Good morning girls, typing on word again, thanks Lori, so no gremlin for me. I have a lot of catching up to do, I'm off today and have no doctor appointments or scans or tests, yay! Just laundry and house stuff which sounds mighty appealing at the moment.
Cami, 120 people at a shower?! Wow, Italians know how to throw a party, and talk about presents! That baby should be wee stocked for a long time! Your stories about Leslie back in the days surrounding Joey as a baby are so sad, I had no idea. I'm so glad you were there for him and Marty has stuck by her. And good Joey was too little to remember any of it. Glad he is getting counseling now and he's still gramma's boy. Hopefully he's just going thru the normal teen boy hormone stuff. My son did when he was 16, had to admit to me he was depressed, said he didn't think about hurting himself but he wouldn't care if he died... well THAT woke me up! I got him into counseling and he went on an antidepressent and by the time he graduated he was fine, hopefully it's just like that with Joey. And you're right, a lot better meds and so much more knowledge about mental health now. He sounds like such a sweetie. I hope Marty and Leslie find a house that suits all of you. Haven't seen the commercial you talked about yet, I'll have to watch for it. Learning new computer stuff, ugh.. I remember one time I got a virus on mine and all this pornography was popping up everywhere and I called my son and he talked me thru how to get rid of it on the phone! Amazing to me how some people just "get" computer stuff, well these kids now grew up with them but my son didn't get one till he was 16 and it's just natural to him. Keep the cat mem's coming I'm still a page behind but I'm moving on for now.
Jazzy, so nice having a clean house altho mine never stays that way long. I used to get my house cleaned twice/month but when I cut back to 3 day work week I just couldn't justify it, I live in an 1800 sq ft condo and we don't even use the upstairs, just need to go up there to clean the toilet and dust every now and then.
Kim, our gardens sound about the same size, mine is just in the back area of my condo, enough for a few tomato plants and some lettuce and herbs. Summers are so short here and even shorter where you are, sometimes I wonder if it's worth the work. So tell me again where you are working? Hospital, rehab center, I know you told me but I can't remember. Hopefully you can have a nice vacay visiting your brother each year altho I know how hard that is whe you have a dog. Might be a nice respite for you mom in the future, how is she about flying?
Celia, the bowling is fun and I do much better when I drink. My Monday 9 ayem leave I don't do well at all but I've been pre-bowling a lot cause all these DR appts have been on Mondays so I do that in the afternoon with some wine and my teammates are amazed by my scores. When in person last week and never even hit my average. EDP, great name!
Lily, Just terrible to hear all that you and your hubby have been thru, seems so unfair when so much bad stuff happens to one family. And then you getting hit with stage IV bc, prayers for you both, I'm so sorry. Hope you can at least get the estate stuff behind you, I know fro experience how stressful that can be.
Lori, thank you for the nice Pooh/Piglet story, and thanks again for the phone call, you helped a lot! I know you've got some bad news on the next page but I just glanced so I'm going to get to that later.
Janky, I'm here from a few years ago so I think we've kind of missed each other so nice to meet you. I've made so many friends here, it's nice to be back. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's passing but what a lovely way to go. How is your dad doing? Yay to stable bone scan! Being new to this mets stuff I can imagine what good news that must be!
Sandy, glad you made it to the funeral safe and sound.
Ill, glad to hear about the good scans, hope you start feeling better tho.
Misty, you are right about the weddings, the money people spend is crazy, esp if the couple doesn't have any. Seems crazy to me when a couple can barely afford to pay the rent and then parents are dishing out thousands on a wedding. Cost of medical tests are crazy but more on that lateer, I'm just trying to catch up now then I'll get into that further.
I'm going to post this then move on to the next page, only way my cray-cray brain can keep up..

