    Oh Dorothy,

I am so sorry, but at least the infection is under control now.  I can't imagine how painful this all must be.  At least you have DH to snuggle up to.

I am sure he will pay great attention to you no matter what.

You WILL get to wear your blouses.  Just not as soon as you had thought.  I just got in from a chilly wind, and summer blouses are the last thing on my mind right now.

But I can only imagine your frustration right now. - Claire

Just started on this site. You guys are amazing. Soooo funny. I have always been worried about drinking since this diagnosis and really have been pretty moderate in my wine consumption. HOWEVER sat night had about 6-7 glasses of wine whoops! and lots of dancing yahoo.

I have to get over this feeling that now because I did that somehow I screwed things up, worried about drinking so much in one night. Dont think I would do that again maybe just one or  two from now on. Thanks you girls for your wonderful comments Lois

Hi Lois and welcome to the HOT TATTIES LOUNGE!  HTL for short.  Glad you could join us, we have a wine bar, a coffee lounge, a chapel for the days we need a little uplifting, a swimming pool with a swim up bar, a deck with comfy hamocks and recenlty a lovely reading room was added.  On Sundays, the boys set us up with a wonderful smorgasboard where we can eat as much as we like as everything is totally calorie free.  For days with pain, (of any sort), we have the fukitol fountain. So come on in and join the par-tay!!!

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Hi Lois, Pull up a barstool and tell us about yourself! Glad you decided to join us, this is a mahvelous place to relax and chill.

Dorothy. So glad Chrissy was able to help you so much! She did the same for me a few days ago...what an angel! Think she'll agree to be our HTL shrink? We'd keep her awfully busy; that would be quite a job! Hope you are doing okay, and darn it I wish that pain would just get up and LEAVE! Wishing you a good nights sleep, with no pain.

Beans, where are you? We need you here more often!

HD good to see you again! I know how that is, I  mostly just use the netbook now, and at first I was all thumbs. Prob is that the screen is so small, that its even harder to try to keep up with all the posts here. We are due for a nice gossip session....LOL.

We got to see the baby, and OMG he is one of the most beautiful babies I have seen...with a c-sec the head does not get misshapen, but even his features were perfect. His parents have been married for 18 yrs...upper 30's, and have wanted a baby for sooooo long. Then we went out for a nice dinner with some beer...Blue Moon for DH and Miller Lite for me....thought of you, Junie!

Hoping all you chicas are enjoying the evening....BARMEN!

    TITZ UP! DILLIGAF?

Welcome Lois nice to have you aboard great to have more company here at the lounge.

Hi Kathy coming over to cheers with you and DH Smile

I had a friend come over today and bring me some homemade cheesecake was so sweet of her but kind of defeats my exercising on the bike lol oh well it was well worth the treat and great company.

    Hi Lois,

No, you did NOT screw things up.  A lady has to party sometimes.  As long as you got home safely (hope you weren't driving) and no worse the wear other than needing aspirin/coffee, all should be fine.  Life is for the living, which is what this thread is really about.

Me....after that indulgent lunch, can't believe I was starving by dinnertime.  True, I had a long walk, but I ate leftovers from the past couple of nights, and had some red wine.

Kymm......would have polished that cheesecake if it had been near me.  So glad you did the deed for all of us.

At least I have the champagne for later in the week.

    Night all..... - Claire

Dorothy.....hope you are feeling a little better tonight and you aren't as sore.....So glad that Dr, Kymn was able to offer you her sofa for a little TLC and therapy. Laughing

Kymn...how are you feeling?  How many days since the chemo?  How's the head feeling since you got shaved?

Lois....welcome...5 or 6 glasses in one night would have me on the floor....3 or 4 is about all I can do....wow...never imagined I would be talking about how much wine I can drink at this old age....college yes...but middle age old lady!!!  Heck yeah.....got to have fun some how

HD....glad to see a post from you

Wahine.....love the smell of new babies....

Claire....drinking during the day always gave me headaches, even when I was young...so nice that your luncheon went well

    Chrissy.....how are things by you?

Junie....are you by yourself these couple days?  When is hubby going to meet with the tax lady?

NM....don't remember seeing a post by you today?

    Gail....how are things in CA

DD got her contacts today....she was sooo happy that she could get them in and wear them for a few hours, but she had trouble getting one out.....I'm no help as I've never worn contacts and have no desire to do so....Her new glasses were also ready, but not at teh same time....fortunately, the eye glass place is around the corner from our house....

Got a summons for jury duty tomorrow....debated about asking for a postponement since it was spring break, but decided it would be worse to get called for jury duty during a planned summer vacation trip....well I got lucky.....My juror # is not one of the ones needed for tomorrow, so I have served my duty for another year :)

Stanzie....I have thought many times that I'm lucky that my two girls are not teenagers at the same time.....and now we me being post menopausal only one person will have raging hormones in the house!!! but that doesn't mean that I'm not crazy!!

