    Goldie- it looks like it is silver sulfadiazine creme. I found more info on it and going to send it over to them so she can ask for some. Always good to have an endorsement from those who actually used something. Thank you friend!

    They're not "external burns: " even though the damage appears on the outside of the skin and resembles a sunburn, unlike a sunburn it first occurs deep within and manifests from the inside out. The point of the radiation is to reach deep into the tumor cavity and destroy any remaining tumor cells that might have been missed by surgery. By the time the evidence appears on the outside, it's possible that healing may have begun on the inside.

    Why? Because under normal circumstances, the basal cells of the dermis and epidermis continually die and new ones are generated. It happens imperceptibly. But radiation scattered from the surface of the tumor cavity ricochets and damages the basal cells' ability to produce enough new skin cells to replace the dead ones, and so irritation, blistering, peeling and even broken skin appear. It's dose-and-duration-dependent. Unlike a sunburn--which is caused by UV rays damaging the outer layer of the epidermis--the degree and extent of radiation damage is totally unrelated to the amount of pigment in the skin (I'm very pale and saw very little skin effects--just some pinkness, not even irritation or itching).

    So nothing you put on the skin can prevent "radiation burns." But it can relieve the discomfort and speed healing by helping pH balance and keeping too much moisture from escaping. My RO's office handed out sample tubes of Aquaphor, which I applied immediately after each treatment (even before getting dressed again). At bedtime, I applied 100% aloe vera gel (Fruit of the Earth, alcohol/dye/fragrance-free), followed by calendula cream (I preferred Boiron). Before I left for each session, I showered thoroughly because you need clean skin without any substances on it to prevent any interference with direct penetration of the rays to exactly where they're targeted. After I was done, my derm prescribed a steroid ointment (triamcinolone) to heal what she believed was too much reddening. It worked. Sulfadiazene can help with more severe damage.

    Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Monkey Day! It is an amazing 11 degrees outside this ayem! Going to get a little more snow today. At least we're out of the deep freeze for a little bit. Had a lively visit with Mom and Dick yesterday, got to see White Christmas for the first time inyears. Still a wonderful movie. Sadie just went from me to Mom to Dick for petting all through the movie.

    Chi--Simple Green to the rescue, indeed! That stuff is marvelous. Have you ever used it to wash clothes? Talk about getting greasy stains out. It's odd how the newer appliances aren't being made with some of the detail items they used to come with routinely. Maybe no one ever juliennes veggies at home anymore? Maybe everyone buys veggies pre-sliced now? Sounds to me like some of the dog owners in the neighborhood are being unreasonable. Sidewalks and streets need to be salted. Dog's paws need to be wiped off when you get home from a walk. Heck, I even have to wipe Sadie's paws when she comes in to get the snow balls out from between her pads and check the paw leather for cold damage, and that has nothing to do with salt! I'm sorry, but preventing crashing and human falls trumps salty doggy paw wiping after a walk.

    Jazzy--I used sulfasalazine, also known as Silvadene cream for radiation burns. No one ever said anything about using something to prevent burning.

    Dara--it was great watching the moving with Mom again. We passed on the popcorn since we watched it right after lunch, but made plans to do it earlier in the season this year. Sadie and I are managing to stay warm, and it's finally warming up a bit. January thaw coming end of the week, temps expected to be in the 40's!We're not going to know what to do with outselves!

    Cyndie, you could grow things in pots, or look for a community garden in your area. Look up container gardening.

    NM, how nice that you can pick up that tradition with your mom. I have a hard time watching something over and over again. Raven returning the trap would be nice. Funny thing, they KNOW they can find a meal in my garden. So they are always lurking around. If they get fed too much, they hang around all the time. I used to take them out with me on the quad and dump them down the road the a ways. It got to the point they would hear/see me, and circle, waiting for me to toss the meal! Raven Cocktail looks yummmmmmm.

    Well Sandy, since I didn't witness the theft, I'm not sure if it "cawed" out! How funny about the dog war.

