Re: Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?
We have a WalMart in the north of town, and the store of many names in the south part of town. The first name of memory I cannot remember, they had built it but retired when no family members were interested in the business an more. Then Festival bought it, then Moulters bought it, now Hansen's bought it. All local organizations. Moulter's bought up a local pharmacy and moved it but somehow couldn't make a go of it. A very popular Mexican restaurant that had long ago outgrown its previous location recently moved into a previously unused part of the building, so I hope they will stay.
ETA First name was Burnstad's.

Cindy, your WD will probably stay open in FL. I read that WD was concentrating its business in FL and GA.
Re: Awaiting results for stage 4 mets to liver and lung
@rink23 I am so sorry for your ordeal. As @tougholdcrow said, comprehensive testing is essential for determining the best treatment plan. Once you know the results and have the plan in place, it is one day at a time and one foot in front of the other. And this amazing forum is here to share experiences and offer advice and… a shoulder to cry on.
I am wishing you strength.
Re: Thin Slices of Joy
I randomly felt inspired to do some small thing to help a stranger. Found randomnotesproject.com and left a few random notes yesterday. It gave me such joy to think of someone finding a note and having it lift them up in some small way.
Re: Any new info on ATM VUS?
Hi @marshmella, we're sorry for the worries that have led you here. If you have a mutation with a "variant of uncertain significance" (VUS), it will be best to consult with your genetic counselor who can discuss your personal risk and any next steps.
A "VUS" indicates that there is a noted change in your ATM gene, but we don't yet know if that change is linked with a higher risk for cancer. According to Memorial Sloan-Kettering, most ATM-VUS are eventually found to be normal changes that won't affect your health, but your genetic counselor would be the one most informed of any newest findings.