Ok, here I am again, onto the next page and to catch up on my latest stuff.
Jazzy, Yea, the insurance costs are tough and then to get caught with bills on top of the deductible is hard to take but geesh I can't imagine what would've happenend if I hadn't gotten them. I would've been taking the AI with the Ibrance and BC probably would've just kept progressing. Hopefully the regimen they are starting me on will do the trick. Glad to hear about your new work project, you never know what small projects will open the doors to bigger ones.
Sandy, I read the same thing about the mutation not showing up until later in the progression of the disease. It's not really about whether I can afford it, it's a matter of the insurance company calling something out of network when there is only one lab in the country doing the very important research. That's the part that I will challenge. When I had chemo in 2014, I had it at a University HOspital sattelite facility. It was my 3rd chemo which I had every 3 weeks. They informed me that they would not have a doctor there for my next appt and would I mind going downtown to the main campus for my next tx. I said no problem and had my 4th chemo downtown. A month later I got a bill for $7000 stating that the main campus was out of network! When I called the ins company they said it was my responsibilty to know that! Anyway, long story short I appealed it, Doctor wrote letters saying there was no in network facility that could have given me the chemo that day and I won. Ins co paid the bill and to me this is the same thing. No other place I could've gotten this very critical information so cost should be covered so I do intend to challenge it if I get a bill.
Kim, It was quite a shock finding out about the AI's not working. Don't know if you remember but I have neoadjuvant chemo, 6 months of misery and when my surgeon did the mastectomys and biopsy report came back saying chemo had zero effect on cancer. Surgeon said it did nothing, that was a big blow as well! This felt much the same. We are getting crazy weather here, snow, blowing, cold today and tomorrow then 40's on Sunday and 50's on Monday, gonna be a sloppy mess. Soon as I'mm done here I'm gonna bundle up and take the dogs in the woods cause we'll be sticking to concrete in a few days.
Jazzy hope you hear from the client soon.
JCS, sorry to hear about your brother's failing health. I think people forget what we are dealing with when we look fine, people tell me, you don't look like you're sick, guess it's hard for some to take in that we can have this insidious disease but look so healthy. I hate hearing about such young women getting this shit, hard enough for me in my 60's I can't imagine going thru it with babies to raise.. just so sad. Glad you got to have some fun with your sister.
Cami, I'm getting my hair done next week too, can't wait, it's been months! We'll have to posts pics of our new do's.
Lori, I am so, so sorry to hear about your son. I hope you and his dad will get him the help he needs. Will you be able to see him when you get to Michigan? Please call me anytime if you need to talk.. praying for his recovery.
Ill, still praying and hope your brain gets untangled and tells your throat what to do.
As for me, I had to jump thru hoops yesterday trying to get this Ibrance delivered so I can start it on Monday. I'm getting the Fulvestrant injections, the Xgeva shot and they want me starting Ibrance the same day. It's got to be made by some special pharmacy, the one my MO sent the order to isn't the one the insurance company wanted so it had to be re-ordered. Then the new pharmacy calls me while I'm trying to work yesterday, says my deductible has not been met so I have to pay $2900 before they will send it. So I say ok, how do I do that and she says I need to call this other number and when I call it , it's now longer in service. All this while I'm shampooing color out and trying to stay on schedule which was tight yesterday. Anyway, I finally get a pharmacy guy and he says Phizer will give me a card and the medicine will be free until I hit $25,000!! I say when things sound too good to be true they usually are but he insist no gimmicks, so then he tells me to wait one hour and call back to order the delivery and the delivery lady says it's $2900....!! Geesh, I tell her the pharmacy guy said it would cost nothing and she says "ok, then just ignore the invoice!" So we'll see what happens but it's supposed to be delivered today. Hopefully it'll go more smoothly next month. Any, got to get moving, time to bundle up and get the pooches out. Hope you all have a great weekend!

I'm just going to jump in at the present. My ex took my son to the hospital and had him admitted. They have been running tests, have him on Ativan and something else, but he wasn't sure what it was, to help with the detox. They will help get him on Medicaid and then hopefully into rehab. My ex, finally after 20 years is talking to me! He's held a grudge this long!

Happy Friday! We went to the beach today and though the wind was chilly, it was lovely and warm sitting in a beach chair watching the pelicans and the fishermen! It is supposed to really warm up here in Sarasota in the next coupple of days, so 'bring it on!"
genny - really nice to 'meet' you though sad that you, too, are stage 4 - ugh! I am on Ibrance, letrozole and quarterly xgeva shots and stable for 2 years +, so I wish many continued years for all of us!!
cami - 120 people??! that is a lot for sure!! Italinas do know how to throw a party
jcs - I hope things get better for your brother...
Ooops everyone coming in for dinner (I had some well needed alone time for an hour), I will be back, enjoy the weekend - Cheers!