    Dara, my hands and feet don't compare to what you went through, and still going through, that bit with your tummy!

    Jazzy, they tried me on many creams, and the sulfa one was the last one they tried and it helped. I had 3rd degree burns. And omg did my back itch, as the radiation was going in that direction as well.

    Good afternoon friends- just a quick message as it is a busy week and going away this weekend.

    Good news for today is that I talked to my insurance company about my lost stone from the family ring and the repair to restore things will be covered at 100% (no deductible) via my homeowners policy. I have a separate rider on this ring in the case of complete loss or theft, but glad to find out the policy will pay to repair too (never quite sure with these things and where those special amendments can surprise you?) Got the claim going this afternoon and now to find a good jeweler to do the appraisal for repair, restore it and reappraise it in what I expect will be a new setting. My jeweler closed (retired) a year or so ago when I had the ring checked last. Anyways, I gave myself a full week plus to see if the stone might show up here at home, but no luck. Onward to getting things repaired. This is my favorite piece of jewelry and thing given to me by my mom from our family.

    Sounds like the east coast is digging out from it's storm this past weekend. The west is starting to get moisture, I hear there is rain out in CA and it is coming this way. Hoping my other western friends here get some nice rainfall too.

    Lori, found out the reason Cuisinart doesn't make a julienne disc for 14-cup models: users of that disc for other models complained of uneven results that seemed more like coarse shreds. I quickly figured out there were two steps missing in the printed instructions for the "double-slice" method: after removing the long slices from the bowl, stacking them and cutting off one long edge to make an even, flat edge. "Place them into the feed tube cut-side-down" makes sense now.

    Jazzy, my mom's engagement ring was a white gold pave diamond cocktail ring. She'd lost a stone, so she stuffed the hole with tinfoil. About a year after I inherited it, the foil fell out (at first unnoticed by me). Still can't decide whether to replace the stone...or the tinfoil.

    The appliance gods giveth and the appliance gods taketh away. My "prosumer" Mazzer Mini espresso grinder seized up when I tried to adjust the burrs to coarsen the grind--which was too fine for the degree of humidity in the air and essentially "choked" the espresso machine, causing the coffee to come out in single drips after nearly 30 seconds. The motor hums but the burrs don't turn, and the grind-adjusting ring won't budge. Dumped out the beans, cleaned out whatever pieces I could find still in the "throat" above the burrs--still won't turn. After last year's kitchen-ceiling disaster (which clogged my espresso machine with plaster dust), I decided to have the coffeehouse-service shop replace the burrs on the grinder, which were already used when I bought the grinder on eBay. It worked flawlessly after the new burrs were installed...until an hour ago. So back to the shop it goes. I have my older consumer-level "Rocky" grinder I've been using for regular coffee--it's a royal pain to adjust the grind on it, takes practically three hands, but I'll cope. Either that or use the Nespresso capsule machine.

    In the course of looking for YouTube videos for the above-mentioned julienne "hack," I came across a long one from a "vlog" called "Amy Learns to Cook," subtitled "Cooking for Beginners." "Amy" reviewed three machines head-to-head: the Cuisinart 14-cup, and the much pricier KitchenAid and Breville SousChef models. She began with the Cuisinart--first complaining that the styling wasn't "modern" enough. (I should have expected as much: the KitchenAid stand mixer behind her was metallic hot pink). She did mention its $200 price point as an advantage, but went on to complain that it comes with only two discs--medium shredding and non-adjustable medium slicing. She criticized Cuisinart for not including more discs (or making the slicing one adjustable like that of the Breville), accusing them of making us spend more money to get more functionality. (Never mind that the price of a set of specialty discs + machine is still less than the base price of the other two processors). I had a feeling that would color her opinion of the machine to an extent that she wasn't going to give it a fair shake in testing. My suspicions were confirmed when she mentioned America's Test Kitchen's top-rating of the Cuisinart and said (or words to that effect) "let's see if they're right." (Oh, great--an admitted beginner out to prove she knows better than the pros).

