Re: CALLING ALL ARTISTS- Lets make an art gallery!
A while back, I was gifted a lovely little floor loom. A friend of mine said, "So, you're making me a rug, right?" She's getting married this weekend, so choosing a gift was easy. The rags are silk I brought back with me from Korea. My cat approves.
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
cundyny, most likely an actinic keratosis lesion. Quite common as we age and they can be unsightly. Good luck to SO with colonoscopy. I am glad to have finally timed out on having them. In a 2 year period, I had to do appreciate 5 times and it gets old fast.
petite1, I like how you are preparing your new cabin for more seasonal usage. I have nothing to offer as far as winterizing it, but agree with cindyny about the water heater. Can your neighbors offer any suggestions?
Taco, glad you are getting back to golf.
Carole, you certainly have been ambitious with gardening. I bet it looks great.
Canaryca t, fingers crossed that these procedures find nothing of concern.
harley07, DH has signed us up for a cruise ofbtge Norwegian fjords and the Arctic circle in 2027. It will be in the fall so hoping we can see the Northern lights.
Carlene, the jewelry manager, on our Brazil cruise has transferred to this ship. We became friends so it is good to seen her again.
We arrived early in San Juan tonight. We are not going ashore until tomorrow though. I will look at some of the shops/items you mentioned cindy. We did buy coffee in Guatemala and Costa Rica as gifts, but we'll see if we can find what you recommended.
Listening to classical musical played by a husband and wife. She plays.the.piano and he the cello. On the first leg of our cruise, it was 2 women from Ukraine. One played the piano and the other a violin. So far both groups have been spectacular. First set tonight was French composers and this second set is movie theme songs.
Hope everyone had a great day..Waving "hi" to everyone.
Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
Good morning. I have enjoyed reading the 87 posts that I have missed. I am heading back to NC to get a mini split heating and air conditioning. I need the heading. My cabin stays cool. I need to get the crawl space cleaned up and new insulation. I have someone coming the same day as the heating & a/c. I want to get a couple of estimates on that. I would like to get it done before it gets any cooler. Speaking of cooler. I need some advice on "Winterizing" I know I am supposed to turn the water off and drain the hot water heater, but what about if I am coming back in a couple of weeks? The water heater is in a utility room without heat or air. The washer and dryer are out there as well. I think the previous owner had a heat lamp out there. (it is still out there, but I haven't turned it on). So how can I safely leave the house and not come back to a broken pipe? I am 90% a Florida girl. LOL
Carole, I would love to have thick hair. I am envious
Betrayal, I love the pictures. It does take me down memory lane. My late DH and I had many wonderful trips to Central America and the Caribbean.
Harley07 - I don't remember what I was going to comment on, probably the protests… Sine DH died I avoid politics. I hadn't heard of a pro-king rally. I didn't know there was one??? Wow. I guess I stay in a void.
Cindy, good luck on your trip South. Maybe you can give me some clues on "Winterizing"
