Re: how about drinking?
Good Morning,Loungettes! Happy Saturday! I’m going to see the mother today, she's ordered some haddock off a friend's boat and we're going to go pick it up and then take it home and package and freeze it. It comes in 20 pound lots, Mom will want me to take half because her freezer will be too full otherwise. That lasts me a looong time, even as much as I love good haddock! The heat and humidity have come back, the puppers are lying about not moving around a lot this ayem. Their usual ayem wrestle session was pretty short. It was sprinkling rain at the time, but that doesn't usually interfere with pounce and wrestle time.
Karen--it seems like you have been away for quite a while, but I bet the time is passing much faster for you. I'm glad you're having such a good time.
Mommy--there always seems to be that one job that has to be done that isn't liked at all. It will feel good to get it over with, I'm sure. At least it's a small space, but sometimes small spaces can be really challenging to work in! I bet you will be excited to get back to your new home!
A funner Bloody Mary recipe:
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
Good morning. Down here we are watching the tropics. No matter what it does, there will be a lot of rain.
Anyone here from Sandy?
Re: So...whats for dinner?
Sorry for being MIA. Got a surprise call that DH's youngest brother (80 YO) plans to fly in to Seattle and drive up to see us. We will love seeing him but I know the drill…I'll be doing the brunt of the cleaning/pickup and then cooking. Small price to pay to see family but it stresses me out, LOL.
DH is having his scan on Monday, so that is unnerving.
I've had hit or miss good meals….I've made some tofu meals, the goat meals, nachos and tonight, some sort of Indian meal.
Re: Time to replace implants
I have silicone implants, and I plan to stick with that for life. It's just a more natural feel. My plastic surgeon prefers them, too.
Re: I say YES. YOU say NO....Numero Tre! Enjoy!
You know, I've been thinking a lot about "Black"jobs. I've had a number of "Black" jobs over the years, and have actually quite enjoyed them.
In my twenties I was the Budget Director for a small chain of hospitals. Obviously a "Black" job. Then I went into advertising and became an Account Executive. Yep, you guessed it: another "Black" job. Finally, I managed to break in as a television writer. Since a great number of Emmys have gone to writers like Shonda Rhimes, I have to conclude that's also a "Black" job.
All in all I think I enjoyed my "Black " jobs far more than my "White" jobs of warehouse worker (as a teenager) and waitress (in college) But that's just me.

So, does Kamala Harris have a cat?
Despite J.D. Vance's offensive remarks, it seems Kamala Harris does not have a cat — or any pets, for that matter. But don't let that fool you: Kamala is a passionate advocate for animal welfare! Over the years, she has helped pass a range of pro-animal legislation.
Kamala has worked to crack down on puppy mills, ensuring dogs in commercial breeding facilities get better treatment. She's also fought to prevent animal cruelty and strengthen penalties for those who abuse animals.
On top of that, Kamala has backed laws to protect wildlife and their habitats, including cracking down on illegal wildlife trafficking. And she's even supported efforts to improve conditions for farm animals and push for more humane agricultural practices.
Plus, on Aug. 26, 2019, Kamala took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared four cute photos of dogs in her Senate office.
"Dogs are always welcome in my Senate office, and our team is better for it," she wrote. "A very happy International Dog Day to these four-legged friends who have made my office a whole lot brighter the past couple of years in the Senate."
