One more thing I want to share with you…..my hemo/onco doctor stated that there is relatively new info now that keeping iron levels above 100 is important. So anytime I am below 100 she orders another infusion. Maybe there is a study you could take to your onco to show them to advocate for infusion….just a thought.

@livinglifenow Nice to hear from you, Pam, and it's really inspiring that you directed a play. What fun. I'm an outdoorsy type, so I've been getting my steps in. The weather has been gorgeous.

A couple things I wanted to say related to your posts…….my doctor who put me on hormone therapy told me if you have a uterus….you MUST go on progestrone (the sleep aid). In fact, my new primary told me that she tells her pts to take progestrone while they are sitting on the bed because it really does act so fast. LOL. It has really helped me sleep. Magnesium is a blessing too…really helps people relax and sleep. ( Glysinate form of magnesium won't make you have to use the restroom)
Another thing I wanted to share related to iron….. I too do not absorb iron well. I get iron infusions….. my MO does those as well! It is possible your MO may do that. My MO is a hemo/onco doctor. So maybe not all MO's do this. But thought I would mention this to you. Iron infusions have seemingly helped my iron level to stay good. My dad who has microscopic colitis also gets iron infusions and his levels are now starting to stay good too. Once your level goes down you have another infusion….

Scans tomorrow. Life has been quiet, hence not posting here much. That's probably my own issue, I think I need to have something "important" to say.
I do believe taking care of plants, reading great books, drawing, going for walks and petting random dogs IS important though! My life is important! I just said that out loud here in my house, and I rather like the sound of that.
Love to you all, the emotional and physical struggles with this illness feel overwhelming sometimes. ♥️

I too read every day, or multiple times a day sometimes, but I don't feel I have much to contribute.
I am just living my life. As boring as it is. I scan again in November- 4 months from the last scan. In between scans I am still taking Lynparza pills twice a day. I nap practically every day- at least for 30 minutes, but up to 1 hour. I don't do too much, as I don't work and do not have many friends or family activities.
But I do enjoy reading what you all are doing. I wish Mel's Living Room was real and we could hang out there.

@threetree I agree, I miss the chatter here. I look everyday but feel as though I don't have anything to contribute. I am in sort of a holding pattern waiting to see if this medicine (Orserdu) will hold up. My tumor markers are slowly edging up a few points at a time but there are only mild SEs and my scans look stable so I am praying I can get a lot more time on it. I am seven months into it now. My DH is having prostate problems but there is no cancer so we are thankful. In the meantime I am enjoying a mild fall slowly preparing for the next season.