    I was correct. Her resentment was evident. Her first task was mincing parsley. She held up the bunch and said, "First, take off the longest woodiest stems. Not all the stems--I don't have that kind of time." (First sign she isn't much of a cook). She threw a bunch of parsley into the machine (literally, a bundle of it), and haphazardly and lightly flicked the Pulse lever two or three times with her index fingernail, without stopping to scrape down the sides to put all the leaves into the path of the blades, then dumped the contents into a dish. She sneered, "Look at all the big uneven pieces," holding up a sprig still attached to its stem, "I give it a B." Then she attempted to chop an onion--as soon as I saw her dump a couple of onion halves (I kid you not) into the machine, I knew she'd do the same lackadaisical couple of flicks of the Pulse lever as she did with the parsley, with the same result and comments, especially "any more processing and I'd get onion soup or parsley soup--for onions I give it a C." She grudgingly admitted the tomato slices were perfect, rating them "A." Next came slicing potatoes. First she said she loves potatoes and nearly every day likes to make hash browns for breakfast, as well as her own potato chips. Then she complained the feed tube was too small to fit an entire potato on its side (!) so she had to use a smaller potato to fit--and then complained that if she wanted to make round slices the potato would flop over in the tube. (Note to beginner cooks: you can't expect to throw away your knife once you've bought a food processor--did it ever occur to her to cut the potato in half and stand the halves vertically in the feed tube)? Because there was one irregular slice of potato, she downgraded the Cuisinart.

    I didn't get any further, not wanting to see her attempt to shred a block of cheddar. I'd seen enough. Sure enough, I scrolled down to the comments, and she had chosen the Breville, crowing that ATK doesn't always know what it's talking about. What's that old saying: "A poor workman blames his tools?" It's as if I were to try a Gibson Les Paul or Fender Telecaster and then declare it to be a P.O.S. because it didn't make me sound like Springsteen or Eddie Van Halen.

    I'm certainly not made of money, but it always fries me when people claim that every business is venal and out to upsell them for no reason other than to lighten their wallets.

    Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Twofer Tuesday! I had an exciting drive home from work last night. Just as I was coming up on a small town fire station one of their trucks comes out lights and sirens and heads up the road the same way I'm headed.A few minutes later a Sherriff's SUV goes flying past me, also lights and siren. It's snowing a bit, so I'm going slower than usual.I see the sky light up a couple of times and I'm thinking there isn't anywhere near enough snow and wind for thundersnow to be happening. A bit down the roadI find out where everyone is headed.Seems a car took out a telephone pole, traffic is stopped both ways, and there I sat for about an hour while they dig the car out of the 5 foot snow banks and disentangle it from the pole. Apparently no one was hurt. While I'm sitting there I get a text from the electric company telling me there is a power outage in the area where I live and I realize the flashes I saw was probably a transformer blowing. Sure enough, when I get home there's no power. Fortunately it's a lot warmer now than a few days ago. Power came back on about 1:30 ayem. By then Sadie and I were all curled up in bed sleeping anyway. I am so glad this didn't happen last week!

    Goldie--I know a lot of people don't care for watching a movie more than once, or reading a book more than once, but I really enjoy re-watching favorite movies and re-reading favorite books. I always seem to find a new detail that I never noticed before. I can just picture those ravens circling around waiting for you to toss out their meal. Not foolish, those birds.

    Chi--oh my goodness, what a family story about the tinfoil in place of the stone! Missing steps in the directions do make for challenges, really sharp of you to figure those steps out.     Quiet in the lounge! We are heading out Thursday, first to get DH's stitches out and then to Phoenix for the Home and Garden Show and then to look at campers.

    Good morning friends- hope everyone has had a good start to the week. I am focused on broken things this week along with worky stuff. They say things come in threes, but sometimes they come in six packs too. Anyways, I am making some progress on the ring stuff but today it is about the furnace and also there is the car. Wading through the repairs and maintenance to be done on lots of stuff.

