It’s out. There was a big ice blockage where the water comes into the device. No water could get into the hole to make ice, that’s why it was spraying around. I borrowed the 1/4” socket wrench. It’s empty and drying in the sun.
After it’s dry, I’ll reinstall it, and wait at least 24 hours for it to be cold enough to try and make ice. Woo hoo!

Praise be, finally my digestion has started to settle down, I did take between 6 and 8 loperamide a day, nothing else was hitting it. I am glad it was not illness as I certainly have not taken it easy with food. I had the queso bowl tonight and put sour cream and onion dry seasoning and a spoonful of actual sour cream. Yummy, later had some peanut butter and ate it with a spoon.
@cookie54 Yes, the staples will come out next week on wednesday and yes, back to the wigs. As chance had it, my upstairs neighbour is a nurse at the same hospital so they gave me the staple remover tool and she said call her to remove them.

@chicagoan Thank you. I did one round of chemo and it was not good (when is it ever?) I was planning on going for more and sticking it out knowing several ladies here did fine, but I feel like I am making things worse. Today is the first day I actually feel like I can do something and it has been a week. Will my body adjust any? That's one question I have for the oncologist today. I want her help in dx the symptoms.

@threetree You summarize my sentiments exactly. Welcome home Mara, and many hugs to everyone struggling today. Anxious to meet with MO this afternoon and decide on whether to navigate through chemo which would only buy me struggle time, or go on hospice and have more QOL for a short time. So many moving parts… Mara, you conquer the struggle with dignity.

@mara51506 Sounds like your falling back in to a nice routine. Glad you feel well enough to cook too. Countdown for staples being removed so you can get back to some “normalcy” wigs included.

@micmel - Oh Mel, hugs right back and than you so much for the kind words. You are so spot on about what a struggle this is, and I really relate to the way you have described it with the costs, sometimes "jerk doctors", our need to fight our way through the medical system, etc. All so very true, and so exhausting and demoralizing. Hope you are doing reasonably well these days and that Gabby is doing better and better everyday 💙!

Well, ordered my Walmart food, got a banana, yogurt coming, couple of frozen pastas coming and a chocolate bar and also eggs.
Planning on a burrito with a hashbrown possibly. I do know where the rice is now. Once all that is done, clean dishes and put laundry into spinner. After lunch and a bit later, looking to make a yogurt, apple sauce, banana smoothie type think
I did text SIL and she told me where it was so that is good.
Well dropped bottle of famotidine and the pills spilled all over the place so what I did was order the brand name pepcid AC to replace pill being taken with the steroids as well.
