Pool - My cousin called to say he had extra parts in his garage from his pool and he’d drop them off before he went to work. Then he text he was stopping at Home Depot for parts. By time he got to my house I only had to go to the pool place for the flex PCV. About $50 in parts, $100 to him. Family! I had to drop the water level, so the inlet wouldn’t have the pressure of water as he replaced it. I took off the clamps and hoses so he didn’t have to. He replaced it all in about 30 minutes. It’s filled back up and running well. I’ll put some shock in it tomorrow.
While I was out I got rid of 2 paint cans, recycled at Sherwin Williams.
I showed my cousin where my chain link gate across the driveway was hard to get open, it had dropped. He said I could adjust the attachment to the post. So once I was home from the pool place I got out a wrench and did what he explained. First attempt raised it nice and high, but then the gate latch barely touched the other side (2 pieces that latch in the middle). I had to play with it but success! Mind you it’s about 38+ years old originally installed by Montgomery Wards.
And that was my day. Awake at 6:30 AM, I hope to be asleep by 2 AM. Hoping your day was less crazy running around than my day. Nite!

Lil' Red in the middle. He hasn't all the silver (I think partly due to his actually being much smaller) and his paws don't look gigantic like his littermates. In he picture he doesn't look so much different in size and it is in the coloring and paw size that its most noticeable.
These are miniatures, so likely maybe 12 lbs. or a bit less. The parents look to be closer to 16 to 20 #'s.

@bcfightr24, we're sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. The first few weeks are some of the toughest. Everything is overwhelming, and you're just trying absorb this new, huge reality that is before you. It's scary, and hard to manage the anxiety, and everything feels unknown. It's great that you found a mental health therapist.
We've heard many times from different members about instances where they experienced what we would describe as "toxic positivity." All of the feelings that you are experiencing are normal, and it is not wrong for you to express them or feel them as you are experiencing. Like @salamandra shared, it's often that people are not able to manage their own fears and anxiety related to your diagnosis, and they respond in turn by shutting you down and encouraging you to have "positive thoughts." Try checking out this article, which talks about toxic positivity in relation to breast cancer, and some responses you can use when people say that to you:

The ones you would want to join are the In Treatment for Breast Cancer groups, which are for individuals with an early stage breast cancer. They are on Tuesdays at 1pm EST and Thursdays at 6pm EST. It can be especially helpful when you're in the beginning like you are right now to hear from folks who are a little further in the process, and they will understand this part of your experience in a way that no one else in your life can since they're not going through it.

Puffin, so glad you will be getting the lifter chair soon. It will take a little getting used to, but will be such a big help for you! My DH has one and it is wonderful! I agree with everyone here, your friend is awesome!
Sunshine, our Maverick was named by my kids after Maverick in the original Top Gun. Funny about the connections! Would you believe I must go now because my little Cairn Terrier, Kelce, is scratching at my legs demanding my attention! LOL

Sunshine, my husband’s and I used to show and breed Airedale Terriers. Small world. Our DD learned to walk holding on to the tail of our “girl” we called Rascal. Same dog, if I yelled at her for something it never meant anything to her. She would just wag her tail at me as if to say, “Don’t worry, you’ll get over it!”LOL She would also like to rub her wet beard on me after she got a drink of water! Such great dogs!🐾❤️

@ebfitzy My leg hair and armpit hair FINALLY stopped growing about a week after my second treatment. It’s awesome! No longer do I have to shampoo, condition, OR shave every day 🥳 It takes me longer to squeegee the shower walls afterwards than it does to actually shower 😂 This must be what it’s like to be a guy!
