It's dark outside and I hear distant thunder. A good day to stay inside. Later, I'll bring in my little collection of succulents. Tonight's temperature is forecast to be high teens or 20 degrees. I'm grateful that the ice storm weather is supposed to stay north of us. We will get more rain after rain yesterday.

DH and I were "talked out" by yesterday morning when our houseguests departed. We had lunch on Friday with a neighbor we seldom see and a former neighbor who has remained a friend. We enjoyed catching up with them. When we arrived home, our houseguests soon drove up. Unlike previous years, they did not depart early the next morning. So there was more conversation. LOL.

DH has a new health complaint. With some internet research, he has diagnosed himself with sciatica. We're figuring out what kind of doctor he should see. Betrayal, any suggestion? Last night we got out the heating pad. I have to credit him with being willing to go to a doctor and seek a remedy. He also searched online for exercises that might help.

Today will be football. Or maybe the games are tonight. I will also cook a pot of chicken and sausage gumbo, good comfort food for this weather.

yes, I'm pretty happy with my prosthetic too….the one small minus is the prosthetic is lighter in weight that my breast on the other side so one side sags a bit. but I wear my tops loose so it's not noticeable. I got a camisole with built in bra that I liked so well I got two more. much more comfortable than the bras I got after surgery.

Hi @dandrea, When you have competing medical problems there are usually ways to treat both at the same time. It might require taking heart medication or a changing the way your cancer is treated. When you get the results of the cardio cat scan have your oncologist confer with your cardiologist on how to manage your unique situation. All the best.

It is still cold but has stopped snowing so will be cable to check tomorrow how the front step and side walk are. Need to salt them down anyway to take out the recycle stuff. We just had a bunch of snow, no sleet thankfully.

I don't even know when's the last time I posted here because it's been a little over 2 decades since my dx. I was dx'd with IDC stage IIB with two lymph nodes involvement back in July of 2005. My tumor measured 3.5cm at dx. And you know what? After two decades, I'm still here alive and kicking, enjoy eating chocolate. 😁 Just because your nodes are affected doesn't mean it's a death sentence. You will be where I am right now before you know it and will be working your butt off to get your son ready for his prom. So in the meantime, just try to stay positive. My advice, never google for the stats. They are just numbers.

Hello Confused, welcome into our club. It will take a little while to let things settle in, so please wipe your mind of any & all expectations. There's no wrong way to feel, so please take little baby steps and you'll get there. It's a huge learning curve, so it's best to proceed forward very slowly at your own pace.

Your tumors are very small, so it apparently was caught quite early. Surely somebody with a similar diagnosis will be along later. I didn't have any lobular cancers, so I cannot comment on yours specifically. I had mixed rarer subtypes of BC, but I did get a mastectomy, at which point I felt a huge relief. My BMX was relatively easy for me, and I've been flat almost 12 years. My best to you in your BC experience.
