Kathy, I am not understanding, why you used the seam ripper. NM sewed his kilt up, so his bum would show, she was not covering it up. You must have missed the picture.

    Good Evening Loungettes!

Moscow is cold and rainy, was wet snowy-rain earlier. I have stayed inside since we got here.

Happy B-Day (belated) to Scooby. (?)  Sorry, I just cannot keep up with all of you ladies. Undecided

I will be back in Moscow 3 times in December and I have 2 Brussels trips. I always bring back excellent (cheap!) French wine from Brussels so I am happy with my schedule. Warmer destinations would be better but a good paying job is better than no job so I go where I have to go and make the best of it. Too bad none of you ladies live in Russia or Belgium! (or not???) lol.

I promise to post some pics on Facebook as soon as I find the time to do so, likeon my vacation next week. Kathy needs to post our pic taken at JFK - I will cringe but am happy to share. Smile

Am off to finish my white Bordeaux and then am off to bed. (9 pm here)

    Cheers!

Oh Jaybird, that sucks about the wet, cold weather! Good thing you can get good likker and wine prices when you travel though. And maybe, just maybe, catch a glimpse of a good looking actor!

    Cheers!

Hi everyone, just coming up to wine time here.  Slainte.  Went out with mates last night to a benefit do at their local pub.  Fell asleep on the barstool - fell off the barstool.  Big panic from everyone.  Now have sore head and shoulder, don't you just love the ol' country pubs with the original stone floors.

Oh Bernie....OUCH!!!! Maybe its a good thing we don't have those nice old pubs with the stone floors, here. How scary....hope the soreness goes away soon! YEAH, I like the new pic...remember I rubbed the new hair growth on your head....that should make it grow even quicker...just kidding. Sounded like a good benefit, but was it a bit boring to cause you to fall asleep? Hoping it raised a lot of money!!! Enjoy some wine for me.... Slainte!

Hi kathy, was a great night, i just get so tired and it was 2 in the morning.  Nothing to do with the wine you understand.  Poker Classic in aid of the local school - my friends son has learning difficulties, so did my younger brother and one of his sons so a really good cause.  Dave won.

Shooot! Last night I thought I posted, but I musta pushed the "poof," button. After all da wodka, wum and whisky last night I musta made a mistake.

DorK - I wanted to say thanks for the sympathies and prayers and wodka and your din-din menu. Wabbits wuv wettuce and cawwots and chicken noodles!!! I think oysters are ugly too! I have a deal with me bod that I don't make it eat anything it tinks is ugly. Such nice words to Tiedye and I love your story about your last surgery and foil wrapped samiches. When you finish organizing your filing cab, could you come over and help me with these stupid boxes...I am still sorting thru sh*t if you can believe it and have gotten some stuff ready for donation this weekend. LOL at your dwink with a crouton that fell on the floor...you are so funny!

Tiedye - That would be so hard talking to your 9 year old. It was so hard for me last year talk to my fam. I was glad that I didn't have to tell my parents as they have both passed on. Hugs to you as you deal with all of this BC BS. DorK is right too, you are going to do great and it will get better. As for fishing, I've never really done gone fishing, but I love ALGAE (ha ha). My DH and I have talked about fishing, cuz in WA there are tons of lakes and streams.

Scuby - Really glad you had a fun day yesterday - Happy BD again!!! And many more!! And so glad we had lotta wodka and woooo hooo, love da DOTD ALGAE!!

Chrissy - Thanks for da sympathies...Happy BD to your GS's!! How funny them gittin older makes you feel older! Time just flies doesn't it? Good remedy, iPhone - LOL! Good luck using it!

Bernie - I'm jealous it's already wine time there! Love your new pic and I bet you are happy to see hair coming back. Thanks for da sympathies too and what a nice saying, another star in the sky. So what happened last night? You fell asleep and fell off your bar stool? Ouch on those stones, so sawwy bout the sore head and shoulder.

Juliet - I'm so glad Goldie got some chocolates for you, that goes goot wid algae!

Goldie - DorK didn't mention it was Mr Big who picked up the crouton, now I really get why she had no worries. Great drink too THE BIG SLEEP -  that will come in very handy for a lot of us!!! Thank you! BTW no worries about messes, after Pants mopped and sanitized DorK's he magically cleaned up here too. Sweet guy. Glad to get the kilt picture right!! LOL!

NM -good idea to hem it up.Wink

Mrs Vino - I'm blond with wed wodka eyes - tee hee!! J/K greeeeeen of course. To match my hair and teeth. J/K again...just green eyes and green beans. Can't wait to see your project, sounds really fun. Agreed too, LET'S PARTAY!!

Kathy - just LMAO about NM sewing up the kilt and you using a seam ripper to unsew it. And then NM actually was sewing it UP. LOL How neat your late DH was a JumpMaster and a Green Beret. I've heard that too that jumpers like to pack their own chute. I had thought of learning when I was in my 20's but never got around to it, then the idea was scary later. I have not parasailed either. My dad did a lot of scuba diving when I was a kid and he taught me to use his equipment in our swimming pool, that was so fun, but I've only been snorkeling in the ocean.

