Kymn, that is awesome news. But......... Yell Yell who in the HELL does he think he is, trying to blame you for what has gone wrong in his life? Yell Yell OMG, that just has me steaming. (to that DAH - "A$$HOLE")

Lori, Her exDH, ratba$tard, DAH-A$$HOLE is acting typical. My ex blamed me for everything too...things he had totally done....he was beating me, he was having affairs, I was at home with the babies. When the phone would ring and someone would hang up, he blamed me that is was my "boyfriend". He later accused me of taking his things that he couldn't find. Like I would have wanted them????  So Kymn's ex of course could not think "he" could be responsible for anything wrong in his life....gotta have someone else to blame it on. SO nice that now Kymn is seeing him for who he really is, and I doubt he will be able to "con" her anymore! Love your comment about the "buns" with coffee....LOL!!!!

Gotta quit walking by the puter....no time to keep checking in, but with so much activity, it is too easy to get pages behind! Signing off for real for awhile at least!!!

Karen - My Dad was in a senior living center (not assisted living) for a few years when his own home became too much for him. It was great while he was still able as they cleaned, and had meals and all kinds of activities and bus trips, they were really good to him and it was great while it lasted. When he got older and had more needs I had a few horrible experiences trying to find assisted living. One place I took my Dad, the person who showed us around kept talking about my Dad as if he weren't there and as if his mind was gone, which it wasn't. (It was a newer place and was all decorated in 50's era, which was also not a fit for my Dad who was an older generation and he loved classical music.) My Dad was so upset after the visit to this place and their incredible insensitivity, it was really upsetting. Then we found another place real close to my brother's house and everything seemed a go so I moved him there. I don't know what all happened, but it turned out they were not treating him well and he ended up running away and he got hurt in the process. The police found him and we got him back home. He was early 90's at this time. It was so awful. I kept making trips from Washington to California to take care of him. My sibs all worked full-time and since I'm self-employed a lot of the moving and looking I took care of as my schedule was more flexible. Anyway, I asked Dad if he wanted to look at more places with me, which he did want to. So we visited several others where the people were super nice and treated him with respect. We found a place near to one of my sisters and I got him all moved in there. Although it was very nice and they treated him well, he was miserable. I had asked him if he wanted to move in with me in Washington and he was thinking about it, but he hated the cold, plus all my fam is in Cali so they would have a hard time visiting him. Eventually my brother made arrangements for him to move into his house and he got a full time care-giver. My Dad was so grateful. He just loved it as it felt like home for him. I know it was difficult for my brother, but he also loved Dad being there and so did his kids. Having parents move in is not always the best thing and is not always possible. There are some good facilities and bad ones and I just wanted to share in this nutshell that we had numerous emergencies and it was an extremely difficult time for my sibs and me and my Dad. I could tell you a lot more, but I just so wish the best for you and your family. I miss my Dad so much and just hope I did all I could to make him as comfortable as possible. I really do sympathize with what you are going through and totally understand why you would have a head ache and stomach ache.

Oh, I so hope you can get the pics of you and Chrissy posted.

Wahine - Great idea to stop in those assisted living facilities unannounced. That is so weird about your cuz emailing to remind you about mammograms, sometimes, I just don't know WTF people think. Hey, is it the MAGIC PARTY BUS? Me foiget too. Yes we'll get all small and tiny so we can be with Allison and make sure everything goes poyfect. I can't wait to get all small and dwunk - hic!

Tiedye - So glad you like your surgeon! I had genetic counseling and testing too and the lymph node biopsy and chemo...I had one lumpectomy on one boob and two lumpectomies on the other boob, so like an old jalopy, I'm dented up and have headlights that point in different directions - ha ha ha! Also had the complete axillary lymph node dissection. And rads, now on the tammy train...as NM says, so far I've survived bc treatment! We are blessed with you visiting the lounge! So nice to meet you!

    car

Dofey-Dot - There are other great threads, but I always feel free here to let it all hang out. I rully appreciate being able to rant and rave and be super goofy too. I love how much fun all you loungettes are even in the face of a lotta crap and $h*t. I so agree it's a lot more fun packing the bus with you...you seem to get those tenders movin! Ooooo and we get an extr twiler full of likker this time, I'm on the bus! Yahoo!

Bernie - Hurray to a great nights sleep and not sore!

Juliet - What is a rattler? Is it a kind of beer? Anything like Dog Beer? Rattler Beer? Oooo sounds fun.

Mrs Vino - Yup, the bus is all ready and we're all getting small and dwunk! Will be on board to make sure everything goes smooooooooooooooth like JD! Just read your scale story at the oncologist's - way to go! I'm so glad you took control and just said no! What a fantastic story, thanks for sharing..I hate that too they always weigh you with all your clothes on and shoes or boots and they will also let you hang onto your purse which can add a lot...I mean what good are those numbers really? Good job! So funny, what wahine sez, us galz have balls!

Scuby - Your massage sounds really nice...amazing you found someone who was good to you...I'm still trying to find a dentist and assistants who don't look at me like I have two heads and treat me like a freak cuz I had bc. Good advice to take me time!