Hi ladies.
Oh Mary I'm so glad ur back but not glad about the reason, u are such a sweet soul and missed u. BTW how fast do u type. For that matter all of u. I take forever either typing or correcting, u can tell the time I post my memes and when I send my posts. I'll bet I have had more years of typing than any of you and I can't hold a candle to any of you. Even these kids never had lessons but they type on a computer they use all fingers and fast like crazy. I learned on a non electric typewriter u'd think when I got to electric it would be easier ...NO not me. And Mary now I know u type that in no time like the rest of them. Well let me announce now I'm back to 2 finger typing now so I am a challenged typist who can't spell anymore <but the computer always tells me> so then I have to go back. And on top of that u gals really contribute to important things where I just blabber <like Now> But I can still read, just can't remember so I forget things I wanted to say. See all this just to say I'm glad to read you.

Hi friends- reading all the updates from everyone and just want to wrap my arms all around all of you and wish you better days. So much going on for everyone here with the cancer stuff, aging parents, adult children struggling, losses and funerals to attend, etc.
Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend

Janky, coming from Alberta, and it's been so cold, I'll bet you really enjoyed that beach day.
Cami, you know we all love your blabbering. But you are cracking me up, as you do so often, about your typing. I learned to type on the old type writers and absolutely hated the electric ones when they came out, as you only had to barely touch a key, I made so many mistakes.
Isn't that the truth Jazzy. Thank you for being the kind and thoughful person that you always are.
Well, with my son in the hospital for help, I'm feeling much better. I just hope when they are done with him at the hospital, that he goes into rehab. I'm so afraid he's going to decline, thinking he can do it on his own. Today we are taking more stuff for the sale and also staying there to put prices on everything. Our friend, when she had hers, didn't have prices, so people are constantly asking you "how much".

Goldie - So sorry to hear about your son. Addiction is an insidious disease. I agree he needs support for the long term to be successful. Arms are around you to help support him.
Cami - You are so funny! Every time you write something it is important. It lifts me up and I get a good chuckle.Illi - Continued best wishes for your total recovery. Patience will be tested, but you will get better.
Teka - Love the double yolk!
Lovely morning here. Will go walk, then vote in the primary. Much basketball today and I have several new books to read. Somewhere in there I will need to pack. Made some plans for our trip yesterday that look fun.
Take care everyone!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Saturday!Sunny and brisk, here this ayem. The last big snow storm turned out to be totally underwhelming. Some snow, some rain, lots of wind, very few power outages, in other words, nothing much. And it's almost March, which means spring will get here soon, Hooray for Mud Season!
Jazzy--thanks for the PM, some very good advice in there. I'm sure you'll do fine with the quick turn around project, you really know what you are doing, after all. I bet your sister will end up "coming home" sometime after the current season of her life is over.
Librarian--glad you got through traveling safely! It's going to be interesting how things will work out with quarantines and such, if it comes to that. It is hard when no one asks after your own health. I think it's because they are afraid of what they will find out, and they prefer to go on thinking that if you can travel you must be fine.Enjoy the beach!
Cammy Cat--Saying my mom is super stubborn is sort of like saying the sun rises in the East. Kind of "Duh."What's so funny is that I am considered very stubborn and that I got that from my father and his father! Can you imagine some of the arguments that went on in my house growing up? Epic! I have lived by myself pretty much since I left home. I didhave a room mate situation for a while. I've lived in the house alone since I bought it in '93. I almost can't imagine living with someone else in the house. And you are right, Mom knows what she wants right now, and has the ability and means to do what she wants, and I really need to stop borrowing trouble. Can't wait to see the new hair pic!
Goldie--Oh, hon, what a desperate situation. Hugs and prayers.
Illimae--so hard to wait on the body to catch up with what you want. Still saying prayers for your recover.
Genny--I work in a Nursing Home that provides Skilled Rehab care and Long Term Care, so it's a mix of people coming in after surgery or hospitalization for chronic illnesses that need to get strength back to go back home safely, and people who live there permanently.Mom is ok with flying, she's got no issue flying by herself. Going to visit the brother will make a nice vacay once in a while. I'd have to kennel Sadie cuz Mom absolutely will not take care of dog or cat for anyone.
Genny--I did not remember that the chemo didn't have any effect. That is just so not fair for you. I do remember the out of network insurance fiasco. And then to have to work so hard to make things work out on top of paying huge amounts of money. SMH.Sometimes I wonder if insurance is even worth the effort. Hugs.
Goldie--glad your son is getting care. And that the ex is finally growing up.
Janky--hope your dinner went well!
Cammy Cat--my Dad used to call 2 finger typing "Biblical Typing",you know, seek and ye shall find (the letter you want)!
Goldie--hope you make lots on the sale!
Teka--Cool getting the double yolk!
Librarian--enjoy the walk!

