Hi Babes i'm Back.
England was great, with my friend, but sooooooooooo glad i'm home. It's manic over there and everyone is so up their own bottoms. Long stories.
Anyway, have brought friend back home with me for a couple of weeks cos she was not behaving and resting over there.
One Sunday morning, a priest decided to do something a little different. He said 'Today, in church, I am going to say a single word and you are going to help me preach. Whatever single word I say, I want you to sing whatever hymn that comes to your mind -- the pastor shouted out 'CROSS.' Immediately the congregation started singing in unison, 'THE OLD RUGGED CROSS..' The pastor hollered out 'GRACE.' The congregation began to sing 'AMAZING GRACE, how sweet the sound.' The pastor said 'POWER.' The congregation sang 'THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD.' The Pastor said 'SEX' The congregation fell into total silence. Everyone was in shock. They all nervously began to look around at each other afraid to say anything. Then all of a sudden, way from in the back of the church, a little old 87 year old grandmother stood up and began to sing 'MEMORIES.'

Glad they found out about moms medicine and took her off it, now to convince her to stay longer. I know she will be sad when you leave for 10 days. Also hoping you can bump into Jaybird.

Tidy, I hope you are feeling better today and have a productive appt with your PS. And DITTO what Dinka says. Make sure you LIKE HIM.
Juliet, I have not heard of St. Davids day?
Welcome home Bernie. Glad you friend is doing well and so sweet of you to bring her home with you. LOL @ everyone being up their own bottoms!
STELLA...........WHERE ARE YOU?
While looking for a DOTD, I stumbled upon this. Thought it funny, especially the end!
From the intelligentsia that brought you eye shots and butt chugging...
Now, how many times have people called you a drunk asshole? How many times have you gotten drunk off your ass? Has anyone ever told you to take that drink and shove it up your ass? Guess what, now you can.
There's a not so new fad that's snaked its way into the back door of America's youth and it comes in the form of a tampon. Apparently, you're not anybody until you've doused a vampire's teabag with vodka and wedged it up your rectum.
What will they think of next? Hopefully something that actually works because one journalist chick tried this for reals and said it just made her feel a little light headed, but i'm thinking that may just come from bending over in a toilet stall and trying to back a drunk driver up the Hershey highway.

goldie, lmao, but it is tampon free! st david is the patron saint of wales

LOL Lawrri at da "dwunk asshole" remedy....OMG hope they are not REALLY doing dat! I also ROFLMAO at Bernie's comment about everyone being "so up their own bottoms"! Love the diff slangs in diff countries. Cutw widdle kitty in da dark box....pwecious!

CHrissy, Waaaaaay kewl gwasses!!! Love da color and da design on da sides! Looks gwate on ya! I get the funky colors in reading glasses like Scoobs does, but my prescp ones are just boring! Thanks for sharing your pics....we LUBS seeing ya, even if only in pics....like you are here in person almost.
Like Dorkie, said, "Happy Thirst-Dey" to you all! Think maybe I will skip the dwink idea Lawri posted and maybe have some Irish Coffee....LOL. Karen, let us know what the urine thing is all about....I mean not the TMI stuff, but the reason you are having to do it. Tiedye, we are anxious to hear if you like your new PS...I had to cancel my recon surg as about 3 days b4 it was scheduled, I finally listened to EVERYONE, and also my own gut, and realized he was a horrid PS and I was SO happy when I changed to a wunnerful one. Gots to beez happy wid our sculptor!
Hugs, Glugs, Mugs, and NO Flubs,

A day to myself today....so much that I can do in the house.....tidy up my office, or the storage room (but hate being there long as no windows)...or start organizing stuff for taxes, or even do my homework for my class that is 2 weeks late (for some reason can't make myself do it)....but what to do!!!!! where do I start.....Of course I could just waste the day on the computer...but thats probably not a good idea!!!
24 hour urine...its a 24 hour urine sample....its to look at hormones.....lab is in the Carolinas (sorry but I forget which one and too lazy to get up and look at the addy)....
It looked so pretty out at 7 (its now 8:30), but the weather is a changing....temps dropping a snow starting this afternoon....not much predicted, but enough to wreck havic with driving....
Well.....going to figure out what I want to do today......Oh yeah....car needs washing...if I'm going to do that better do it soon....but just seeing the TV and its only 33....too cold to do that...so guess I will have to continue to look at a dirty, dirty, car!!!
See everyone later today!!!