Jaybird.....didn't know you were in Moscow....I think it was you who mentioned PInkstock....have you attended one?  I think the 1st one was the largest crowd..

    Hopefully I haven't left anyone out...Wishing everyone sweet dreams.....Karen

Hi girls! Hard to stay caught up when I log on after 11 pm! Welcome Lois, I am new to the bar as well. I will start my 2nd treatment Friday (Taxol/Cytoxan). I am in a clinical trial of DD therapy every two weeks for six rounds. Kymn and I started the same day. I am so nervous for the first hair to fall, which I expect to be in the next 2-4 days. But I have wig ready. Just need someone to do the shaving. A friend from church who used to cut hair says she will come over any time, or my own stylist. But I can't see going to shop unless after hours; I want them to come here. I don't even have shears or whatever it is one uses! I am going to need several rounds to get me through this...a Bailey's isn't gonna be enough I'm afraid. But knowing how well Kymn did gives me hope. That and a wig ready to throw on the minute the hair comes off!

Dorothy, hope you are feeling better by this evening. What a terrible thing to endure. Wishing you less pain and more healing. Work tomorrow, so must get to bed now.

Wow, Kymn, you are so beautiful even without hair, you were it well. Your face is so feminine and attractive,  I loved seeing your big smile for the camera. I love seeing photos of my friends. I was disappointed last night when I could not see the pics and am glad that Kathy was able to help. I think you deserve that princess hat and also a sash saying "Miss Loungette 2011", you are one beautiful gal. As Chrissy said, your beauty is both inside and out but gosh, you are striking! Keep the faith, love.

I had a rough night which is no surprise. I forgot how much the blasted drains hurt, I should be used to them by now. I am going to return to work before they come out. I was thinking that I could take it out myself when the drainage stops. I have watched the docs and nurses do it so many times and think I could do it. IF it ticks me off enough, don't be surprised if I just do it. I told DH last night about that thought and he was mortified that I would think such a thing. I just hate that so much. I wish I had saved the little pain pump pouch to store them while I work. I could tick off my coworkers and let it hang out lol. And funny thing, I still have cleavage, yay! It is just skin but it is in a good place. Once the pain diminishes, I will figure out how to hide the no boob side. It is already shrivleing up. I will also start massaging the area, it is amazing how I can get the shriveled skin back to elastic. As Chrissy told me, skin is resilient. Love you Chrissy, thanks again for talking to me and being here for me.

NM, are you alright? I know Tuesday's are usually the day you disappear, hope all is well in Mainerville.

Well I am off to the fukitol fountain and have already hit the percotini fountain. Then to the pool where I can lounge on the hammock.  ahhhhhhhh, life is good.  And Kymn, I will try to join you this evening for a drink - glad you are able to endulge. I behaved yesterday but did not feel like drinking. Who else is in?

Claire, and the rest of you gals, thanks again for the very kind words. I really want to switch gear and get of the subject of me me me but for now, I am sending hugz and rounds of drinks.

And welcome to the new gals, Please don't leave us, we take it personally and love having new breast friends to drink with. Sending lots of love to each and everyone of you.

I will be back, in the meantime, have a wonderful day.

Good early morning Dorothy! I've been up since 5, still can't sleep well having to sleep on my back, reclining on pillows. BUT yesterday the steri-tape was starting to come off, so (after calling nurse) I pulled the rest of it off. Each side has a 7" incision, and it has already healed! Still can't do everything I want to do, but able to do a lot more than I thought I would be able to do at this point. But Dorothy, I hate it that you have that darn drain! That was the worst thing I remember  from past surgeries. I know how upset you are about it, and you are entitled to hate the darn thing. So sorry that you had such a rough night; I could have kept you company had I known you were up too! Well, joining you at the fukitol fountain, and you can rant all you want!!! Hoping for a much better day for you, today. And yes, you and the others are so right, our Kymn is just a beautiful person, inside and out. Not many of us could pull off the bald look as well as she can!

Hope everyone will have a good day today. Where is everyone? Lots of regulars have not shown up lately, and are very missed!!!!

WooHoo, Just noticed you are here too Chrissy! Nice to be able to chat and drink with you both. Oh we are starting early here in the US this morning (6:45 am Tues CST), what time is it there Chrissy? I almost said the same thing you did...was going to put TITZ UP for Dorothy too! LOL. Great minds think alike!

awww, Kathy, sorry you are still having issues with sleeping. I can usually sleep quite well but it is going to be awhile for me too.

Chrissy, the heavens look beautiful today, glad to have your company. And the hammock is so comfy espcially surrounded by such lovely ladies and the most delish coffee and hot men. Speaking of, my doc had another really cute resident with him yesterday. He looked about 18 years old though. My doc scolded me for inviting him here for some swimming in the buff. lol.