Goldie - You are super magic to go east and west at the same time...can you share your secret? Is is something you dwink?

     drink me

As for dis thwead, there was something in the simple line "how about drinking" that just put a smile on my face in the midst of a big pile of S. So you think it's THE MAGIC PARTY BUS too?? Oh good, the video!! As for Bigfoot, well, I'm thinking since I saw some coyotes on the road that maybe it wasn't Bigfoot. Sheesh, still looking though.

Kymn - You sound so good, keep moving forward, that is great! It is so hard to go from lover to enemy, just such a weird thing to happen. I really admire you protecting yourself and your kids.

Well, I'm off for another exciting day. Hope you all have as much fun as me...weeeeeeeeeeeee!

Hi everyone, still struggling with all the names.  Will make up a spreadsheet to help me catch up.

Love my new car -  2006 Saab 93 sport saloon ( i love sports type cars) with turbo but can i drive it . NO.  B******* in clinic decided to do a final realignment today.  Brace yourselves ladies.  An hour on the table, freezing cold, arm and neck in a torture positions.  Removed old markers along with attached skin.  Same with burn dressings.  Could have killed them everytime they said sorry just a little while longer.

Darling hubby bought me a VAT of red and a new pair of shoes.

    Still sulking.

Quick pop-in because I am being a good citizen and am attenting a town hall meeting via teleconference.  I am tiptoeing out for a minute to have a dwinky, shhhhhh. The BIG question on our town ballot is yay or nay to the sale of likker at fine dining restaurants including in a shopping mall.  The mall is struggling as people like me go across the street to another town to dwink! Gotta run, it is Q&A time, me haz a question. we looze the right for booze, my people will be visiting the naysayers. I will be back later.  CheerZ!

It's about time I bellied up to the bar! I need a strong cocktail. I just endured Chuck E Cheese with Avery, and then she had a meltdown when I insisted we leave. (it was a classmates 6th b-day) I was actually wanting a cocktail there to wash off all the kid germs. Ick! (lol) Sometimes me thinks me's too old for this motherhood stuff.

Been busy of course. Working WAY too much, and Avery keeps me busy when I'm home as does the house/yard and also the dogs. No rest for the wicked, eh? Avery and I were both witches for Halloween which was actually kind of cute if I do say so myself. :)

I'll be posting some pics on Facebook as soon as I find the time to do so. (I need to concentrate on that task which isn't always  easy since I seen to be sleep deprived most days when I am home.

It's always good to 'see' new peeps here - welcome, from an oldbie. Have a drink on me!

Am having some scotch tonight that I brought back from Ireland. I swear they just don't let the good stuff out of there to the mainstream liquor stores. The same is true of the good French wines. I am SO happy that I can bring back this stuff and enjoy it at home. (don't be jealous, I deserve it - lol)

I hope everyone I 'know' is well. I just can't take all the bad news so am here infrequently but I do check in occasionally. I think of Junie often and hope her spirit is soaring in great places. Another bc.org 'friend' is on her final journey which is a painful reminder that I, too, could be next. Please have a drink in her honour or say a prayer for her, she lives less than a mile from me.

Cheers to November, Thanksgiving is fastly approaching (my fave holiday) and it's time to share love and spread joy. Love to all my drinkin' buds past, present and future!

Jaybird is IN da lounge....yippee! Been long time so see. You are the gal that has been on this thread waaaay b4 any of the rest of us, so its wunnerful to have you drop back in! What type of scotch do you like from Ireland? We are going there on Saturday, and my mom is a scotch drinker. Did you know Bernie lives not too far from the Kilkenny castle? Yes, motherhood is hard, esp as we get older. I get worn out when we have the grandkids here, so couldn't imagine it being 24/7 anymore. So very sorry to hear about yet another bc.org gal losing the fight. Just unbelievably sad. *Raising my glass* in her honor, and will be thinking of you, too. So hard.

Beans, LOVED your long post....and all the funnies!!! You are da bweastest!

I agree Scuby, after seeing and hearing about everyone's weiner dogs, I have a new admiration for them! Can't wait to see the new pics of you and DorK.

Karen, would love to see the pics of you and Chrissy!

Too much to comment on, but luv and hugs to you all.....and getting ready to board The Magic Party Bus in the morning! I have a friend in VA having surgery tomorrow, too.

NM you are always so awesome but just in case, am going to throw in some extras! Yo God (yeah, I am from. Philly), there is this awesome Mom, Wife and person-in-general named Allison. Everybody loves her and needs you to have her in your hands tomorrow while she takes such a special and wonderful step on her journey. She is an awesome person and we on the HTL love her, although her family and puppies, need her more! Please hold her in your blessed hands tomorrow. We need her around for a long time, but her family needs her forever. Luv, the HTL

Wicked Wahine, <smile> my latest bottle is Greenore 8 year Irish Whiskey. Anthing that is NOT directly imported into the US is GOOD! (lol) It's not expensive. I've experimented over the years and this one is quite  pallitable, not too smokey or peety. They just need to ask the person at the duty free (or distillery) what isn't inported into the US. That's the good stuff! PM me if you need more info.