    Goldie- I hope you have a good trip and be safe during your travels. I hope the Home and Garden show goes well and that you either get some new business or maybe find a buyer? I think you are still trying to sell your biz?

    NM- we have so much old infrastructure in this country, especially with our electrical grids. I worked for several utility companies in the past through my work (yes, a woman of many experiences and industries). No doubt the load on that transformer with the cold weather. I hear the cold weather could be easing for a bit or do you have another storm?

    Keeping an eye on the HVAC stuff, more soon!

    Karen- I know you are working to get your furnace replaced. I learned today from the company that fixed the problems with mine that there are new emission regs that are going in to place in 2020. That may require more for me to do to upgrade more (or even replace) in the next few years, but since you are replacing yours now, thought you would want this information to be sure you have a 2020 compliant unit.

    Same thing happened last year when I replaced the water heater. A lot of this has to do with emissions from gas/forced air systems. More reasons to do solar!

    Kim, I also realized what a questionably-skilled cook "Amy" was when she said she puts whole tomatoes into the fridge to firm them up for slicing. NEVER refrigerate uncut tomatoes--makes them mealy & tasteless! (Who didn't learn that in HomeEc)? I checked another one of her reviews, "Unboxing the Cuisinart 14-cup;" and again, she b*+ched about there being only 2 non-adjustable discs and no storage receptacles included, while "her" Breville & KitchenAid have an adjustable slicing disc and "all the attachments." Of course, she also boasted about paying only $149 for the Cuisinart at Costco. I began wondering--if "Amy" is really "Learn(ing) to Cook," how come she has three food processors--one of them costing $300 and another $399?

    I got my answer scrolling through the comments. Someone asked if she actually pays for the appliances she tests. She replied that manufacturers send her their "cheaper" stuff free to review in return for mentioning the brand; and as to those for which she pays, she will mention the brand and review them if she recommends them. I then looked at the YouTube "handle" of the person actually answering the comment: "Eric Learns to Cook." Hmmm--so she and her DH (or DB or DS) aren't as wide-eyed and media-naive as it may appear. She may be an unskilled cook, but I doubt she's actually a "beginner."

    My DOTD will be determined by what I cook or eat tonight.

    Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Hump Day! I was looking forward to a nice sleep in this ayem but Sadie decided that it was time for her to play alarm clock again. So I got a whole 20 minutes more sleep than usual! Oh, well, not like it hurts me to get up at 6:30 on my day off, right? Going to a Succulent Plant and Sip event at a local shop tonight--wine and munchies while planting a small succulent garden to take home, and an hour of discount shopping at the store. A couple of friends are going too, so it should be a really fun time. Got an e-mail from my Kaplan manager, have another class tentatively set up for middle of May, this one is local, things are starting to pick up there, which makes me very happy.

    Goldie--It is nice to have more seasonable temperatures to work with. I need to get out and do some shoveling before the rain that's predicted to come on Friday. Not looking forward to that. There certainly were a lot of flashing lights for a one car accident, weren't there?

    Jazzy--Yes, the weather has eased up, temps are in the teens where they are expected to be this time of year. The January thaw is coming at the end of the week, temps predicted to get into the 40's so the storm that is also coming will be rain and not snow. And hopefully not too much iciness, but will have to wait and see about that part.

    Chi--Sounds to me like Eric and Amy are pretty skilled at making money by doing internet reviews, and not such good cooks. I certainly wouldn't give them much credence if I were looking for a food processor or anything else.

    Jazzy, we are still trying to sell. Have a friend that is working with us, with the potential to buy it in the future. So I really don't see that going anywhere. The guy that was trying to help us sell wanted us to come down in price. To an amount of almost what we make in a year. I can't see selling it at that price. Might as well keep it.\

    NM, succulents and sip….how fun! And to be able to share it with friends. Is that rain that's coming suppose to freeze? I see maybe not, with temps nearing 40. Heat wave for you! Man, I do not miss that weather one bit!