Kymn - I'm really very serious - you look beautiful! I will admit some people are not quite as lovely without hair but you really are. "Knock on wood " I didn't have chemo and I would definately have been one of the not so lovely- as for one thing having a very odd mis-shapen head as my Mother admits she would leave me in the baby carrier on top of the washing machine for hours on end while trying to deal with my wild older sister who was a " very mischievious" child. So the back of my head is quite flat and with big ol round chipmunk cheeks not a good look. Anyway, you look lovely so get the treatment behind you and stand proud and beautiful as you are!

Hi to Lois and again to Husker! Always nice to see new faces and remember all the drinks and foods at the HTL are cyber non-hangover producing and no calories.... Now if we were having dinner at Claire's we would all have to waddle and stagger home or at least to the sofa. I vote Claire our resident gormet! Now that we have a shrink why not a Gormet too! Oh and of course our Nurse and humor cartoonist/ pictures producer, Our foreign language teacher Beanglish! our radiation protector and foil guru, Our traveling travel agent, ummmm, of course our one and only CPA and of course our lovely jack of all trades. Sorry couldn't get everyone in as I'm late for my apt and my brain only goes so far...... I know you all understand. And AcK what happened to spring? 44 degrees is NOT spring!!!!

Kathy, it's Tuesday night not Wednesday......

Not having any issues lovely...the other story was the fact that BS and PS don't tend to want to work together here and so one told me one thing and the other totally said the opposite mean while, I would have chosen differently had I known.....but that is all water under the bridge and seven year old news....lol  I'm just an old duck with one hung low and a perky free standing silicone one when I want to go out.....lol.......................Yes indeed!!!!!!  you have been a baaaaaaad gal.........but only if you don't think of me when you go to the performing arts!!!!

Guess my feeble mind is only good for shopping, this early in the morn! Sure, I will think of you...it is a very diverse arts center, so will have lots to choose from. Sawwry you had not so great results yrs ago, but hey, we are here, and breathing, so lots to be thankful for too! AND you have the most positive, uplifting attitude of anyone, so I know you are not letting it bother you. Think Pants will bwing us another dwink, or will he think we have had toooo much????

Greetings to Moscow! Hi Jaybird. How sweet our little to want to buy her mommy a race car, that is too sweet. She is at such a fun age, from now until those wonderful teen years!  I also agree with Dr. Janis "The Rebel"!

Kymn, that is so sweet of you to do a countdown with Dorothy, and a great idea.

HD, you just need a good Bitch Slap, you've been away too long! But I'll take the bigger beers.

Dorothy, you are just one awesome chica and you know we are all here with you.

Kathy, I can smell that baby on you! Nothing more precious than a baby. Both of my kids were c-sections, and yes, nice round little heads. My daughter was gorgeous, my son not so much. We tease him how he looked like Uncle Fester! Look at Kymn's gorgeous smile? How about look at Kymns gorgeous everything! But of course we all knew you would be.

Karen, you left me out! LOL, quite ok though. There really are lots of us here, I'm just giving you a hard time. You may have forgotten someone else too, I'm not sure. Hard to keep up with everyone here! I remember when I first got contacts and couldn't get them out. It is a bit scary, but she will get the hang of it soon.

Chrissy, glad your shoulder is doing well. You must be in awe, not to be in pain.

Husker, I too like Baileys, but like a duck fart even better. It's Baileys with some crown royal in it, you could give that a try!

Stanzie, you are being WAY too hard on yourself. You are a beautiful woman too, we have seen you!

NM, hope all is well with you and you are just busy. I'm thinking I might be bumping into you during my post.

    Almost forgot, welcome Lois!

Lets have 2 for 2zday! Think I'll make mine Duck Farts.

    Good Morning Ladies,

Well I have to start off saying thank you so much to all of you who commented on my baldness, Karen,Chrissy,Dorothy,Kathy Stanzie and Goldie you all have made me blush several times over. I guess I need to look at things differently and see them through other peoples eyes. I love all of you too, and am so thankful to have you all I wish I could properly express what I am feeling inside but alas, words fail me.so just know I appreciate each and every one of you.Thank you.

Kathy that is great to hear that the incisions have already healed wow our bodies are amzing arent they what we put them through and they just keep bouncing back.

Dorothy so sorry you had rough night, maybe a couple tonight will help you sleep I knonw it always helps me.

Chrissy where in Australia to do you live?

Goldie both of my babies were C section too they were so beautiful I love looking back on pictures of them. My first, my boy, I was in labour for 4 days!!!! not even kidding, they thought I was in false labour turns out my body doesnt dialate so they were waiting for something that wasnt going to happen, so I spiked a hgih fever, Derek ended up in ICU for 5 days and now he has ADHD with asperger tendancies...coincidence???HMMMM So with my daughter I just planned the Csection much better way to go lol.

Ok ladies will chat more later I am at work and must get at it

Hugs and Love to you all and again thank you for making me feel so much better about my bald head I will try and embrase it,really what choice do I have at this point lol this is my look for the next year

    hugs Kymn
