Good morning, Loungettes! Another foggy am, but going to clear up later today. I'm going in to work an extra shift today, but said I'd be in around 9 to give myself time for a leisurely breakfast and coffee or two, and give them time to settle out the visit schedule before I start. I'm not as altruistic as you might think, it's the beginning of a 3 day weekend, things are going to be crazy, the more that gets done during the day today the less I have to cope with tomorrow and Sunday. Selfish, aren't I?

Cyn the INR is a blood test to check the time it takes for the blood to clot. I had a knee replacement done about eight weeks ago and Unfortunately I developed a clot. The meds, coumadin, I take are to keep my blood thin so the clot will disolve and not break up. For me, my system is just soooo damn sensitive that getting the levels right has been and is a nightmare. The one good thing is I see the specialist late next week and if the clot has gone I can throw that damn meds away and have to do this anymore........and if I do I'm just going to ask for clexain. I'm happy to inject every day instead of this up and down business.

Kathy, pictures did not work for me, and then, like you, walla, they were there. LOL about da chit and da wind!!!! I also must say, I thought yesterday was Wednesday, hence the Happy Hump Day HUNK. Cyn, yes I live in a rural area and my docs are all about a two hour drive away from me but thankfully there is a very small community hospital that does the INR by a finger prick test rather than the full blood draw. Yes it's the coumadin that is giving me all the problems but hopefully for not much longer as I see the specialist on Thursday next week......yay!

I am still upset over the post I lost last night. Really, it was the best post from me ever hehe. Really, I was so mad I actually slammed my fist on my desk top. It was the first time I actually took notes before I wrote the post. I was signing off when I hit something and poof, the RB ate my post. , with the I used to able to find them in most cases by hitting back or the undo but lately have not succeed in finding them. This is since the new layout. Ok, I tink I need a dwink and to jest let go.
I have to go out and have my hair washed and blown dry. Can't do it myself, do not have talent to make all my wild curls behave. If I tried, I would have a frizzy mess on my head. Speaking of, Ali your hair is coming along nicely. From the pics I have seen, it looks great. Of course you cheat with being trained in the field haha.

Well sorry to the ones I missed, I am still in a fog from sleeping so darn late. Now to figure out how to get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight. I have to be on the road by 8:30am for the long drive to North Joysey for my late FIL's memerial service. I am stressing over getting everything together for that. I will be meeting my ex hubs gf for the first time and of course I have to look better tha her lol.
Funny thing and i am sharing this with you goils only. Over the past few years, I have given alot of thought of getting together with my ex. He was my soul mate although there is no longer a physical attraction. He is so good to our daughter and my dogs and unlike my current DH, he is just the kindest and most gentle man I know. I had joked about us remarrying so that I could get his medical benefits. I will not act on this thought as my Steve would be so upset if he knew I thought about this. Not to mention that my ex is in a pretty serious relationship. But honestly, I sometimes wish I had never divorced him. Ok, that is off my chest. No comments please, just needed to express that. Steve has again been driving me nuts with his dillusional thoughts and chat. He now thinks that because Mitt Romney wrote him on FB, that he will soon be working for his campaign. The boy is nuts sometimes. He is very good to me but my dogs, not so nice. Not sure how much more I can take. His mom is going to be putting her home on the market and I just don't think I want him back here again. Ok, I said it. ~sigh~

My little Bella is scared of the camera and you can see her running away. I think the fear stems from her abuser taking photos of her babies. For those who do not know, she was siezed by police in NY from a backyard breeder and was nearly starved to death when they took her. She is such a sweet girl as all three of them are. Mandi is my 11 year old and of course you can pick out de baby, Lana. Hope this shows.

Cyndie, Yes we used to go back to HI a lot, but since my parents bought a place here, we have them here for 2-3 mo at a time, then when they go back, we have SO much to catch up on at our place.I don't think my dad realizes how much we do not do here, just to do things for them. PLUS I only like to go back to HI betwn Nov-Mar, as it gets TOOO hot in the summer months. ANd his home is at the beach, and very hot there...no a/c. My family goes way back to the 1800's when they came over from Madeira (mom's side) and my great-great-gpa invented the ukulele with 2 other Madeirans, on their way over to Hawaii. On my dad's side, his mom was on a round-the-world cruise from Englan with her parents, and met her future husband when they stopped in Australia....he followed them to HI, they eloped and stayed there. Her parents disowned her. So my Dad was born on the Big Island. Love going back to visit, as I was raised there too, but just too crowded and expensive for me to want to live there. ALSO, once I moved to the mainland and went through "seasons", I missed that when I moved back to Hawaii.
ANyone here for Pau Hana? If not, think I will meander into the casino....after hitting the free ATM that is. Bernie, come back here, we miss you, as well as Beanie, Gail, Karen, Jaybird, HunkyD, the other Cindy......etc.....

Have a friend who is visiting FL and said that they were going to be in my neck of the woods tomorree and will be at a bar in town that I never heard of ..its an "alternative bar" and I live an "alternative livestyle"...I never even knew it existed and its moving locations to right down the street from my house...I stopped in to the location its at now to check it out ..locate the bathrooms..etc..Im very excited that I may have a place to hang my hat every now and then that is close by ...not as close as the HTL tho...

Cyndie...... Don Ho.......*barf*.....LOL. Most locals did not like him....he had lots of girlfriends (while married) and thought he was really something. One time (in my early 20's),my GF and I went to his show, and they sat us upfront, with free champagne, and we were at the after party in his suite...I am surprised we got out alive....his HUGE "honchos" tried to convince us to leave with them. Prolly would have ended up dead. But they always sat the young women on the front row....guess for his big ego! And i had really gotten drunk, thank god my GF and her guy friend dragged me outta there.... Don Ho had a home near my dad's, so my dad heard a lot of the gossip about him too. Hope you like that alternative bar....nice that it will be close to where you live! Ya know, we have the Hunky Tattie Tenders, and the Gorgeous Wenches......(have you seen their pics?), so there is someone for everyone here!!! Long ago when we made up the HTL, we all posted pics and voted on which Tattie Tenders we wanted, and which Wenches we wanted. Remember that, Lori? That was fun, when we first started the HTL. But now, it is also cool, as everyone adds things as they see fit. Would be hard to list all we have here!!!!