Jaybird - Good to hear from you and sawwy about da cold, but so glad you got a good job. I'm not on FB so darn would love to see the pics though. Hope you have a great vacation!! And the French wines and whit Bordeaux sound great!

Well, I had some tears last night for my friend and will be sending a card to his family. Seems these losses bring up other losses too. I do know he went straight to heaven. Super nice person who will be missed. Anyway, I really appreciate all the kind words you ladies have posted.

It's a beautiful sunny day today and I'm heading poolside for a jug of ALGAE and a BIG SLEEP and I gotta check out that kilt pic again!!! Cheers and Titz Up ~Beans

Happy day goils, Still enjoying de Scuby parTAY weekend.

Well it is after 5'oclock here so me tinks it is time for some Algae. Sounds so appealing.  Pondering my dinner menu for dis evening. It sure will not be as exciting as last nights as I surely will not be using my ornamental stove. Hmmmm...what to have???

Bernie, yikes, I hope your head is alright. You poor gal, you have been through so much. Love your new avatar, i can see those hairs growing back. Lori (Goldie) has hair pics on her profile showing just how quickly it will grow back. And congrats on getting new teeth. You will be one hot chicky!

Allison, my hair is brown, eyes are blue. I hope you are enjoying your day.

Beanie, wanna come for dinner? I promise not to serve oysters or brats. hehe. I am glad you are feeling better todey.

NM and Kathy, tanks for taking care of mr. big's quilt. You gals reminded me of something I have been wanting to due using a seam ripper and mission accomplished!! I have a pair of strech pants that I love but have gained a few pounds since i bought them and they looked like flood pants. So I took my seam ripper and took out the cuff on the bottom and walaaa, they fit poyfect.

My friend Stella is busy packing for her trip to Myrtle Beach. She hopes she is able to hack a wifi signal from a neighbor since mom and dad do not have wifi. If all else fails, i can keep in touch using my parents computer.

Beans, I will have the mini and you know I have a hard time typing on that. Between dwinking and using the mini, I am known to have many many typos so forgive me in advance.

Chrissy, nice to see you in da lounge. And happy birthday to your beautiful grandbabies.

Scuby, sorry about the sleep thing, hope you are able to sleep in tomorree.

Well my WD's are stalking me and me tinks dey want to eat. So I will feed them and might as well mix up a dwinkie while I am up.

    CheerZ!!

I don't know Beans.  I was wearing a pink and acid green "tutu" over my cycling gear during the "tutus and tiaras" ride earlier today.  The birthday girl was late because she was doing the cougar gig being chatted up by a young guy while getting her coffee.

We froze waiting for her.  Was beyond fun seeing the guys put on the tutus for the ride.

Repaired to an Irish pub for some "cake and ale".

Now home and having wine.  The ale was wonderful post ride, but now need something stronger.

Think I've had enough wine for the night....new bottle of cabernet and its not that good but I'm not letting it go to waste...just know not to order it again.....

DS is going up to the mountains tonight for a day or two....he has a free say of snow boarding tomorrow....he has actually beeen pleasant the past couple days....so nice.....

getting portrait with DD#2 tomorrow...Both DS and DH said its not a family portrait without oldest DD (married DD)...I said its just the family who still lives in the house...DS asked if I was okay with him not wanting to do it....not a problem for me....it will be fun to just do it with DD#2....

Mom got the picture book today...she loved it...so MIL must have also gotten hers today...but MIL does not have a computer...the only reason she has an answering maching is cuz DH gave her one!!!!!

Bought my tickets for winter vacation....decided to fly into west palm beach as it is closer for Mom...Mom was so happy when I told her...it is a connecting flight (:   the fare is good and on Sunday and arrives at a decent time.....so I'll arrive on a Sunday and be with my folks till Thursday...then I fly to Toronto to spend Shabbat with my DD and SIL.....fare are decent but not great.....direct flights to Toronto and home again...it was a little cheaper to take a connecting fligt but not enough of a savings for the hassle.....So in 4 weeks, I'm leaving on a jet plane again!!!  it will be my 4th flight to my parents in 2011.....Feb, June, Oct and now December...it feels good....I hope the weather is warm as I would like some pool time....Speaking of weather, it is supposed to be 68 on turkey day!!!!

Going to go check out a few other threads at bco and then get into bed and read....sweet dreams...

Beans, more hugs, it $ucks to lose good peeps! But tanks for de Flyboy, DorK, you rockin de fab food and de fab Flyboy!

Kathy/Lori, was relieved to see the whole quilt thing got resolved, NM gave us a nice view, didn't want it disturbed!

Well, it is Sunday now, we needs a new DOTD, we have friends coming for brunch (goodfriends, they are bringing de brunch, yay DMe!). So, more vodka!

My DOTD is an Igloo Sue
