I missed one. My onco said that it is very important to not miss any Herceptin infusions; they must go every three weeks without exception.

@threetree Oh I understand your apprehension about starting X. I remember feeling the same way plus it felt so strange to me to take chemo unmonitored. I remember telling my hubby not to go anywhere in case I had a reaction etc but of course I was fine! I am wrapping you in a big strong hug for the start tomorrow.❣️
@xsuzx Sounds like you have been a bit busy lately so I'm glad to hear you're getting 2 weeks off! We all need that mental brake to recharge. I don't take anything specific to give me energy but I know there are some ladies that use herbal teas etc. I hope you can relax and recharge on your break. It sounds like you have the meaning of "in your pocket" already as we are all by each other's side or in their pocket for support always!
@mara51506 Did they tell you to expect numbness post surgery? Should you be concerned or report it ??

@threetree I was on Xeloda for a year and it was pretty tolerable. Of course there are exceptions, but you should be fine.
I am still feeling fair post second chemo. I have next week off. Last week it was day three that hit me hardest so we shall see what the next few days bring or perhaps my oncologist' adjustments worked. Finally started taking down my Christmas decorations. I work about 10 minutes then sit a while. My SIL will help me finish Saturday. I even cooked dinner tonight! I call that a win.
Going flat or breast reconstruction
Scheduled to have bilateral mastectomy next month. I am very much undecided if I want to have reconstructive surgery or not and go flat. If I go flat, I am afraid I might get depressed as my body will be very different. With plastic surgery, I’ve read of women having so much pain and needing to do more procedures afterwards. I don’t want to deal with pain anymore and possible procedures in the future. For those women who have decided, how were you able to make your decision?

@xsuzx - @chicagoan makes a good point about whether the biopsy is going to be to bone proper or bone marrow. My understanding is that there is a big difference. I too had a bone biopsy in my spine (vertebral bone) and the procedure went pretty much exactly as @chicagoan has described. My further understanding is that a bone marrow biopsy is a whole 'nother thing, and is a major procedure that can be quite painful. It would be real important first to distinguish just which procedure they are actually talking about.

It’s out. There was a big ice blockage where the water comes into the device. No water could get into the hole to make ice, that’s why it was spraying around. I borrowed the 1/4” socket wrench. It’s empty and drying in the sun.
After it’s dry, I’ll reinstall it, and wait at least 24 hours for it to be cold enough to try and make ice. Woo hoo!

Praise be, finally my digestion has started to settle down, I did take between 6 and 8 loperamide a day, nothing else was hitting it. I am glad it was not illness as I certainly have not taken it easy with food. I had the queso bowl tonight and put sour cream and onion dry seasoning and a spoonful of actual sour cream. Yummy, later had some peanut butter and ate it with a spoon.
@cookie54 Yes, the staples will come out next week on wednesday and yes, back to the wigs. As chance had it, my upstairs neighbour is a nurse at the same hospital so they gave me the staple remover tool and she said call her to remove them.

@chicagoan Thank you. I did one round of chemo and it was not good (when is it ever?) I was planning on going for more and sticking it out knowing several ladies here did fine, but I feel like I am making things worse. Today is the first day I actually feel like I can do something and it has been a week. Will my body adjust any? That's one question I have for the oncologist today. I want her help in dx the symptoms.
