Carole, I haven’t had boiled peanuts since I lived in AL. They are really good. When we lived in AR I took the kids to George Washington Carver’s birthplace in Diamond Grove, MO. That place had persimmon trees everywhere.
Wally, I have always made my own burgers from ground beef. The frozen ones I’ve seen have other ingredients added. Are the Costco ones 100% beef?
Dinner tonight was chicken and butternut squash in tomato/pumpkin sauce on boiled potatoes.

@mara51506 Well if those animals get through 7 layers of wrap they deserve the chicken lol. I hope your sil is doing ok and you all can enjoy dinner at the Swiss Chalet. Either way I'm glad you have a plan to treat yourself to a nice dinner.

Was a beautiful day and I tried to spend most of the day outside before colder weather hits. Plenty to do with all the leaves falling now, everything look so golden. Sunday we have a tasting at the wedding venue so will be nice to sample everything. Busy days ahead with appointments and scans, I like to get it done before the holidays.Thinking of all here, continued prayers for strength and healing.

Thanks for kind thoughts cookie and Mara. I don't have any flowers inside but I have pretty fall colors outside that I have been watching. The garden froze but I got a few Tabasco peppers and made some Tabasco sauce. This was my first experiment so that was cool. It is tasty.

@dutchgirl11 I just had to pop in to check on you and your G.I. issues and share something that changed my life!! In fact, I was on this message board back in September looking for others who had experienced CA 27-29 marker increases as I just had after 6 months of huge declines. Anyway, I was scrolling through Verzenio messages and saw someone's "CHANGED MY LIFE!" in all caps and stopped to read (I cannot find that thread now to thank her!). She mentioned the same diarrhea and stomach pains and cramps I had been having since I started Verz in Feb. and she tried skipping breakfast and it worked! I tried it and CURE!!!! Of course it makes sense that eating in the morning around the 8 AM dose could be affecting things. So now I have been over two months with no anti-diarrhea meds or Gas-X or cramps or all-day stomach ache. Which has me thinking that if my CA 27-29 had not increased in September I never would have gone skimming through the Verzenio messages and would still be having G.I. problems that were just so depressing and upsetting. My markers went up in October, also, but November was down 20 pts, confirming my onco's feeling that it is "just noise." I just have a banana when I get up for taking my multivitamin and then a 20g protein bar snack at 10 AM, regular lunch and dinner - both 20g protein, also - no problems. I hope that helpful tip provider reads this and hears my big thank you!!! So helpful!! And I'm very grateful for the sharing of experiences and caring here.

Finished unpacking suitcase today and replacing jewelry taken on trip in proper storage areas. Organized gifts for family members that were purchased for Christmas in one bag and will place it in storage closet. Still have to take ironing upstairs to place it in the closets since I keep trip clothing in DD's old room. I think it is harder to unpack than packing, but find I don't like either much.
The bag I use for a carryon is one I purchased in Lahaina, Hawaii nearly 25 years ago and between trips it holds the zippered pouches I use for medications, my toiletries bag and hair care pouch, which means I can grab it when I need to pack again. I didn't restock it because we won't travel again until May 2026.
Today I was trying to handle mail items that required my attention for either donations to charity and a medical bill that was rejected by Medicare because of the wrong coding. I have talked to both Medicare and IBC to see what I need to do and now need to deal with the office.
I am not crazy about any of the SW paint chips I picked up yesterday. I want to get this room painted because it served as a satellite storage area during the restoration and there was some minor damage to the paint. Now that the rug is at the cleaners, it is time to get it done. I needed to get the unpacking done before I can tackle unloading the china closet and drawers. It holds my china, Lenox serving pieces, and crystal as well as a large Hummel Apple Tree Girl given to me by my DS. It will also give me a chance to evaluate what I need to keep and what can be donated.
I did make the meat loaf, scalloped potatoes, and oven roasted asparagus for dinner tonight. It was delicious. We have enough left over for another meal and maybe a meat loaf sandwich, too.
Chris, thanks for the update on your left hand. Fingers crossed surgery will not be necessary. How's Tippy?

If I keep my left hand in a splint ost of the time, do my exercises, and take a break from my bike with left-handcontrols, I am hoping it will settle down and I will avoid surgery. Otherwise, we will make a decision in early January.
I wrote a reply earlier, but got distracted and didn't post it.
My SNAP benefits will probably be deposited on the 14th.
Shortly after I left yesterday, I got hit with a ransomware attack. My old tech closed up shop, so I had to find another. A friend found a guy who does housecalls, so no overhead. He is friends with old tech, exchanged a lot of work with him. I am happy. He charged 25, but I gave him 30.

So far no SEs from the Covid shot yesterday. Yay. Not even a sore arm. And my step count was over 7000 steps yesterday. I'm surprised the little watch didn't make a surprised sound. LOL. It has assigned me 8000 steps and I'm usually luck to do half of that.
I'm happy with the countrywide election results but I'm old enough to have seen a lot of swings in voters sentiment. The real test comes when the elected officials are faced with governing. Lots of challenges.
What a scene in your back yard, Harley. Do you feel a tinge of sadness?
I hope all appointments schedules go well today. And everyone has a good Wednesday.

Had my post scans follow-up with MO today. Still stable although I have mild pneumonitis (symptom free except when I first wake up) and a small lesion in kidney. Since I only have one kidney, my internist has referred me to urology. MO wants to keep me on Ibrance and anastrozole and monitor. She did order an MRI of lower lumbar area since I have increased pain. She suspects nerve impingement since bone scan is stable. She hopes the MRI will help my pain management doc with treatment recommendations. I was kind of surprised that she didn’t have me hold my Ibrance for an additional week as my WBC was 2 and my ANC was .96. No wonder I’m pooped.
Here for pocket duty for all in need.