Tiedye, hope your PS appointment goes well. And we all yo yo with our feelings. It's normal.
Welcome back Bernie!
I just quickly scanned posts, will have to go back later. Hi Lori and dork! And Juliet, anybody else I missed?
Wahine! Did I read your mom and dad were remarried? There's a story i want more of!
We are going out of town this afternoon to a dance competition in Ft Wayne, Indiana. We used to compete, we're even on a dance team (country, west and east coast swing, two step, line dance). Anyway, a lot of our friends still do, and every time we all get together, it's so much fun. The event this weekend is ran by a very good friend of ours, Jamie Marshall, who is a five time world line dance champion! So a lot of our friends are going this weekend, and she sent us tickets! Aubrey is going too, no school tomorrow, and her daddy has taught her how to two step. Other kids will be there, too, and there are endless dance workshops going on, should be fun. We won the show stopper at this same competition 16 years ago! Lol. Anyway, problem is my damn toe. Have not put a shoe on all week, been soaking it, taking medicine, etc., etc., have called my doc every day for result of culture. So I call this am, and the receptionist tells me they have the results, but the Dr will have to read them and decide what to do and then call me back? WTH? She could tell I was upset, and said "don't freak out, it will be ok." WTH again?? I told her I needed the dr to call me back ASAP cause we were going out of town, and if I would need another medication, because it could possibly be resistant, I would need time to fill it!! Will let you know soon as I know. Crossing my fingers....0 -
Alli, Let us know asap when your dr calls, and hope everything is ok! Let me tell you, I am so envious of your weekend! That is AWESOME! Esp that you both are such good dancers, and have won the competition in the past!!! I never really danced till after I lost my DH....then took a guy friend with me and we took lessons and had a ball....even went to weekly dances, etc. Loved it, esp the West Coast Swing, and ChaCha. At one time I dated a dance instructor (not from where I took lessons; met him at a singles dance), and he has now owned a studio for yrs. BUT my current DH and I have tried to take lessons, and it hasn't worked out, and of course I forgot all I learned!!! Maybe you could teach us here at the HTL. I wonder if you need to cut out part of a shoe where your toe hurts, so you can dance??? I have thought of doing that so I can wear shoes on the treadmill. OH I am SO GLAD you will have such a fun weekend!!!! Now, hoping your dr calls back asap and you don't need new meds, etc. What is with these drs lately, who make us wait so long for results????
Karen, good excuse not to wash the car....sounds toooooo cold to me!
Scooby, Hope your tooth is fixed by now, and you are doing ok!
Luv to ALL,
Kath

HiYa Dahhlings,
Welcome back Bernie and thanks for the yoke. You are the sweetest for taking care of your friend. Just glad you are back.
NM and Beans - sooo glad to hear that news. OMG...was soo worried. You both rest up now!
Karen, hmmm on the urine for hormones, new one to me. But pray it all comes out good...excuse the pun. My DD had to do that for many years, but was cuz her kidneys were failing. Now she has 1 healthy one, don't have to anymore.
WaWa - maybe meet up later for a few dwinks, eh?
Goldie - Yeah, I had it wrong, boobs, foobs,...but I gots it now. LOL about that tampon thingy. But really, it's disgusting, what will these kids think of next. Scarey Chit if ya ask me!
Chrissy - love the glasses...you look MarVlous! Thanks for sharing.
Tied - I agree with the other goils, ya gotta like your PS. Try not to stress and jes see how it goes. I'll be praying for ya.
DorK- you are working too hard....take some time and join us later if you can.
Alli - dancing with dat toe? Sounds like fun except for that. Hope the doc calls you back tomorrow so you'll know where you stand...yuk yuk, sorry for the pun again!!
Scoob - hope you can get that tooth fixed. Do you know how it broke off? Have you been on hormonals? I have something about some treatments that affect the teeth and jaw bones...but can't for the life of me find it...so, I'm jes rattling on. Hope all goes well tamary for ya!
Thanks to everyone for the kind words bout my pooches...like the doglets description. It fits with my Bella for sure. Everyone have a gr8 evening, sorry if I missed anyone and I'll try and get back a little later for a dwink or twos!

The doctor finally called, said it WASN'T MRSA, thank goodness. Is epi staph, very common around fingers and toes. Told me to keep doing what I'm doing, stay on current meds. Also told me I could wear shoes this weekend, but just not all day, to give it a break and soak it. It doesn't hurt anymore, so off we go!! Woo Hoo! We are picking up a friend along the way. I have wine on ice for the ride, as DH is driving, so we Angie and I will have some cocktails. Soooooo ready to get the hail outta here!! Will check in later! Muah!