    Oh every time I come here I miss more and more. I'm so used to writing a lot here and now I can hardly catch up. I miss all the daily talks.

    Cyn I work for a company that does heating/ac, plumbing and electrical--residential and commercial from my bedroom. I started 5 yrs ago with maybe 20 calls a week, now it's exploded especially with crappy weather all times of the day and thru the nite. I do have great guys I work with nd for, but my work load has expanded to do more than just answering the phones now cuz they're so busy, I schedule more nd mke follow-up calls more, alot of the customers and I are on first name basis and all the new ones for the most part are very nice, but I do get the asses too.

    Well Leslie operation and recon will be Tuesday, she talked to the PS and now she feels good about the whole thing, well I'm just keeping my mouth shut. So he'l put foobs in and not take from other places for now. He will in fact take some from her stomach to fill in when it's time. One of my cousins offered to come and help as long s we need her, LOL that's indefinitely around here, so we'll see. Since I never had recon I don't have a clue if the other surgery has pain or not, cuz I know being boobless has no pain, so I'll see now.

    I just wanted to let u gals know what's going on here, I'll try to come back latah to read but I do hope all are doing well no matter what's going on===U know I might have told u all this I really don't remember at this time---Jeez I'm loosing it.

    Cami- glad that Leslie has her surgery date. I hope the procedure and the pending recon go well, I know you are a worried mama bear friend. I will be in her pocket next Tuesday. How else can we help you friend?

    Also, my friend going through treatment called last night to chat and begins next Tuesday with her next round of treatment as well; three weeks of radiation treatment. She is nervous so we talked about things and what to expect.

    She was telling me some of the women in the treatment center area are very difficult to be around, many are super angry. I told her everyone reacts to this stuff differently but if they are stressful, she needed to find a way to not chit chat. I recommended she bring headphones and a book and tune them out while she is waiting. I personally cannot remember sitting in the rads waiting area when I was doing my treatment and anyone wanting to talk. Most everyone was stoic, if not outright shell shocked in appearance.

    NM got some moisture overnight in to today. Mountains have a nice coating of snow. First moisture in the city here in 96 days. Hoping this is the beginning of some real winter here?

    Kinda foggy, drizzly, and warm (almost 50) here today. Since I'll be nuking petrale sole & herbs in parchment when I get back from my BC supp. group meeting, I'll drink whatever Vernacchia is left in the fridge. Right now, my DOTD is a cappuccino, sipping as I type before I head out--had to use up the last of the milk and the no-longer-fresh espresso beans (the new ones won't be drinkable till tomorrow--takes 3 days to out-gas). Oh, and the delicious ice water in the car cup-holder en route (the bottle half thawed out).

    Good Morning, Loungettes! Well, I had a very odd day yesterday. Got done puttering on the computer and was thinking about going out and doing some shoveling and got feeling sooo very tired. Figured it was cuz I hadn't made coffee and needed a caffeine fix. Sat down for a minute to check the battery charge on my phone and few other things and found myself nodding off right in the chair. Figured if I was that tired I could take a little ayem nap and do the shoveling and shopping and such in the peeyem. Next thing I knew it was 2 peeyem, and I had slept for around 4 hours! Got up to pee and get moving, since I was planning to go to an event last night, felt a little nauseated, figured it was cuz I hadn't eaten all day, put some soup in the nuker to warm up, sat down while it cooked and fell asleep AGAIN. Next thing I knew it was 7 peeyem and a friend was texting me. Had a half hour conversation, then went to bed and slept through until quarter to 7 this ayem. I feel fine this ayem, have the second cup of coffee going and oatmeal for breakfast, thinking I better get out and get some shoveling done today before the rain starts tomorrow and makes a real mess of things. I cannot for the life of me figure out what was going on yesterday unless my body was fighting off a virus or something. Anyway, I feel fine and have energy this ayem, so no harm done by sleeping the day away. I really regret missing the plant and sip last night, though. Still, I'm going to trust that my body needed the rest for whatever reason, and there will be other sip and plant events, I'm sure. And boy is it nice to see the sun shining this ayem!