Hello, all.
Echoing Jazzy's message to all & continued healing thoughts to all in need.
Cammy - What a party! My brother's 1st wife was part of a large Italian family & their wedding was 500+ people. Typing - I learned on a manual typewriter, & in high school used electric - actually won a typing award for being fast/accurate. Still work those fingers at a rapid pace.
Goldie - Good news about your ex finally pitching in & glad to hear a step in the right direction has been taken in re: your son.
Genny - Can't believe the $$$$ you pay for healthcare & then to have the hassles with paying for things, too. I am toying with a possible trip to Cleveland for a college St Pat's Day Party on 3/14 at the Barley House - will you be around for a meet & greet?
Had an early dinner with DH & imbibing in Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling. Cheers!
Illi - Continued well wishes for your recovery.

Hi friends- it is a sunny day here in the New Mexico and I have been working outside on things while this weather lasts. Cleaning windows, leaves and dust from the fall in to winter, etc. I am still leaving some things covered up and kept more winterized until we get into later March. We can still get snow storms well into March, even on occasion up to May. I have a get together to go to tonight with a few friends but only going for a little while. They are all heavy drinkers and well, I am not?
Speaking of drinking though, I had some errands yesterday and stopped by a distillery here (we have lots of breweries but distilleries on are on the rise here as well) for lunch. A friend of mine from other times and places and her family own it and they have the best darned street tacos that they also serve with elote. What is elote you ask? I never had it until the past year and had it there before for the first time. It is basically Mexican street corn but on the cob (vs. in a salad as they sometime offer it). It is a taste sensation. I also got a tour of the distillery and learned a lot about how different spirits are made. I will post some pictures to show you after this post and from my phone. My friend happened to be there yesterday which I did not expect, but it was a nice visit after too long (and also how I ended up with the tour).
The other interesting thing to share is I am going to see Harry Connick Junior on Tuesday night! I have been wanting to go but also waiting because of the whole jump back in to work thing, and starting looking to see what one off tickets they had left. The site I kept getting directed to had really hefty fees that were adding a good third to the ticket price. A cheaper ticket was running $149 and just can do that right now, but then read an article in the newspaper from yesterday that Ticketmaster was also selling tickets to this event and went out today and scored a pretty good single ticket for $86 with fees. I have usually used Ticketmaster for any headliners that come through here and they have fees too, but not like that other place. Anyways, even sweeter is I got an early b-day gift from someone that covers the cost nicely. Harry has some new music out, Songs of Cole Porter. And okay, he is easy on the eyes too.
Gotta get back to my chores and continue to hold all of you in my arms with all you are going through. Better days ahead folks, keep trusting that.

Jazzy - Enjoy Harry! Agree with you he is easy on the eyes. Also from New Orleans so has a lovely accent.

Afternoon ladies,
Wow I'm late Jodie was here then my phone started, I'm still struggling, plus Joey and Jodie LOLing at me while I was trying to understand. 2 brats both of them.
Lori I've been saying prayers for ur son <u know I'm a big prayer person> I'm glad he's in the hospital now big prayers so he follows thru with rehab. This is a crazy disease and so difficult to fight.
OH OH OH Miss Celia got an award for best typist. Well I got a mention too. Of course it wasn't like yours. Mine was the slowest typist with the most mistakes <really> I think they thought it would embarrass me so I'd do better-40 words a min. with 12 mistakes, How could I forget, I was special. And I remember the first thing my art teacher said to me...U can't get any worse...I thought that was a compliment. And I took 3 yrs. of Spanish. The first 2 yrs. I got allA's the third yr. I flunked out. The reason was I no longer sat by the girl who was from Brazil, she didn't take the 3rd. yr. I'm going thru my goofy memories this week.
OK now I go to Miss Kim talking about stubborn moms. Did ur mom ever get 2 letters from different dept. stores asking her not to shop there anymore. Or 1 letter from a carpet store GIVING her a carpet again askin g her not to shop there anymore. And another letter requesting a list of clothing stores she might like to try instead of theirs. She was so stubbornly hard to deal with So I think she get the honorable mention for this. And believe me that's the tip of the iceberg.
Illi I think of u so often and I remember yrs. ago a nurse told me it's amazing how 24 hours the body can do remarkable things for healing. And that's what I'm praying for you. That's why I like when u check in.
Teka I always like to see u check in, u haven't changed in all these yrs. And I love it.
JC ur going back on the road again, I think this song was meant for you. I enjoy ur travels and especially ur pics. Thank you.
Jazzy u too and when I see ur sun goes down pics. Wow they look like paintings, so perfect. I loved taking pics when we had those disposable cameras, but after a while I gave it up cuz no one had heads.
OK I have to get caught up with work and my typing skills.