Hello goils and happy Thristdey! Rounds for ebberybody!!
Bernie, welcome home, I missed your jokes.
Tied, I am anxious to hear how your appointment with the PS went today. I hope you are feeling better about things.
Alli, thank God no MRCA infection. Enjoy your weekend, sure sounds like a lot of fun. Uh, is Stella still wtih you? I have not heard from her since you bought her new shoes. I am hoping you have her. And yes ma'am, Kathy's folks were remarried. Isn't that the sweetest thing?
Katrwinka, I hope you do not mind me answering Alli's question for you. How is your stomach feeling? And are you here with me for Pau Hana? Hate to admit it, but I am getting ready to log in and work some more tonight but I am with dwink! Shhh, don't tail my people as I do not wanna drug down to human resources again.
Beanie, is your doc going to send you for a mam on the breast with the lump? I sure hope so. And I am soooo sorry you have been feeling down. I hate to hear that. Can you pop in for some dwinks with us goils? I can have Mr. Big give you a nice long full body massage. Chit, dat sounds really nice, I think I see him obber at de bar with Katrinka. Dat goil always steals the attention of de tenders with her pure beauty.
Lori, how is de nose doing? De pollen has not yet started here but I will know when it does. I do not suffer like you do with allergies but I have a black car and the pollen makes it look like chit. I also cwacked up at the asshole tingy you posted. Dat was funny. And the kitty in de box is adorable.
NM, I hope things are settling down for you and that your anxiety level is improved. I believe today is day three of your xanax treatment. How is the cough and respritory doing? Hoping you are feeling much better. Sending you a few more hugs.
Speaking of adorable, I forgot to tail Mema Sue how cute her fur babies are. I just love little dogs or doglets, as Karen calls them. Love that word. I hope you are feeling well, Sue. I think of you and de others goils all de time.
Lisa, can't wait to see you. Maybe you can grab a photo of me with my blond hair! I would like that. I will try to remember to bwing my camera. I know we will not have a lot of time as we both have to git back to work but any time with you will be precious. I can't wait to see Dr. Fox and get details on my shitty-titty.
Karen, you remind me a lot of myself in procrastinating with things you need to get done. I am the queen of that. I hope your wine arrives as planned. I will join you for a fine glass of wine if that is alright.
Chrissy B, me and da Bean are planning a big arse partay for you when you get your new knee. But you have to promise to stop in de lounge more often. I jest lub partaying with yose. How is your weather there in Oz? I believe you are now entering the fall season? And I am so glad you are wearing out those mary jane shoes. They are very comfy, I will be sad when I wear mine out. And girl, soooo many things remind me of you. When I ride anywhere we toured, I think of you. When I eat food we ate together, I think of you. Gosh, sounds like a love note here. Hmmm, I guess it is cuz me lubs you muchly.
Where is Unde"? She has not reported in for a few days. Should we put out an alert for her? And who else is missing?
Hello Juliet. Uh, I tink you talk too much. haha, kidding ya! I wish you would write more when you post but that is just because I want to get to know you better.
Well, I have to face the fact that I need to do some work. I spend so much time on my end of month purchase loans and failed to realize that 3/5 is right around the corner. I have a lot of work to do as I had not touched my March files for several weeks until today and I have some hot messes to deal with. Ughhh, I'd radder dwink de night away but such is life!
CheerS my ladies.

My dad broke a crown off his front tooth today, and we have gone (DH and I) to this dentist for years and years and years. Well, the dang gal in the office (someone new) said he could come in in 2 weeks! I said "Your're kidding.....that is the soonest the dentist can see him? I'll call you back" and I hung up. DH called and taked to the dentist, and now my dad will see him in the morning....YAY! The other gal must have been out to lunch, but so glad he doesn't have to wait that long! Had a nice Happy Hour with them viewing the ducks and geese on the lake. THe herons were in their yard yesterday. SO neat watching all the wildlife.
Hope ebbery1 is doing well....think of ALL of you, even though I don't mention everyone in every post. Chears!! Slainte!!!