    Goldie--The rain that's coming should stay mostly rain with some very heavy wet snow mixed in. The temps should be warm enough to melt off a lot of the current snow pack. The big trick with the January thaw is to keep moving the slush off roads, walkways, decks, etc so it doesn't freeze up as a layer of heavy ice when the temps drop back to winter levels again. Anywhere you don't want a layer of ice has to be kept cleaned off. But it will be nice to have some of the side of the road snowbanks brought down from their current 5+ feet. So hard to see around when turning corners.

    Cammy--So glad Leslie has a surgery date and is feeling good about her plan. Feeling good with the recon choice is so very important. Your nephew's company really has grown in the last few months. I'm sure the nice customers outnumber the a$holes, or at least I hope so.

    Jazzy--it must be so hard for your friend to have to be around so many angry people in the waiting room. Great idea for her to take a book or headphones (which don't even need to be plugged into anything!) as a buffer. I rememberwearing a flimsy johnny in a waiting room full of fully dressed men and the occasional fully dressed woman and being mortified, especially when they started making conversation by saying "you must be a breast cancer lady." Apparently only "breast cancer ladies" had to put on johnnies for radiation at that center. Sounds like you are starting to finally get some winter whereyou are. While winter weather can be unfun, it is necessary to keep the groundwater levels up. Based on the level of snow we've got here there won't be any drought worries next summer!

    Chi--I really am missing going to the Farm Store for my milk and cream. I can get it other places but it's not the same. My friends are talking with the town folks to find out what they can and cannot do in terms of rebuilding. They would like to rebuild on a different part of the property so they can set up a more functional arrangement while retaining the fell and charm of the old farm house and barn that burned. Ice water from thawing water bottles does tend to taste really good for some reason.

    White Chocolate Snowflake Martini

    Ingredients (makes one drink)

    2 oz. vanilla vodka

    2 oz. Godiva white chocolate liqueur

    1 oz. white creme de cacao

    1 oz. half and half

    Lemon wedge

    Sanding sugar

    Directions

    Cut a half-inch slit into the lemon wedge and rub it around the rim of the glass. Pour sanding sugar into a shallow dish then dip the rim in the sugar to coat evenly. Gently shake off excess sugar. Add the vodka, chocolate liqueur, creme de cacao, and half and half into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain mixture into glass.

    Serve immediately, and enjoy with your favorite seasonal tunes next to a toasty fireplace!

    Actually, a Rollator & in-line skates would get me around faster than walking, and more safely than a bike (I have no sense of balance). I'd love to buy a "pulka," a type of standing sled used in Norway for getting about town on compacted snow & ice. (Saw people using them during feature segments on TV coverage of the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer). Sort of like a winter version of those old orange-crate-and-roller-skate scooters that kids (mostly boys) used to build back in the '50s. You hold its raised handles, stand on its platform, and use one foot to propel between glides. Some have bags or baskets mounted on front or behind. Only hitch in the city (at least on this side of the pond) is that it's useless on intermittent sections of bare pavement.

    Had 3 oz. of 2013 Vernaccia di San Gimignano last night. San G. is one of the Tuscan hill towns we tried to visit in July 2016 but couldn't because there was nowhere to park outside its walls (the garage and parking lots were already full, mostly with tour buses).

    Just looked up "pulk" and "pulka," and found that they are also called "spark" or simply "kicksleds." No platform (dunno why I seemed to remember seeing one), just runners and a seat in front of the handles for carrying a passenger or parcels. Confirmed my suspicions that they're pretty much useless in the city except before streets have been plowed and sidewalks cleared. Oh, well. Maybe I'll get one for recreation to replace X-C skis (which I'm afraid to use now for fear of falling).

