long, long ago. Had a first couple of swim lessons there when I was about 6. I thought I'd heard something many years ago though, about how they were going to have to close it down? I could be wrong, but hope it's still there. It's a real local landmark sort of thing. Glad to know people are still enjoying it. I used to just love that whole park. I lived in an apartment complex a few miles south of there in the 1950's and groups of mothers there would organize trips to the park for some of us. My mother didn't drive, and I was always a "tag along", but sure remember loving that place. Thanks for letting me know.
