Betrayal, hope you made it home safe & sound and got some time to decompress before unpacking. But for the weather hiccups necessitating detours and your homeward-bound flight delay, sounds (and looks!) like it was a great vacation.
Found an old pair of Bob's glasses (aviators). Maybe they can tide him over. Those lighted drugstore readers (+2.50) are for reading menus in dimly lit restaurants.
My helper came over early this morning (he has a key) and did a marvelous job tidying up!

Roxy loves to pull open drawers, throw the contents on the floor and snuggle up inside. In our Lincolnwood rental (where the chests & dressers were the collapsible cardboard & cloth dorm-room kind) she actually pulled Bob's emptied sock drawer closed behind her; we panicked when we couldn't find her until we heard loud purring coming from the dresser! Our dressers here at our house are solid oak, but she is insanely resourceful (has figured out how to work doorknobs!) despite her diminutive size, and I fully expect her to figure out how to pull open my dresser drawers!

Well, now that it is November, I do see some snow in the forecast coming for us. Not crazy amounts and still have temps that would melt it down, time for me to take some inventory on winter wear and ice for getting down steps. I do have cleats I can wear and have the spikes or a heartier crampon tip attachment as well. No need to spend time outside in the snow either. Other thing I used to do as well is just leave spikes on my one pair of shoes and change them over to another pair of shoes. Will see how much I need to do and how much salt and melter is needed. I will see. Walmart is inexpensive for different melters.
I did cancel the instantcart membership. The fees are higher than Walmart when getting an order. When I got the stuff from Costco, it was 40 dollars but by the time they added the fees, not for delivery, just their own, it was 20.00 more, made no sense to me. Rotisserie chicken does taste good but could get Walmart 4 tubes of lean ground chicken for the same price. Beef is a little more expensive, 3 tubes of lean ground beef, each package 10.00. If I decide I must have m&ms, just buy smaller packages and add to the jar that I have. Feel I wasted money with costco. Would be cheaper to book Paratransit to various stores than order off instacart. I also am not patient with getting the refrigerated chicken put aside from bones. I will eat as much as I feel like and may get rid of the other, I will see. One thing I do love is the peanut butter and honey nut cheerios together, eat it by spoon usually.
I did manage to wrestle some rotisserie chicken, added to frozen stir fry, added an egg and put a generous amount of plant butter and garlic spread. I did microwave for 6 mins, if it needs more flavours but it should be good. Once cleaned up from the dishes used and sink clean, can work on some of the chicken left over. It was a good meal, liked the butter and garlic spread that melted into the stirfry, chicken was good though will skip it next time.
Nothing else on the agenda for me today so that is good as well. Already cancelled instantcart and will stick with Walmart and do the ground chicken going forward.
I do hope all have a good rest of day and I am in pockets for all.

Misty's favorite napping place is DR'S clothes basket. She also likes to steal to his socks and scatter them around.

Shanagirl. Mets in that area sound painfull. I had scans 2 weeks before the pain hit and everything was negative. The pain is getting better just achy in the morning. All this is just very strange and sudden. I to am 73. I haven't had the flu since I worked in the hospital. Don't ever want it again. This is so the first time I felt bad after a flu shot. I felt like my immune system went into over drive. My allergies went crazy and I reacted to the fulvestrant shot and bandaid. At least I hope that is all that happened.

Three-tree. Guillain-Barre Syndrome is pretty serious. The people I know that had it lost mobility and strength. Not much was said about pain in the back. One person was bed bound for at least a month and then with rehab he did eventually recover. As for the ache for me I don't think is cancer spreading. I had scans 2 weeks before. The nurse did say that inflamation from the medication would take about 2 weeks or longer and continue to improve. Lack of improvement would be a concern.

@shanagirl - Hello! I think you have a good point about the weather. It had been in my range of possibilities, but somehow this has seemed worse than with the bad weather, although maybe not? Maybe I just forgot since last year, how bad it can get. We have had a lot of rain and lower temperatures, and there's more rain coming in tonight. About your always having gotten another strain of flu after getting the shot, I didn't get shots for ever (I'll be 73 in December), because I hadn't had the flu since I was probably in my early 30's, I'd always read about how they were only like 25-30% effective, and then I'd hear about people's sore arms and other side effects, and I just figured I'd take my chances, and never really did get the flu on any kind of regular basis. I decided to get my first one a couple of years ago, because I had become stage 4, and figured it was probably wise at that point. That one made me a little sore for a couple of days, but nothing else. I didn't get one last year, and then I got this year's. It had seemed to only make me a little tired for a day or two, until I started reading about the Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and then so much of what I'd been experiencing, that I didn't associate with the flu shot, seemed to fit the bill. Now I'm not so sure again, as it looks like all the people who get that wind up in the hospital for close to a month! I'm back to thinking it could be the fulvestrant, the weather, or heaven forbid, progression in my spine. Good luck with your shots tomorrow - I get mine on Wednesday and am actually a bit scared after what happened the last time. Re your Xgeva, I also get Zometa (similar) and next month will make 2 years of treatments, so I will get my last infusion for awhile, and be able to take a break, and I am so glad! I don't know if it will be for 6 mos or a year, I'll have to see what he says, but that seemed to be the ball park he was talking about. (I also like turmeric and ginger.)
