@livinglifenow pam, that’s great news about your PET scan. So happy for you. @eddiej thanks for the good thoughts and virtual Hugs! I appreciate them. I hope you don’t have to change meds yet. We got 10 inches here and I’m so OVER the snow. I heard today there is another storm coming in this Saturday and Sunday that’s going to bring more snow for us. I’m ready to pack up and move to Florida 🙄🤦♀️😀🌻🌺🌼🌸

Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Monday Monkey Dayt! I'm waking up to a good 8 inches of snow, thank goodness it's the very light, crystalline, sweep away with a broom type and not the heavy, wet type. Snow is still coming down pretty steadily. Poor Zoe had to turn around in circles for quite a while before she could clear away enough snow so her lady bits didn't drop into it when she peed! The first time she squatted she came right back up right quick! The look she gave me was pure "WHY?????" Colt looked pretty disgusted that all he got for his ayem yard perimeter sniff check was a pile of snow on his snout.
Carole--If I ever made that drink for myself, I would use hot coffee, I can't stand the taste of cold coffee!
mOmmy--at least it stayed above zero here last night, even if it was by all of 4 degrees.
Miriandra--I don't usually go for red wines, but the Madeira sounds like one to try. I'll have to ask a the next WWW meeting if anyone has some and where to get a taste.
Slightly out of season but still appropriate:
Christmas Snowstorm Margarita
Ingredients
• ▢1/3 cup unsweetened coconut milk
• ▢1-2 teaspoons honey or granulated sugar, adding more or less to taste
• ▢2 ounces silver tequila
• ▢1/2 ounce coconut rum
• ▢1/2 ounce orange liquor
• ▢juice of 1/2 lime
• ▢fresh mint, for serving
• ▢sugared cranberries, for serving
Instructions
• 1. Bring the coconut milk and sugar to a simmer over medium heat in a small saucepan. Simmer 1 minute, then remove from the heat and let cool. To quickly chill, add a of couple ice cubes.
2. Fill a cocktail glass with ice.
3. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, coconut rum, orange liquor, lime juice, and coconut milk. Shake to mix. Strain into your prepared glass. Top with sugared cranberries and mint.

I hope that everyone is doing well. I am in PA and have about 18 inches of snow. I am trapped in here, but I don't have to go anywhere.
Everything is closed down here…stores, post offices, most medical offices, etc.
@Elenora … When I was first dx'd with BC in 2002, the internet was brand-new and I had nowhere to go for communication. But I did join a BC support group at my local hospital. I ended up running the group, until it was closed down right before Covid and also by a doctor who wanted to run her own group…(sadly). And through the years, as we met monthly, I became very good friends with all of the members. It was so nice to be able to get together with good friends to share our experiences. And I was on chemo much longer than the rest of the ladies, who were mostly earlier stages.

Significant Tippy event: As I told you, the bathroom in subzero weather is the pottyroom. I traced a bad smell to the pottyroom last week. I cleaned it up and flushed both the toilet and the tub. Yesterday Tippy indicated the pottyroom again. It was pee in the tub. I flushed it. then I realized that if flushing the tub is important to him, what about me? Since I live alone, I don't always flush. Maybe that bothers him. OK. I will change my ways.
I am using K-tape on both of my thumbs and my knee, too. Good stuff.

Yesterday we broke the record for high temperatures- it was 86! Today it was 85, but no records broken. The temps are dropping into the 60’s on Tuesday and staying in the low 70’s for about the next 10 days. Yesterday and today were 12-15 degrees higher than normal.
Mind you, I’m watching the NY house like a hawk. Checking cameras it seems like hourly. Double checking on the temperature in the house, just to confirm it’s warm enough inside and all power is on. NY house has about 16” of snow right now and it’s still snowing. Many stores closed early today and many doctor offices sent texts/email today that they’re closed tomorrow. All the schools in the area are closed tomorrow too.
On Saturday I installed the second weatherstrip on the inside of the garage door. It was hot inside the garage, but not actually a hard job. Sitting on the garage floor and working left to right - set it with a clamp, pulled the tape strip to stick it to the door; then use my drill to put in a self tapping screw - the tape really doesn’t hold it there, it assists the screws. Haha!
I ran to Lowe’s and bought plumbers tape to fix the master shower and found a nice pair of garden gloves in clearance. A win win, We took off the shower head, retape the pipe and screwed the head back on. Tested it and it was fixed.
Today was a normal Sunday - bed stripped, laundry going. I showed my SO dr son the sliced off skin on my shin and he suggested I take the bandaid off and cover it with gauze instead. I don’t know if I told you all - a snow brush w extension and an ice scraper on the other end fell off the hooks in the garage and sliced a piece of skin off my shin. So gross, I just slapped the flap back on and went in to SO requesting a bandaid.
Why… you’re wondering why I have a snow brush in 86 degree FL weather? Traveling down we always keep it in the trunk of the car. Once here we take it out. I’ll be bandaged up for some time, it’s about the size of a half dollar.

One thing I am happy about is I found my neurosurgeon on google, need to be able to call and find out what floor the office is on, after all the surgery and appointments before. I have forgotten to be honest. Do not want to bug DB or SIL on this question but will if need be. Will phone back around 9am
