Insurance denial
Hi everyone,
I am a 2 time survivor In 2003 I had a lumpectomy, radiation, chemo and aromatase inhibitor for 10 years. Recurrence in 2012 in same left breast and opted for masc with reconstruction ( I had lost my husband a month later so wasn’t thinking too clearly) Anyways now finally looking for symmetry. Having a reduction, lift and Lipo on right breast. My insurance Cigna is denying the Lipo I know of the Women health and cancer right act would protect me with this denial.
I will file an appeal but was hoping to see if anyone has experience with this.

QOL pretty good, live life fairly normally and sometimes even forget about cancer!! Qigong, hike, snow ski, kayak, garden, dinner parties, family and grandkids. I feel very grateful for each day!

New PET shows progression and unfortunately liver mets. Contemplating my next treatment. Likely Xeloda but I am also looking into potential trials, Elacestrant and/or Verzenio. So much out there my head is spinning. But great to have options!!

What counts as "active treatment"? I'm honestly asking, since I am in that weird liminal zone between "done with surgeries" (I hope), but "still taking meds."

Pamm Smith He's still in charge of Florida for 3 more years, ruling with a hurt ego and anger that comes with it. Good luck Floridians. Especially those who are women and people who aren't as white as his gogo boots.