Mornin; ladies,
Illi ur sounding a bit better glad to hear it. See I like when u just check in.
Lori what's happening with ur son. I pray he's getting the right kind of help.
OK I'm sure everyone knows but Jazzy what is an elote or whatever it's called. I;ve never heard of it.
Lent started right??? I know ur supposed to fast but that's not so easy. So I thought whatever u can put in a blender could liquefy and viola all kinds of things to have. I thought this out very carefully its not cheating, maybe smudging a little, but not cheating. Besides over a certain age and almost any illness excuses u completely, so I think I'm covered all the way around.
I just realized it's MARCH, Wow talk about time going fast. Weather wise its the crazy month so we'll see what it brings. I think we change times this month and spring starts and let's not forget the Ides of March...a big month but nothing with presents, unless it's ur BD.
OK ladies, I'll check back later, hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday.

JCS, Cami is indeed a funny one isn't she? Where are you going and what kind of fun things did you plan?NM, glad your weather held off, mud season coming soon and then fiddle heads! I imagine it would be hard to live with someone after being alone all these years. Your mom isn't doing anything right now, is she? I mean, this is just thought for the future right? I didn't know your mom would not take care of Sadie. The aunt that would take her, is she the one that passed? Yes, my ex is finally talking to me after 20 years. He's been very bitter and even in therapy. His therapist even told him he should speak to me, and this even before the issues with our son. Not sure when the sale will be, it's might not even be until April. It takes about 35-40 to get there, and if we don't go until 11 or so, it doesn't give us much time before we need to get back home. Funny about the biblical typing.
Celia, it's never been that my ex didn't pitch in. He is a great person and an awesome dad. It was with me that he had the problem. I was the one that left the marriage. He has been very bitter since. Even when he had a GF for 15 years. I couldn't be with a man that couldn't get over his ex.
Jazzy, we do have some weird weather. I have a picture with my hummingbirds and snow on the feeder with frozen sugar water, so that had to be in April sometime. Harry C is def. easy on the eyes. As they say "he can eat crackers in my bed anytime".
Cami, were you cheating those first two years in Spanish? Oh dear, your mom was really asked to NOT shop at all of those stores?
OMG Jazzy, did you eat all that? And what do they put on the elote, he looks good.
BabyGirl, so glad to hear things are beginning to look up. That is what I tell my son every day....one day at a time. Just ooking at those crunchy tacos must hurt your throat!
As for my son, I think they were going to release him today, however he is supposed to call the rehab place to get an accessment, but he can't do that until tomorrow. So we are hoping they keep him, so he can go straight from the hospital into rehab. He sounds good and said he even looks better. They have him off IV's, but he still hooked up to EKG and getting Ativan and maybe something else. I made some baked Ziti yesterday, 9x13 casserole dish and I think we ate a fifth of it. It does freeze/reheat well, so that is what I'm doing with most of the rest of it. Going back to Windsor Valley, that's what the POA community is called where the other warehouse his. Not taking anything, just going to put prices on the things we have there already. But I think we probably have 80% there.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Sunday Funday! Another beautiful sunny day here breaking here. The squirrel is out teasing Sadie, who is just dancing around and barking and chasing it back and forth along the fence. How that fat old thing can move so fast amazes me. I'm just sitting here watching and drinking my coffee. Just saw a news item on COVID-19, the disease caused by the new corona virus. The CDC is estimating a 1 to 3% mortality rate.Flu is 0.1%. Except that they don't really know how many people have been exposed or who have no symptoms or very mild symptoms. Add those people in and the mortality rate will drop.SARS mortality rate is 9.6%,, MERS is 34.4%, those are caused by other viruses in the Coronavirus family. COVID-19 is scary in how fast it's spreading, and how it's gotten to people who have no known contact, but it will probably be no more deadly than the flu when all is said and done. It does point out how helpless we are to stop a virus. But how on earth do you stop something that may be contagious for up to 14 days before someone feels sick? Talk about closing the barn door after the horse gets out!
