Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
We made it to DC. Long day but worth it.
There was a small group of protesters outside the White House. Few National Guard, mostly at the Jefferson Memorial. We walked over the 10k steps, over 4.6 miles. My feet are tired
We’re here until Sunday night. Plenty more to see.

You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.
Re: CT and Lung Nodules
kk,
So good to hear about your CT. I am still waiting for my resolves and it hasn’t been out in my patient portal. That sucks. I see my Dr in a week so I should see it then. Am I the only one who doesn’t get this in there portal.

Re: CT and Lung Nodules
Marge, It’s too bad you have to wait for your doctor’s appointment to get your CT results. My pulmo usually has something to add but It’s nice to know what the radiologist reported in advance. I hope you get good news.
Yesterday I had an appointment with a neurologist where ambient listening technology was used. AI is used to transcribe and analyze what is said to come up with notes. The appointment included a complete neurological exam with tons of measurements which were recorded in tables. One relevant factor wasn’t mentioned but compared to all the cut and paste notes that usually show up in after visit summaries it was much more accurate. I also got a portal message with a short visit summary, plan, differential diagnoses and next steps. I was skeptical about the use of AI but this seems to be an improvement.
Re: how about drinking?
It's been raining part of every day. It started raining when we were walking after dinner but only for a couple minutes, so we got our walk in. Rained lots last night. Nice weather during the day.
My daughter has picked out her wedding dress. It's the one she like a couple weeks ago and is gorgeous. She will be a beautiful bride. She sent pictures to her 2 BFF who live in America and I'm sure to her roommate who is getting 5 weeks before her. We were talking wedding stuff in general, not specific to her wedding. I asked her if we were supposed to get her a wedding present. The sweetie said no, that we were paying for the wedding (along with her fiance's parents) and that is their wedding present. She needs to taking him shopping to get his suit. My dress has shipped - now I need to find flats. I have a new pair of heals but I'm not sure I want to wear them.
WE are over staffed at work so I won't have a school for a while. I just got assigned two more evaluation cases. I had my beginning of the year conversation today. All good.
I need to stop snacking at night - need to shed at least 5# and really 10#. I have skirts that I bought when my weight was done and they don't fit now.
They have to find an apartment and a few other things. But everything is moving along on track. The wedding is in 3 months and 2 weeks - not that I'm counting.
Kim - hope you can get your mother's id tomorrow.
Sandy - what a nightmare with the house. Hope everything is settled before long.
Re: So...whats for dinner?
Last nights dinner was flat bread pizzas made with some flat bread picked up at Trader Joe's. They were really good. Toppings were things from the fridge - green pepper, deli ham, some Italian cheese and the remains of a jar of Victorias marinara. The package had two large breads so I froze one for another meal. I also made a small salad.
Tonight is a grilled marinated pork tenderloin with unknown vegetables. Probably broccoli.
Hope everyone feeling poorly is doing better today.
Re: So...whats for dinner?
Wally, I hope that cough settles down so you can get some sleep.
Rhonda, Bruschetta with a red wine and blackberry brandy cocktail sounds both elegant and delicious.
Eric, I recently had some medical provider ask if I could run if a bear were chasing me. My answer was I would climb a tree instead.
Dinner tonight was chicken and onions in sour cream sauce with mashed potatoes.