Oh yeah....glad Dorkster answered about my parents for Alli, but I will elaborate a bit for those that don't know the story. On Dec 7, 1941, my parents were on their honeymoon in my g'pa's beach house in Kaneohe, on the bay. WELL, on Dec 7, the Japanese bombed the marine/air station in Kaneohe, across the bay from them BEFORE bombing Pearl Harbor. So they were scared, esp my mom since my dad went right outside to direct traffic, and help everyone, leaving her alone in the house! When they realized what was happening, of course the entire island was on alert, and had to use blackout draperies, cover the lights on their car, except for a pinhole area, etc. My dad worked at the Bank, and since the govt thought the Japanese would take over the islands and the economy, everyone had to bring in their money to exch for money perforated or stamped with HAWAII, so in case of a takeover, the money would be worthless unless marked that way. He said they were throwing money in paper bags and just tossing them in the safe. Long story about all that, but then my parents divorced when I was 12, and eventually both remarried others. Well, they were widowed within a yr of ea other, and then got together and remarried ea other 8 yrs ago! AND it is a good thing, as they love each other and help each other out. My dad actually had several marriages, but always loved my mom and wanted her back, She was able to remarry him because he had changed a lot and mellowed out a bit!!!

Morning Babettes, sad to hear that Davey Jones of the monkees died. I loved their tv show when i was young.
Only brought my friend back so she could do the housework.
Mr. Smith wanted to become a teacher in the worst way, but the only job he could find was as an instructor at an all female college teaching sex education. His wife was a very jealous woman so Mr. Smith decided he would tell his wife that he would be teaching sailing at this college so that she would not get angry. He was very happy and for months all was well. As fate would have it, one day in the grocery store check out lane, Mrs. Smith overheard a group of girls standing in line behind her talking about college and their instructor Mr. Smith. The girls went on and on about how great this Mr. Smith was at teaching their class. The cashier handed Mrs. Smith her change and said, "Have a great day Mrs. Smith, and thank you, again." One of the girls in line heard the cashier, and asked Mrs. Smith if she was related to the Mr. Smith that was teaching at the college. Mrs. Smith replied, "Yes, he is my husband." Well that set off a torrent of accolades about how knowledgeable Mr. Smith was about the subject matter he was teaching, about how he got the whole class to discuss their fears about learning the subject. Well Mrs. Smith was taken back by what she heard from these girls and replied, "I don't know how you find him to be so gifted at teaching you this course. You know he only tried it twice in his life. The first time he tried it, he got sick, and the second time, his hat blew off and he just quit."

No alert needed Dork, checking in for my drink. I've got my hands full here-i'm moving in may and packing way ahead of time. Usually I procrastinate but I love packing, crazy I know. And I have to run to reno this month and help my older brother as he's moving back home in april. He's disabled and needs the sibs help to pack, drive etc. Then i'm going to interview another PS on the 9th-fingers crossed that i'll like her as i'm ready to get this show on the road. I can't buy any cute shirts I see in the stores as i've no idea what size i'll be. I'm a bit of a shopaholic so it's driving me nutty. There's so much more going on like helping the parents w/their problems so I can't get a free moment until I have surgery. Almost looking forward to the break! TIDES-Let us know how your interview went. Have to get going but i'll be back for more drinks tomorrow nite. Cheers girls!

Take it easy on that toe Alli, don't be doin nuttin stooopit, K? Let DH and DD do all the dancing. Have fun.
DorK, isn't it nice to know, that we all know one another SO WELL, that we can answer a question that was asked to another loungette! Ya know, I wunder if Stella is at da Beans, or at Scuby's? As foy my nose, it is still planted on my face. Did you really go blond? I thought you wuz kidding. I would work at night too, but no matter how much or how little I work, I still get paid the same.....lol.
Kathy, glad your DH had some pull at the dentist for your dad. Speaking of dentist, I am going today, routine stuff. Oh how I would love to sit at your folks house, by the water and all that wild life, especially the birds.
Mema, you think Stella is still wif Alli? Hmmmmm.........makes sense tho, about the dancing and all.
Scuby, shore hope you can make it through the weekend with that tooth. I think you said you had appt on MONkey Dey. Any chance you could get in today as an emergency?
Karen, git ur glasses fixed, we can't have you walking around with a dent in your head!
Beansie, a hug for you and hoping you have a better day today. If you need to talk, just holler.
Bernie, how long is your friend going to be there with you? Have you showed her around The HTL?
Undy, glad you checked in and glad to know you are just busy. Where are ya moving to? Somewhere totally different, or staying in the same area? Let us know again when you interview with the new PS gets closer.
NM, I hope you are doing better.
On that article I had posted, they were also showing a kid doing an "eye shot", where they take vodka and pour it right into their eye!!!!!