    Good morning, Loungettes! Happy TGIF day! Going in to work today in unseasonable warmth, expecting to break a high temp record today. Lots of melting has already happened, will get more today with the warmth and rain that's expected. Then tomorrow we go back to below freezing point again and things will freeze up again. Ah, winter in Maine! I hope I get to drive through some good rain, Pearl the jeep needs a cleaning badly! She's more brown than white right now! Poor Sadie is having to wait for me to wipe off her paws before I let her run around the house, which she finds odd at best. I can tell from the look she gives me that she is just indulging me. Of course, she isn't the one who has to clean up muddy paw prints all over the place!

    Jazzy--if it happens again I will call the PCP. I've felt fine since, so I think I just needed the rest for some reason.

    Chi--Pulkas sound helpful for some areas, they would work really well around here! I hear you about tour busses.When the cruise ships are docked in Bar Harbor it's wall to wall people and tour busses and taxis and you can't hardly move.

    Back into the deep freeze again: 21F, low tonight of 6. Snowing on & off all day. Only saving grace thus far was very little sticking, because the ground had warmed up. Still getting lake-effect snow showers through tom'w morning.

    Went out to dinner with DH and planned on having a margarita, then while turning into the restaurant parking lot two cars hit each other right in front of us, not a bad crash but enough to freak me out a little (had a bad roll over accident years ago where I thought I would die), anyway, I ordered the jumbo one, lol

    Ill that did call for a super sized drink, I get upset too when I've seen an accident that I've been close to.

    Wow Kim u really slept. Sometimes our bodies call for lots of rest even when somethings not wrong, just needs to recharge, maybe that's what u needed. Every so often I need a day kind of like that, I just can't wake up, then I'm OK. Well ur getting the weather there, ours broke up a little like Sandy said but I think she got lake effect snow when we got rain so right now all the snow has washed away. But u always get it worse then we do, naturally cuz of location---but ours isn't great that's for sure. What was poor Sadie doing all that time, I hope she was cuddling with you or wondering why u were still sleeping.

    Jazzy it's so good that ur GF has u to talk to, it has t o mean so much to her, well especially for all the crabby women she runs into. Wow I never did, oh once in a while but they did get out of it and start talking and LOLing with the rest of us. So that was good for them But to sit in a room with that down feeling has to make u feel worse. Ur a very up person so she really needs u now.

    I think I told u my BFF called the other nite, the first time I talked to her since her DD died. I still am thinking about it---no heart attack, nostroke she died of a raging UTI going into sepsis nd was not treated for it and her organs just down. How could that happen, doesn't seem possible for now a days. I just let her talk for as long s she wanted, I really couldn't comfort her, there is nothing to say, but like I said I keep on thinking about it, such a waste that didn't need to happen. They just sent her home that's it. My BFF is still in that shock of WTF stage. Oh I don't even want to imagine, but it's hard not to think about it.

    Sandy that would be a great idea to have a walker with a seat and somehow hve sled feet, turning it off and on when needed with ur feet on the longer sled part. of course it has to have the weight on it or it will go wild---Jeez I sound like a real stunod or a genius---u know the fine line, ok I crossed the line again. Like I've said many times <as u know> u need a lazy person for designing things so it will be the easiest way to do things, not smartest but the laziest--we always find the less we do the better some things are. How are Gordy and his GF doing, I hope good.

    I kind of didn't sleep tonite, I had 3 emergency calls for plumbing and furnace o I'm going to be bitchy today to everyone.I'm so happy I have that Keurig, what a difference for me, it's so easy and I can make it anytime I want. So far I've found K cups on sale every week, so that helps too.

    I think Lori is gone this weekend nd hope she's doing well.

    Oh Jodie is taking a couple of days off, but not when Leslie's in the hospital---when she comes home so I'm glad for that, cuz she really can't do much for her in the hospital so she'll just come here and if I need my cousin she can come after. So we're pretty much set for Leslie. I hope.