FYI, the 2 best things you can do to protect yourself from flu, colds, COVID-19, or any other viral disease is to humidify the air and wash your hands often. Viruses love dry air, humidity in the air helps kill them off, and hand washing, well, you know the drill!
Celia--I learned typing in high school on an electric, but used a manual at home and in college. I used to type other people's papers for them for spending money. It was hard to type the papers and not correct the grammar and punctuation. I couldn't help correcting the spelling most of the time. I can still pull off a pretty fast, accurate rate if I concentrate. Do you ever go to one of those sites that measures your words per minute? I do once in a while just for fun.I just got a WPM of 72 taking the 1 minute Wizard of Oz text here: https://www.typingtest.com/select.html
Cammy Cat--40 words per minute? That's more like my speed when I'm at work than when I'm just playing around. Ok, Mom has never gotten a letter asking her to stay out of any stores. If Mom doesn't like the way she is treated at a store she never goes back.
Jazzy--Looking back I can see how my drinking habits have changed over the years, and my circle of friends has changed as well. Life is ongoing change, isn't it? I bet the distillery tour was great fun! It's amazing how many distilleries are popping up.Nice snag on the tickets. Ticketmaster seems to be a pretty decent site as far as the additional fees thing goes. My, those tacos look lovely!
Hug, Illi!
Cammy Cat--has Lent started? That one always seem to sneak up on me. Probably cuz I didn't really learn much about Lent until I was an adult. And Daylight Saving Time begins a week from today. Not looking forward to the springing forward. It's been nice not getting up in the total darkness recently.
Goldie--It's hard to tell with Mom if she's really doing anything right now or if it's all talk. She's been talking about making some kind of change for years, literally, and has been looking at houses and other options off and on for years. The difference is the very notable decline in Dick's memory and mobility. I don't believe he could live alone at this point, so Mom's presence is the only reason his kids haven't moved him to an assisted living setting. I don't believe he'd qualify for a nursing home yet. If/When it gets to the point that Mom can't take care of him with his kids help at home (they are helping quite a lot, now) is when I expect the you-know-what to hit the fan. The really scary thing is that Dick is still driving, and his car is all banged up from running into things like trees, cement steps, etc. He knocked the side mirror off Mom's car backing it into the garage the other day. Mom won't ride with him anymore, but he still drives on the main road to town almost every day. The Aunt that would take Sadie is the one that died a couple years ago. But, I know a couple people who house and dog sit, so I think I can find something better than a kennel for Sadie next time I take a trip. Wow, that sweet corn cocktail sounds totally awesome!I only had to look up 2 ingredients!

Jazzy - LOVE it. Sent it to my son, who said I should be using a shower chair and not safety bars.

Good morning girls, raining cats and dogs here, weather has been cray cray, 20's on Friday with snow, 50's yesterday with wind and now a typhoon! Bargained with my DH last night that he got the morning shift of dog walking, gonna be pulling out the pooch raincoats. Hopefully it will be done by my 4:00 shift. This is my big day, SSI at 9, Seidman Cancer Center at 11:30 for my injections and cardiologist at 1:30, Woohoo, I know how to have a good time!
Cami, in answer to your question, I am a terrible typist. I took typing my 1st semester of my senior year so I know how to use all my fingers but I still have to watch them on the letters after all these years. I know I was really crazy long winded in my last post but it took me a long time. Learned on a manual typewriter. I'm glad to be back too, shouldn't have left for so long but it was how I "let go" of cancer for awhile. No "letting go" now so I'm back for good. Wow, I would not have wanted to rub your mom the wrong way, and no offense but I suspect I wouldn't have wanted to be her hairdresser!
Lori, I sure hope your son can getted checked into rehab straight from the hospital. How's his attitude? Does he WANT to get sober? The garage sale sounds like quite the endeavor, do you do it every year?
Ya know what girls, I'm going to have to jump in the shower and come back later, got a busy day.. have to leave here in a hour... love to all... till later