Good morning, Loungettes! Finally feeling better, taking the weekend off work, working the med plan from my PCP, called the hospital and talked with a patient rep about the ER doc's comment (and some other stuff that went on), had a great session with my counselor, been able to sleep. Still tired, but tired I can deal with. Yet again I experience the importance of medical people STOPPING and talking to a patient, not just popping in and out of a room and tossing comments over a shoulder. I didn't realize how much that doc's comment was still upsetting me until my counselor pointed out that I keep going back to that moment, and again after I called and made the formal complaint and heard the patient rep say that she was sorry that happened to me and told me how she was going to follow up and when she would call me back. OK, 'nuff of my dramatics now, time to play ketchup!

Wahine--Being under a tornado watch would be terrifying to me--I do not know how you folks who live in that area of the country can just go on with life! At least blizzards and nor'easters arrive after a few days notice and not out of the blue (or black at night). Hope you stay safe! Yes we do have the occasional tornado in Maine (average of 2 a year) but they are very small and usually in the woods and it takes the NOAS a few days to a few weeks to even verify that it WAS a tornado!
Arostook County Maine May 2009 DorKy--Oh, no, not another class mate gone! NOT FAIR! I'll get dwunk with you --virtually today, for real in a week or so.

Chrissy--I wish I could say I wouldn 't read my scan reports, but I knew something wasn't right when the doc said the report was normal but I needed to see a specialist. Normal test reports do not need a follow up with a specialist. I know enough to know when I'm being lied to, and being brushed off. And if this doc is doing that to someone who KNOWS how to read those reports, what is he saying to people who don't have the background? If I went home when he told me to and went into status asthmaticus again I could have died--just from being "a damned cancer patient overreacting to a little cough." And I know enough about my body to know that after spending 20 minutes trying to get blood from me that trying again and again wasn't going to work and I did not allow it. He was pissed that I didn't kowtow to his "authority" and let him torture me. AND he's going to find out that he picked the wrong patient to do that to. It would have taken him a grand total of 10 seconds to tell me if my lung sounds were getting better. That's all I wanted to hear. Instead he tells me that I'm just hysterical and taking up his time. My PCP is part of that hospital system and she is so upset by the episode that she's filing a formal complaint, too. Ah, Chrissy, sorry to get up on my soap box on you, I know you are right, and I will try to be a "good" patient from now own. Thank goodness for your friend's good results! That is soo good to hear!

Scuby--YIKES! I'm glad you've got drugs to get through until you can see the dentist. Hoping for a quick, easy, fix!
Karen--Hope you got your jammie evening! Doglets--cute term, very descriptive! Staying home can be a nice break sometimes.

Beanie--HOORAY!!!!

Tidy--being excited about the idea of getting new boobs is one thing, the reality of an appointment tomorrow is a whole other thing! Anxiety, fear, nervousness, anticipation, the realization that this isn't just a thought but a plan for surgery with anesthesia, pain, risks, recovery, possibility of complications is a whole different thing. Of course you're emotions are rollercoastering. Let us know how it goes, ok? And like Wahine says, wanting to do something and having to do something are 2 very different things.

Juliet--'roid rage on the doc??? YES!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Thank you for a GREAT idea!!!!!

Chrissy--GREAT specs!!!!!!!

Bernie--LOL!!!! "everyone is so up their own bottoms" is a phrase that brings some very, very odd mental pictures!

Goldie--never heard of THAT use for a tampon! I've used them to sop up lots of drainage from yucky wounds and to stop bleeding, but to get drunk with? To each his own, I guess!

Mrs. Vino--Want me to call your doc's office and raise a little he## for you? I have very little tolerance for that kind of put off, and am spoiling for a good fight, might as well get some good use out of the 'roid rage before it wears off. Maybe it's time to go to another doctor and have them get the report and let you know what is going on? THIS CRAP IS NOT RIGHT, AND WE SHOULD NOT BE PUTTING UP WITH IT. Call the office back and ask what the criteria is for being allowed to freak out. Make the receptionist realize she screwed up. Mention her comment to the doctor when/if you ever connect. AHA--I see the doc called! GREAT! Did you mention the receptionist's comment? Enjoy your trip!

Wahine--such a romatic story about your folks! So tied up with history. Time does mellow people, sometimes. Going to Hawaii to see the historic sites like Kaneohe and Pearl Harbor is on my bucket list. If my list gets much longer I'll never be able to die because there won't be time!
Bernie-- I remember the Monkees, too. Great songs, fun to sing, no deep meanings of life, etc.

Undy- keeping busy is a good way to keep the heebie jeebies away! So loving of you to help your brother move.
Goldie--great DOTD! Gonna half to look up --it even sounds sexy!
