Laughing. I just took a look at the soles of my summer shoes and threw them out. That wear pattern is typical of me.

A sure sign of the seasons changing - Carole is back in LA and Cindy is heading to FL. Happy to hear Carole is safely back home. Cindy - hope you get your ‘to do’ list done with minimal stress before heading to Florida.
Chris - it’s great you have voice to text on your computer! Your post came through perfectly and we’ re happy to hear your ‘voice’ again. This should give your thumb time to rest while allowing you to communicate.
Betrayal - your fall decorations are beautiful. Sounds like a wonderful and yummy visit to Lancaster. How’s packing coming along for your trip?
Canarycat - hoping all goes well with the endometrial biopsy. I had the same issue two years ago and it turned out to be benign polyps. Wishing you a benign result as well.
Petite - glad to hear you are enjoying your cabin.
Wren - wishing you no to minimal side effects with the new drug.
I expect Sandy is deep into moving back into her home. I think her HK was coming for a visit so I hope that can wrap things up.
Teka - thank you for the wonderful welcome to October.
Seems that many of us are losing height as we age. At one point I was 5’9”. Now I’m 5’7.3”. Oncologists are very precise with their measuring. And yes, I’ll take that extra 0.3” as it makes my BMI slightly better. I like to joke that my height rather than my weight is the issue.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Lovely porch decorations. I like the variety of pumpkins. The critters are in for a treat.
Petite, or Tiny, how nice that you're enjoying your cabin and exploring the region.
Cindy, our neighbors Mary and Lyman in MN have a screen room on their deck that has a stout frame that stays up year round. They remove the cloth curtains and the panels on the roof when they leave for the winter. It works great for them since they're up early in the morning, smoking. It also has netting but they don't use it. I think it cost around $2000 when they bought it four years ago. It has been a great buy for them. Other folks have screen rooms on the deck, too, but not as big. The frames stay up year-round.
Good post, Chris. Now we can hear from you.
I thought I was having a rare sleepless night last night, but my watch pegged me at 8 hours sleep overall and 40 minutes of deep sleep. I must have been dreaming I was awake. Strange… A problem on my mind was finding a handy man to help dh with replacing the food disposal in the sink. I may have come up with the answer, a nephew who could use the money.
I worked up my courage and stepped on the wicked bathroom scale this morning. It gave me very wicked feedback on weight gain. Sigh…
Happy Sunday.
Re: HER2 Positive-anyone 10 years out?
Brooklyn, so sorry you are facing this again, though glad you are finding the treatment bearable. My first diagnosis was much like yours so I was wondering. What chemo did you receive then and what are you receiving now?
Re: Stage 1 , Grade 3,
Sherry,
Not sure how you found this thread, it's a really old one. I'm sorry you have to join the group no one wants to be a part of. At this point you really need more information before decisions like chemo, radiation, ect.
In my case I had a lumpectomy. A test called the Oncotype test was done on the tumor which helped with the decision for me on chemo. You will want to find out of the tumor is ER/PR+ this helps on the decisions you will need to make as well.

Heartburn is a listed possible SE of anastrazole. Taking it with food and plenty of water as well as following a low acid diet might help. If your body does not adjust I wouldn’t rule out taking another drug to counter the acid reflux (advice from someone who almost didn’t survive an upper GI bleed.)

The greatest use of a life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.
Re: Cats, cats, cats
The rest of the story. Thursday I got a request from my daughter to go pick up two 8 week old kitten at the pet store because there were socialization issues. In the mean time, my husband is greeted by one of my daughters cats with a swollen foot. Our only option was an urgent care vet. We needed to reach our daughter. His foot was absessed they cleaned it and bandage. While my husband is dealing with this I am picking up 2 kitten. One appears under the weather. I notice she has a pot belly I found out today they missed there second dose if parasite meds. My best guess is roundworm. I treated her this morning here is hoping. The rescue has been notified and we are treating for parasites first. She is still active and eating. Things are finally settling down to a dull roar. Of course my daughter also returned today. I will keep the kittens until they go back to the store. I still need to get pictures of Jack and Chrissy. They are so cute.