NM, indeed some scary chit re this virus. And of course the stock market as well. DH hasn't even looked at ours. I'll have to revisit that typing test site. I'm not too bad, but I generally make a lot of mistakes. Oh my, Dick's driving and accidents. Can't his license be taken away some how. There needs to be a law for that. He's going to hurt himself or someone else. I'm so glad my mom agreed that she should quit driving and the same with my MIL. Glad to hear that his kids are helping. As for that drink with the corn, my thoughts are different than yours!
Jazzy, pretty awesome photo. Is it a reflection in a puddle?
Mary, knowing how to have a good time....lol. Maybe that's how we should refer to things now, when we have appts or whatever. Never had a sale before, hence 20 years of stuff. Driving there one way is at least 40 minutes!.
My son's attitude is great, and yes he wants to go. We won't know anything until later today. He was still in the hospital yesterday, mainly due to the fact that his arm was swollen. All the IV saline was just going into his skin, and anything else they may have put in there. I got my labs back, markers are down just a tiny bit, but I'll take it. Blood counts are starting to drop and I need to start on iron and folic acid to help with other issues. Yesterday was a big D day, so I need to drink more water.

Mornin' ladies,
Yep it's Monday, Lori praying that ur son transitioned well out of the hospital and now into rehab. As long as he wants to go that's a big step.I didn't know his father was having such a hard time with u after all this time. But let's face it now it's all about ur son anyway, but it is good u 2 can now talk. Let us know. And yes I cheated in HS Lori, the Brazil girl just let me and we sat in the back, at 15 it came natural to me then. I mean when was I ever going to use Spanish in America, right. And again yes my mom got at least 3 or 4 letters from from different stores asking her not to shop there, but she did anyway when she felt like it. My mom was tough when it came to shopping but she was so sweet in her other personality. My mom and her sister were 2 of the craziest women and just plain fun.
Jazzy funny bar and beautiful sunset.
Kim the virus is so scary. Every so often something gets traction and is contagious and dangerous. It's like the universe has this all planned out. Thruout the ages even. But u'd think now it would be figured out very quickly but it isn't. Jeez Kim I didn't think Dick was still driving at this point. That's a hard thing to give up, it's ur freedom but good ur mom doesn''t drive with him and always hoping he doesnt hurt himself or anyone. It's good to hear that his kids are helping out. I think I should take that typing test today to see how I improved over the years.
Oh I fell asleep again, chit I have to get moving I'll be back
LUBS U ALL

Happy Tuesday! The Sarasota sun is shining brightly, with a not too chilly breeze blowing, so much nicer that the cold and snow they are having back home! Our visit is going great, DH is doing small, fix up jobs for the 'kids' here, and we are helping with the meals, going beach walking and all in all, enjoying! My dad is off the Montreal to visit with my 1 sister who still lives there, so that will be a nice change for both of them! I have 3 sisters, and the youngest one lives near dad in Brunswick - she is on a 2 day business trip to Montreal so brought dad along - such a nice, and much needed change for him! then the one in Monreal and one lives in Frostproof, FL so she gets down monthly to see dad which is going to be good for the next while...
genny - I am hoping you have a long, healing run with the Ibrance and Ful, - yes indeed more than 2 years stable is awesome and I pray for much more stable time!
goldie - the virus is indeed scary and now close to us (Manatee) ugh! And the stock market is another scary situation, but that will correct itself when they find out the vaccine for the virus (RIGHT??!!). I pray for your son, it is such a long, worrisome time for everybody, I know, as we experienced that with one of our adult sons who is doing fine many years later, so stay positive!
NM - How is Sadie?? I feel remiss and ask that she get an extra belly rub and tickle please! And yes Lent has started
jazzy - what wonderful photos, the elotes look totally yummy! Hope your new project goes well, always happy when I hear you have one project following another - apprently it helps keep you young and fresh
cami - your mom sounds like the 'shopper shops don't want' - too funny (but not really I guess?!).
illi - glad to see you are getting there, hopefully able to really eat sooner than later.
Well I am off to bask for a bit, enjoy the day, stay warm, Cheers!
