Shel, You've been through lots. Your daughter truly is precious cargo when traveling through Cabo. I admire your spunk, girl.

You've got spirit, Peggy. That's all that counts to hang out here. Liquid or not.

    Hi drinkin' buddies -

I'm on Black Opal Shiraz tonight. Said I wasn't going to drink tonight (earlier when I was at work and COULDN'T drink) but after I got home, the already-open bottle actually spoke to me....it said, "Donna - just have ONE glass..."

Anywho - hope everyone had a good weekend. It's been around 150 degrees here forever, but today, it actually RAINED! For several hours! High of 85. Let's hear a big WOOHOO!

    Cheers sistas ~

Does anyone watch the Showtime series "Weeds"? BF and I rented the first season over the weekend. It's hilarious!

Although when Elizabeth Perkins (don't recall her name on the show) is getting her chemo for BC, it did bring back some bad memories. BF said. "Is that what it's really like"? I said, "yes, only without the cameras and hot-looking male nurses."

Anywho - it's a funny show. Maybe my wine bottle should stop talking to me now....

Shel, THANK YOU! I know lots of nurses think L&D is a cushy job (not!)...like to hear some positive reinforcement now and then.

2 weeks left of my LOA, then back to the trenches!

My bottles plead: "driiiiiink meeeeeee" so how can I refuse?

And, Donna, just have one BIG glass!

Nope, 5pm. Hate when it's a weekday and I'm home and it's only noon and it starts talking. Like to wait 'til dinnertime.

Hey yeah! I got an email at work a week ago or so, and it said that I was in charge of drinks for our company picnic this year, and that we could serve alcohol, but only ONE drink per person. Luckily, I was in charge of the glasses.

I'll bet our friend Peggy got the same email and could find that pic in a heartbeat and post it.

I'm too tech challenged. Used to be better. I blame it on chemo/meno brain. (I'm sure it couldn't be the wine!)

Come to think of it - I think someone already posted that pic here...

You're lucky you get to serve a drink. My husband's company used to have all kinds of fun parties at all kinds of fun places with keggers and lots of wine. No longer. Not PC, I guess.

It's all about liability. Because everyone wants to sue everyone else no one can have any 'fun' anymore!

I was just joking about the picnic email and the ONE glass only thing. It's a joke that's been going around the Internet.

Are you kidding me? I now work for (ashamed to even say it)....UnitedHealthcare. I worked for PacifiCare for 12 years before we were acquired in Dec '05 by United.

There's no company picnic, no Christmas party, no bonus, no customer service, no pride in your job ....no nothing except bad karma, disappointment, and a headline every week in the Wall Street Journal about our CEO making a BILLION dollars last year in potentially illegal stock options.

Anywho - don't EVEN get me started on that. Or there will more than the wine bottle talking to me. Like the Greygoose bottle, and the Bacardi bottle.....

    Ooooh! Did you say GreyGoose?

You're just supposed to be grateful that you have a job. That's it. Grateful. I suppose. Could be worse, but definitely could be better.
