There's a Testicle Festival here, in the Ozarks area. Ha, I thought that was so funny. I did have those Rocky Mountain oysters, once in Montana, my ex-DH was from there, but I would only try them once.

Janis - I know what you mean about the "drive" being stuck with the brakes on. Do we ever get that ol feeling back or is it gone forever? Why didn't anyone tell us this would happen, maybe I just thought it would never happen to me! Although since I switched from Tamox to Aromasin, I am at least noticing, with some interest, good looking guys again

Christine, I don't know what it is. I can do 'it' and I can 'get there' but it's not like it was before. I used to be 'horny' all the time, thought about sex (getting laid) 24/7 and now, well, no true desire and I really don't care if I ever get it again. I'm extremely bothered that I don't have any sex drive but what can I do? It's not in my head, it's definitely a physical problem. I'm blaming Tamoxifen. Okay, off to bed - alone!

As a former bartender, a patient newly dx'd with bc, this is a very reassuring thread to me. It has only been 2 weeks, but I'm just not ready to have this additional vice excluded from my life.

Eileen- welcome here. I am sorry you had to join us. As you have probaby read this is known as the "funnest" thread. Depending on what treatment you'll have, you may find you need a break from drinking or don't care to think about a cocktail or a beer for awhile, then like most of us, you'll find you're on your way to your "new normal" but feeling good enough to get back to some of the "old you"
Good luck to you. This site is a wonderful place with lots of wonder people.
We have a couple former bartender, me included (as well as sever and restaurant mgr) Most fun was behind the bar (OK not as much fun as the side of the bar)

    Welcome Eileen!

Drinking a Fosters right now, and plan on going out in the motor boat SOMEtime today. Battery is dead, so what's a girl to do whilst she waits for it to charge? Crack open a cold one, don't you know.

Have Citron & tonic packed to drink on the water (if we ever get there that is.)

Janis - you know what is ironic? Here you are (former sex pot & all) and now feeling like something has drained out of your sexpot...things aren't quite like they used to be and you hate it. And rightly so.

I, on the other hand was married for 20 years to a man who never wanted to have sex with me. Claimed he loved me and WANTED to be sexual with me, but I ALWAYS initiated, and it was just mediocre at best. I didn't think of sex much, and why would I, because basically, it sucked (and not sucked in a good way.)

After 20 years of that crap (plus some other crap too) I NOW think about sex all the time, due to BF of 1 year, and can't believe what I missed out on for SO long. But, I am just glad I found out about it! Now I must wonder, how many other women out there just THINK they know what good sex is, but really don't. Of course, it's subjective, so.....I think those 2 Fosters I had are getting to me and making me write a post that should really be on the mojo thread.

If I'm sober enough later, I'll check back in with you all to see if I'm the only drunk gal. Don't let me down, girls!

    Cheers!

Donna, I'm SO glad someone here is getting it good AND enjoying it!

I DO know what good sex is and all I can say is my loss of estrogen is the culprit. Oh well, there's always wine!

    lol janis!!!!!

it's wierd for me too........i never lost "mojo" and luckily captain fantastic knows what he's doing in the sack (gee no wonder he was popular with the young band bunnies for a while there.......cause he's not all that to look at lol)......anyhow, i still desire "it" mentally, but physically it takes for freaking ever and all the goop required embarrases me sometimes......not to mention the "new boobs" and 10lbs of belly fat!

i'm extremely self conscious now and i think that really gets in my way a lot.......so for me there's always beer lol!

i'm on the wrong thread again........oops!

We finally got the boat out on the lake around 4:30 today, then had to get a jump from another boat about 6:30....thank GOD women aren't afraid to ask for help. But it was a fun, relaxing time.

Had a couple of Citron & tonics on the boat then a beer and am now on '03 Sterling Cabernet. Yummy. Think I'm wasted. Do you all see a big, purple, Bigfoot running across the backyard too?

Hope everyone is having a relaxing, safe long weekend.

    Cheers!

Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
    Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror....

Speaking of purple, no I wasn't talking about the confused couch, but my tongue after a good bottle of red. Why do the cheap wines never turn your teeth, tongue and lips purple, only the really good ones?

I always thought those words were 'you had one eye in the mirror as you watched yourself go by.'

Shel: Your were mugged this week-end? How scary.

Oh well, good night all and please have a spirit for me.
