@eleanora - I agree that age and especially the accumulation of drugs really adds to all of this. I quit doing PT too at around the time I got shingles, and now I'm realizing it was a bigger help than I knew. The straw that broke the camel's back here for me was the soreness that I've now added from lying on those scan tables last Friday. I am more sore than ever now, and have not recovered, whereas it usually only takes a couple of days. Just this morning I started doing some of the PT exercises (just a couple and very slowly) and I think if I continue it will help. I'm going to try and call the PT sometime maybe later this week and see about starting back up. I think you're right about the gift of time and grace being needed, but it's so much easier said than done. Thank you.

The weather is starting to cool a little, especially at night. Inara is willing to tolerate the boys for the sake of a cozy lap. 😆

I had my genetics testing done and apparently my breast cancer is not genetic. That is good news for my kids but of course we should all be diligent.

Tuna became friends with a foster cat while I was at the shore. They are from different litters but the same age. He does not do well at adoption fairs. He like to play and run. When he is caged up he withdraws. He does not like to be held except on his terms. The rescue decided he should be a barn cat. We felt he would not survive so we took him in. His name is Gizmo. He loves play time, and treats. He an Tuna play a lot but they don't sleep together. He really is a fun cat. He just needs to learn some manners.

Last night was just hamburgers. The thunderstorms were quite strong in the afternoon and the power was "off-on-repeat" several times, so it was "nothing fancy that couldn't withstand uneven cooking temperatures. This time the outages were likely lightening hitting the power lines and the power line protection systems working correctly, so the power was only out 1-2 seconds at a time.
The thunderstorms also had me "grumbling" as the storms prevented me from running (well, these days, its more of a slow jog) 5-6 miles. 45 years ago I could run 10 (or more) miles at 6 minutes per mile pace and carry on a conversation. Now I'm about 1/2 that fast and…no talking. I'm not sure what happened. :-)
I'm hoping the storms stay away for tonight.
Except for two mornings, it's been in the middle 50F degree range in the mornings and in the mid to upper 80F degrees during the afternoon. Those two unusual mornings, it was around 40F degrees. I'm hoping the freezing weather stays away for another few weeks so we can continue harvesting from the Roma tomato plants. The amount we get per harvest isn't quite enough to preserve, so we are eating them like candy, making salads with lots of tomatoes and Sharon is using them for all manner of sauces.

@rlschaller Oh Rhonda, that is such a shame that the Navelbine has not worked out for you. You've had so many treatment changes! I'm so sorry that you are being bothered by those nasty skin mets. They are a trial, aren't they. We hope for a clinical study that suits your case.
Kudos that you are able to continue working in the midst of all this 'stuff'. Cancer fatigue is a bear. It seems though that when you least feel like getting up and moving, that's when it is helpful to do so.
My skin mets too are not by any means going away. Sometimes they are a bit sore or itchy, though not a lot, mercifully.
The drug in the clinical trial is another antibody-drug conjugate, called disitamab vedotin. I haven't heard any more about the trial, though I do see my MO Monday and hope that she has further information on it then. It still wasn't open, last she said. The Trodelvy is hardly knocking it out of the park, so maybe she will be inclined to get me into the study sooner rather than later, if possible.
I'm feeling pretty good on the Trodelvy, other than the fatigue. The wonders of all the pre-meds and support meds.

I attended 2 wakes tonight. More than I’d care to attend but I felt I had to.
We leave tomorrow for DC, sweet 16 bday present to my grandniece. Weather looks HOT on Friday and ok the rest of the time.
I picked up an antibiotic and oral wash for before my tooth gets pulled next week in Thursday. I’ll start on Monday after we return.
I know we avoid political comments. But I’m dumbfounded from Disney firing Jimmy Kimmel for saying the truth - that the shooter of CK was probably a Republican. I’ve seen a post of shooter and his family in their trump tee shirts. So Jimmy was fired for saying the truth? Our First Amendment rights are being trashed front and center. The head of the FCC, a trump appointee?