BTW, I guess I missed the post(s) about the partay bus? Where are we going? I am along for the ride, for sure! :)

Kathy, thanks for the friend 'toast', she truly is a good spirit.....

JAybirD in da house, yippeee! ~ burp~ oh, excuse me, dat slipped out. How old is Avery now? I know that you must really miss her honorary God Mommy. Really nice to see you again. I often think of names of people who i have not seen and wonder how they are.

As promised, I am back. de menting lasted nearly two hours, ended up layiing down and nealry fell asleep. sleeping in meatins is fwowd upon in me town. and I nearly wasted a bwand new dwinky. ya see, when I was laying down and tinking alot, got sleepy and dreamed I was I going on de campaign trail to get this likker thing in me town passed.

MemaSue,de ordinance is to BRING fine dining to town, good catch, me tinks me words came out wrong. The township is proposing adding six likker licenses at 1M each, of which four would go the mall. This mall is being crushed by another nearby mall that was recently "reborn" after  bringing in likker AND fine eateries.  That alone brought in a more affluent crowd which brought more affluent retailers which brought in revenue including addl tax $.  Seemz de rich town people in my town are looking to spend more money...a win win for me, my taxes go down & I have more $ for likker!  A lady was downing my fav places to eat - Appplebees andOlive Garden, how rude. I thought they WERE upscale lol. But I am just a poor girl stuck in a rich town. Sum people made me laugh at the  Q&A's. I recorded myself using webcam and did stumble a bit with my quesstion. Could go on but $hit, that is not why I am here. Or is it? I am going on the campaign trail to bring in da likker! who is voting YAY???

I will be back. Only simmed todeys posts. Still have to pack for me bus twip to KY, respond to a few emails that have been sitting and write back the bff of the friend whose funeral was today. But as the Arnold would say, I will be bock! Is anyone still here? Anyone staying up til tomorree wif me?

I am here.  Trying to catch up with everything and buried with work, or at least today.

Screwed up too.  Went out for a walk and had the wrong tea afterward.  Thought it was just spiced but was one of the "relaxing" blends.  Not what you need when you have to think.

    Lovely to have everyone here.

Back to work.  Did have a good dinner though.  And wine.  So perhaps to bed to get ready for the AM.

    Bye for now. - Claire

Hi girls!! Quick update: have an appt at 11:00 tomorrow for the axillary biopsy, after that hope to move forward with the treatment plan.  Oddly I haven't given much thought to what a positive lymph node biopsy would mean or how it may change things, think I'm just enjoying feeling safe with a treatment plan in place.

Was SOOO scared of breast biopsy and not excited bout this one but am feeling stroner and not so alone after finding you all.......I will stare at the ceiling and focus on you and the lounge tomorrow!!!! (and special thoughts for Mrs Vino :)!)

Video was awesome.....was the last thing I saw before leaving for work and had the song in my head all day!!!

Anyone still awake......raise your glass and join me in a toast..............here's to tomorrow and being here for each other no matter what it brings!!!

Mrs. Vino....will be with you tomorrow...the snow is gone so the bus shouldn't have any trouble getting me.....and I sure wish I could be an ICONS!!!

DorK and Chrissy....got your pm's.....not sure I will have time tomorrow, so it will have to wait till next week....

I'm packed...no matter how much I say I'll pack light and not taking too much, I always do....it all fits in the carry-on, but I have more than I need...I guess I just like having a choice between outfits....DH got out on time this morning, so that was good....I'm doing a health fair 9 - 1 tomorrow....need to leave about 7:30 to get there and set up...so should be back home around 2...time to do a couple errands before I have to pick up car pool....DD and I need to head out to the airport around 5...still trying to decide what to get for dinner....I like PeiWei but she doesn't...she likes...oh my...just blanking on the name...and they have a place in the airport so may just do that....its more than I want to spend, but oh well, whats money....but whatever it is, will pick to take to eat either in the terminal or on the plane...our flight is at 7:20 and we get in at midnight!!

Talked to Mom tonight....Dad's potassium is way high...there was a miscommunication somewhere as the last time he had blood drawn, it was low so they increased his potassium...it was a strange dose...not sure if Mom got it wrong or if they told her wrong...so today she had to get an Rx for Dad to lower his potassium...new blood draw tomorrow....Realizing how much Mom is in denial.....the past couple days have been decent, so she is ignoring the "real problem"....plus she hasn't made any phone calls cuz its only 2 sdays since I left and today dad the blood draw then she had to go get the Rx...I'm beginning to realize how much more she is struggling than I thought...will talk to her tomorrow....hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to make a couple calls in the afternoon or early morning while in the car.....

well, I just heard the dryer go off....think I'll go get the clothes out of the dryer and say sweet dreams...hoping to get here tomorrow, but won't have my computer with me over the week-end....Hugs, Karen
