Was looking over my breast admiring how nicely the biopsy incision had healed near my nipple, and then got myself all worked up because the incision at about 9:30 was more evident and even has some scar tissue underneath making a hard little lump...........................then I realized .........."umm HELLO Cindy, they are all going to be gone soon so why are you worried bout it?"

Good morning, Loungettes! Pretty, sunny morning here, the sun is throwing rainbows through the crystals in my east facing window, so pretty! Rearranged the living room yesterday and have more room in the "office" corner, have to wait and see how Sadie adjusts to having her crate moved. I'm sure she'll adapt pretty well, she's a sharp cookie!
Goldie-can I come celebrate with you and DorK? I LOVE Olive Garden and have a gift card I'll share! Yeah, that dream was a bit out there, but I have them like that sometimes. I think it's the beginnings of anxiety about the sinus surgery coming up in 24 days. Not that I'm counting. I've started the relaxation and healing CD's I have to help get my mind in the right place. And the only reason my Mom is getting her valve issue checked out is because she wants to have her shoulders replaced and the orthopedic doc won't do it until she is cleared by the cardiologist, who won't clear her without the tests. I'm just afraid she's going to end up having open heart surgery to repair the valves and never really recover. I've seen that so many times when people in their 70's have open heart surgery. Mom is 74. Hmm, wonder if that is factoring into the funky dream thing? Thanks for the acronym explanation, now that I read it I think I've heard my friend with a special needs boy talk about his Individual Education Plan. You are just a fount of knowledge!
DorK-Oh, my, another horrific night? I do hope you have correctly identified the drug in question and can get it out of your system quickly. I know many drugs, especially blood pressure drugs, can cause horrid dreams and hallucinations, as can some of the drugs used for sleep. HOORAY for successful elbow surgery! I am so happy for you! Keep up with the nice PT lady's instructions and you will be 110% in the end! And Great pics!
Wahine-I am so jealous of you going to Ireland. That's one of the places I would love to see someday. Watch out for that wind, it can be problematic! It would be too cool if you and Jaybird end up on the same flight, wonder what the odds are?

DorK-Don't worry about the pics, size is only a temporary problems. When my pics are too big I right click on the pic, click on "image properties" and change the size. 500 x 500 or 600 x 600 works pretty well.

Cindy, Soooo funny, but totally understandable. One thing I did was take "before" pics, and am glad I did, as I would have remembered my boobs being much perkier than they were! So, my recon is a definate improvement! Downside is the loss of sensation, so enjoy that part while you have it! But not having to wear a bra......priceless! (I did the nip tattoos, so no nip bumps to worry about).

Oh DorK, so sawry about the hallucinations and bad dreams. Sure hope it's the drug you think it is and it stops. As for a cure, I often wonder about that, same for other diseases that put people on medication for life, as there is no cure, only drugs. Can you imagine all the money that the pharmaceutical companies would lose if they found cures? (just sayin) Good news to hear you are doing good from the surgery and that it is looking successful. TieDye, good to hear good news! Where in Cali are you? I am about to cross into there as I type. Heading to Oceanside. I too am a brewski goyle. As for advice on chemo, it might depend on which cocktail you get. But definitely drink tons of water and make sure to get plenty of protein. Way cool that your BF is a chef, but would that be Best Friend or Boy Friend? Glad you were able to laugh at yourself, you have a lot to deal with coming up, and we will be here to help and hold you up Cindy. I promise.

As for the IEP, I too worked with special needs kids for about 15 years, and was often involved with my students IEP's. I also did respite care for several of my students, keeping them on weekends. Hi ladies, and they were doing so well - took my top off at the clinic today along with a huge layer of skin. Now have a care sheet entitled Patient Instructions on Wound Care - you are experiencing an acute radiation skin reaction in the treatment area. Skin is quite fragile at this time

I will be better after the pre-op stuff on the 21st, I think. I hope. Once they get the IV started I'll be fine, but I will want all of you in my pocket to slip goodies into my IV line once it's running!
Bernie-don't you love how the patient instructions often state the obvious! At least they admit what is going on with you there. Hoping you heal up quick without any complications!

She was very loved on the boards, her name was Nicki, and I did not know her, but by reading just one page of posts, it is obvious she will really be missed. I am so sorry about Nicki. The sad truth is that not all of us make it. I have been scared to death about Main Squeeze, but he is doing really well with the chemo. Caught up this week. I am now once again convinced he will be fine. Some other basic needs are fine too
I have been buried with work, but that is more than fine too. Stuff that is paid. Letting go some things that did not work out. So relieved as I now see the hours of good work I did for little return. O well. I did try, and just didn't have the connections. Much more that than a skill set issue.
Hope you liked the brats DorK. Just delish with kale and roasted carrots. Still waiting for my pear in brandy to finish poaching. Will have with leftover clotted cream.
Cycling in the AM. I finally realized that if I do my weights/crunches routine weekdays, walk 10 miles weekly, and cycle 60 on the weekends (or equivalent skiing) I slowly lose weight. So that is the plan going forward. I don't get a gut either.
And yes, dinner with good wine. Broke open a good bottle the other day. Really, really enjoyed it tonight.
Miss all of you. May join you for a bit of "Vif" in the bar. So more of what I drank at the Wine Bar recently when on special. Was beyond delish. - Claire
